This holiday flat, renovated in 2014, is located on the harbour in the city centre of MĂĄlaga, on the third floor of an apartment building from the 1940s, with high ceilings.
Feel completely at home thanks to central European living standards (walk in rain shower, underfloor heating in the bathroom, large beds, central heating/cooling), modern kitchen including oven, new windows in bathroom and bedroom, etc. The kitchen / dining / living area is 31 mÂČ in size and offers modern and functional furnishings. Particularly attractive is the bay window in the living room with six windows and a view of a recently renovated old building (listed building) and the large Alameda de ColĂłn with many green palm trees.
The building exudes little charm from the outside, and yet it is a listed building because it bears witness to a difficult Spanish era, the 1940s. Once inside, however, you immediately feel as if you are in an old building, with a floor height of over three metres, Art Nouveau tiles, bay windows and high wooden lattice windows. The flat is approx. 61 mÂČ in size and has two balconies, one by the kitchen (5 mÂČ facing west) and another by the bedroom (4.5 mÂČ facing north). The floor plan is very clever, as a functional patio opens up to the south, a quiet street (Calle San Lorenzo) to the west and the traffic-calmed street "Calle Casas de Campos" to the north. Above the intersection of these streets is your living room with six very charming bay windows, which the landlords have emphasised with indirect lighting. This means you don't have to worry about direct neighbours during your holiday in the flat, except for the landlord, who has his office right next to the flat.
The accommodation is easy to reach by S-Bahn, as the terminus is only about 100 metres away. The street is a traffic-calmed pedestrian zone. It leads directly to the harbour (to the east) and to the contemporary art museum (to the west). There are several bike and Segway hire shops nearby, so why not discover Malaga by bike? From the flat you can reach the cathedral without any disruptive car traffic. All Malaga hotspots, museums, monuments, restaurants and bars are also within walking distance. The fantastic new harbour also invites you to take an evening stroll, a wonderful ambience, especially in summer. Enjoy the lively harbour city of Malaga in a quiet location, with maximum comfort and at affordable prices.
Unfortunately, the hosts were only able to save a few of the beautiful tiles in the flat because they were tiled over and the primer destroyed the stamp colour. So some of the original tiles were laid, some on old tiles, and the rest with oak floorboards (real wood, no laminate!).
