The Bodega Retreat was by far the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The host was exceptionally responsive and the premises were beyond great. We did use the kitchen for family dinners two nights, breakfast /brunch every morning, and snacking frequently and always found everything we needed in the generously stocked kitchen. We hope to be back the next time we are in Bodega.

House was as described and very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked to do some big family meals and grilling. My parents especially appreciated the wildlife on the golf course including hummingbirds, grouse, deer and others that we could observe through the large windows at the back of the house.Only downside was that the cable servixe was poor while we were trying to watch the World Cup!

Scott, it sounds like your family had a great few days here, especially with that wildlife show happening right outside the windows! Hummingbirds, grouse, and deer are pretty hard to beat, and we’re glad the kitchen gave everyone plenty of room to enjoy some big family meals together. We’re sorry the cable gave you trouble during the World Cup though. We know that was definitely not the ideal time for it to be unreliable. We really appreciate you sharing both the highlights and the honest feedback!

A wonderful location in Bodega Bay

The well furnished and appointed house made a great setting for our short visit to Bodega Bay. Great views overlooking the town and the bay added to the enjoyment. Excellent communications from the management company were really helpful in all aspects of the stay. Only blemish was an interaction with a snooty neighbor.

Fabulous Retreat

The home is very spacious and comfortable, with a great attention to detail. Lots of blankets, towels, boardgames, cooking utensils etc We loved the fact that we could watch the ocean and we saw a lot of animals and birds. The hosts are very professional and welcoming, texting over the weekend to make sure we had everything. We highly recommend this house.

Bodega Retreat indeed

The property was great for our stay with adult children and their spouses. Plenty of room to hang out together up in the loft. There are plenty of supplies for kitchen and bathrooms. We found the house to be very clean. We enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs watching the golfers, seeing wildlife and soaking in the cooler temps while overlooking the Bay.

Well stocked home. Very clean. Great for pets with walking across the street with sidewalk was great, awesome deer sightings daily. Beds comfortable. Lay out is a little quirky with steps and dated decor but all was well maintained and all appliances worked very well. It worked for the 3 of us and our golden. The view was magnificent and the neighborhood quiet and relaxing. Best host ever!

Location of property is convenient for out-the-door walks within the Bodega Harbor neighborhood. The outdoor patio provides fantastic views of Bodega Bay, Pacific Ocean, Bodega Head bluff, and native wildlife. The sighting highlight was a juvenile bobcat that meandered across the patio.Host Harman is quick and friendly with communication even if circumstances are awkward. In our case, the awkward was a blackout, at the home and throughout Bodega Bay and beyond. The living and master bedroom are cozy by candlelight. Our Rhodesian Ridgeback felt at home inside and out. We’ll be back to Bodega Bay in the autumn which is another great time to visit.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review, Rick. We are glad you enjoyed the neighborhood walks, the patio views, and the chance to experience the local wildlife, especially that memorable bobcat sighting. We appreciate your kind words about communication, and we are sorry again for the unexpected blackout during your stay, though we are glad you were still able to stay comfortable by candlelight. It is wonderful to hear your Rhodesian Ridgeback felt at home as well. We would be happy to host you again on your return to Bodega Bay in the autumn.

Family get together

We rent at BB several times a year to get the kids together for fun at the beach, hiking and golf. This home was perfect for little ones to hang out upstairs while the adults enjoy time together downstairs and food prep. This home had all needed amenities and was fully stocked with everything a renter would need. Was extremely clean and the trip was wonderful. Will definitely be back

Family New Year vacation

We had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year with our 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren!! We hiked, played on the beach, walked on the beach, cooked great meals together at the house…and played games. We were blessed with perfect weather - in between storms- it started raining again as we drove away!! The house worked out very well for the 8 of us!!

PERFECT Getaway!

I stay in a lot of VRBO properties, and I have to say this experience was seamless. Wonderful communication prior to check in, the property was lovely but in addition to that wonderful touches such as the guest basket (again, I see this a lot, but this one was useful!) and then gentle reminders about things via text...not annoying, simply useful. I was delighted with everything about this experience!

Family holiday visit

The home was lovely. I’ve never seen such a well stocked kitchen from cookware to condiments and rooms all had extra bedding available. Only suggestion would be to label drawers. I liked having tv upstairs and not in main living room. Weather perfect for our visit so we spent time at beautiful close by beaches. The upstairs loft has a futon on the floor for the 4th bed and spaciousness would allow for sofa bed as well. Overall a great place for large group and we’d definitely stay again.

We have stayed in the area before, but Bodega Retreat has been the best yet. Very nice area, the house is gorgeous inside and out, the back patio area is spacious and has a great view of the golf course and the bay. We could hear the waves crashing from the patio. Nice chairs and a big table to sit at. Had my breakfast out there every day. Anything we needed was in the house, even things we did not expect to be there. We all slept very well too. Very close to the beach, we spent time down there too. We will definitely come back to Bodega Retreat in the future. Also, great communication with Patricia and management. Thanks a bunch from the Taylor Family!!!

Clean, excellent communication, fun stay!

A short drive to the ocean — Wrights Beach (15 minutes), and several other areas with water access, we found ourselves very comfortable at the house. The house was very clean and well stocked. It was a shame there wasn’t an overhang of sorts to block the sun when out on the patio trying to view the ocean during the day. Right on the golf course. Communication was unparalleled. Open, friendly, incredibly thorough, super helpful …. Couldn’t have asked for more! Had a wonderful time! Thanks again!

Everything you need!!

We had a wonderful stay! So peaceful. The owner has provided everything you could possibly need! This is truly home away from home! Very clean throughout. Comfortable furniture beds etc. Great lighting for cooking and reading. Excellent kitchen! Again, everything you need! Games, books and great loft area so everyone can spread out if needed. Great food and cocktails at the golf course restaurant. We saw deer and quails right from the living room window! You can hear the ocean and fog horn at night, we came home very rested and look forward to visiting again!
