La Huerta Vieja is a fabulous luxury 4-bed villa located on the outskirts of Alhaurin El Grande, in the valley between the River Fahala & the stream of Blas GonzĂĄlez. The property is surrounded by stunning green-belt countryside views, and yet is just a 5 minute drive (5km) from the town centre, just 22km from the airport, 29km from Malaga city centre, 25km from Fuengirola and only 36.5km from Marbella.
The property itself is situated in extensive mature gardens containing 100's of exotic, tropical plants & trees, numerous orange, lemon. lime & pomegranite trees, and topped off with a professionally installed 9-hole putting green, complete with sand bunker and boules court!

Louisa is a Deputy Head Teacher and John is an executive in the Cybersecurity industry. They are both from the Midlands, and live in Andorra and the UK. They have 2 children and visit the villa regularly, and are both learning Spanish in anticipation of eventually spending UK winters relaxing in Spain ;o)
Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
"We have owned property in Andalusia since 2003, and have been holidaying in this part of Spain for many years. We decided that we wanted a more substantial property that offered peace and tranquillity in the Spanish hills, but was still close to a busy 'Spanish' town, and importantly gave us the scope chance to put our stamp on it. As soon as we arrived at the gates we instantly fell in love, and by the time weâd explored the first floor wrap-around terrace, and taken in the uninterrupted 360 degree views of the areaâs mountainous landscape, the large pool with pool-house and outdoor kitchen, and the sprawling orchards with itâs orange, lemon, fig and pomegranite trees, we were hooked and knew that once we'd modernized it to our high standards, it would be the perfect family retreat in the stunning Andalusian countryside.
We made an offer later that day, and by early January 2017 weâd collected the keys and began the refurbishment. We knocked down walls downstairs to create a light, bright and open living space, and installed a new ground floor terrace area. We redecorated the whole house, sourced contemporary furniture from Scandanavia and Italy, added an indoor/outdoor sound system, created a new shaded social/dining area and enhanced the pool-house area with a decked gazebo area that provides the perfect spot for yoga/mediation.
Our property management team look after the maintenance side of things all year round, as well as ensuring that the 2 acres of mature landscaped gardens with 100âs of trees, exotic flowers and plants stay in fantastic condition. The team is led by Roy Potter, who ensures that all our guests have an amazing time."
Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
It's less than 30 minutes drive from the airport & the beach, and only 5-10 minutes drive from the nearest town, Alhaurin el Grande, and yet it feels like you're a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whilst this is the ideal place to unwind and relax with friends and/or family, it's also been renovated to try and create the ultimate entertaining complex in the sun.
We completed work on La Huerta Vieja's sister property, "La Casita" (property ID # 8743809), a 3 bed, 2 bath, luxury modern single storey villa in September 2018 - and we now have 2 completely separate fenced-off properties that can be rented out independently or as 1 large property for large groups of up to 18 people. La Casita was the original property that was the dwelling for the local farmers, and had not been touched for more than 50 years when John and Louisa purchased the villas. The renovation took 12 months & they've now created a modern, luxury open-plan villa that appeals to a wide audience, with an amazing stunning sun deck with amazing views of the mountains and open countryside.
