Newly renovated inside and out - Escape to the coast at this 3 bedroom/2.5 bath home with breathtaking views of Bodega Bay . Take a moment to just watch the fishing boats coming in from the days catch through the channel as you sit out on the deck in the new hot tub. Whatever you decide to do with days with us, you will feel right at home at The Base to Lorrainbow.
Very spacious comfortable home. Host accepted our last minute booking for a next day arrival and everything was great. Great house. Great communication. Over all a fantastic stay.
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. I highly recommend it for anyone looking into it. The views were great, the house was clean and it had everything we could need. Tracie was so great with her communication and very prompt. Will definitely be coming back to this property again.
Very large home with a great kitchen, full laundry, and a great view of the bay. With the binoculars you can see over to Spud Point to see if there's a line. :-) .. There usually is. Our host, Tracie, was always fast to respond, friendly and courteous. Would definitely stay again.
Great house, had everything we needed. Nice central location. Kitchen is well appointed, plenty of good towels and nice bedding. Nice hot tub on the deck, great foosball table in the downstairs family room. All the spaces are really roomy. You could tell a lot of the furniture is new. Cabinets and bathrooms are probably original, but itâs all really well maintained and immaculate. Responsive host. We would definitely stay again. Tempted to give a worse review so itâs available for us next time⊠just kidding. One of the better vrboâs weâve stayed in.
We wanted time away from the âhustle & bustleâ and this home provided all the quiet and peace we were looking for. This is our 2nd time renting and
This home is beautiful! Wonderful views out of picture windows, hot tub on the deck, ping pong and Foosball table for the kids, huge kitchen, etc. The owners have been very thoughtful in providing anything you could need and the location is fantastic. Beds are comfy, plenty of towels and linens, and we even saw deer right outside the house a few times!
Beautiful large home, with many amenities. Loved the Foozball and pingpong tables.Kids lived the soa.We thought it was closer to the ocean/bay, as puctures made us believeb but overall it was very relaxing and enjoyable.
We stayed here with family to celebrate a birthday. It was a nice place to hang out when we werenât out at restaurants or discovering new beaches and views. The foosball table was fun and the hot tub very relaxing. The bar upstairs had a view and we ended up congregating there or on the large sectional. Plenty of space in this house! The check in and out procedure ms were very easy and clear.
This was a great house for our stay. The view from upstairs is fantastic and it was a short walk to the wedding venue for my daughter's wedding. Highly recommend!
Our 3-generation family group had a wonderful stay at this house. The kitchen is a dream with very nice appliances and lots of bakeware and dishes. Even the knives were first rate! We enjoyed walking around the bay and being able to walk to dinner. Highly recommend.
My husband and I had a very quiet and enjoyable stay at this property! Clean and well maintained! Great kitchen it had everything we needed for our stay!
With family from out of state we spent 2 nights. Wish it could have been longer. This is a lovely home with all the amenities. Very clean. Great location. Will definitely book again when returning to Bodega Bay.
Host was very responsive to any questions.
We just spent four nights in this beautiful home. We have used VRBO for over 20 years, and this home is in the top five. It is very clean, airy, lots of windows and wonderful lighting. The house is up a small driveway, just high enough so that there is a panoramic view of the bay. Easy walk to the harbor, the back of the house is all open space with lots of trees. It is less than 10 minutes to the Links at Bodega Harbour. The layout is great for a family, our son and his family stayed on the bottom floor with their one year old, and it was very quiet with complete privacy. The kitchen is incredible, very well stocked and plenty of dishes and glasses. The hot tub looks over the bay, perfect way to relax after staying in a perfect house!
The check in process was seamless, the cleaners were there just prior to our arrival- so the home was warm and clean! The kitchen was well appointed, as were the bathrooms. The only negative was the batteries in the front door lock died and the hot tub wouldnât heat up. However every other aspect of this rental was perfect, especially the ping pong and foosball tables- so much fun! Dominoes and puzzles to useâŠOverall fantastic place to stay!
Location perfect had everything we needed to have a great few days. We were cycling in the area and the place was awesome to regroup after a days ride to relax, eat and socialize. We had an awesome time and Tracie was great to connect with quickly to answer any questions. Would definitely stay here again. Hats off to Bodega Bay!
Bodega Bay is my favorite place to be. I grew up spending many days on its beaches and enjoying its clam chowder. It's such an honor to be sharing it with other families and groups of friends who want to escape to its magical sand dunes, soothing fog horns, and refreshing ocean air.
My grandfather was a commercial fisherman at Bodega Bay. He and my grandmother built this home in 1992. He named his boat Lorrainbow, after my grandmother. Though he passed in 2008, my grandmother stayed in the home until this year of 2022. I had always wanted to keep it in the family. My husband and I bought the home and renovated the entire exterior this summer with new siding, windows, roof and deck. We also did an extensive amount of renovation on the inside of the home, including new floors, appliances and lighting.
When it was time for my grandfather to come in from the days catch, my grandmother would use the CB radio to call out..."Base to Lorrainbow - it's time to come home".
This is a very special place and I do hope when you come to stay at The Base to Lorrainbow, you too feel as if you have come home.
Once you arrive, it will be hard to take your eyes off the view this home offers. Every window has a view, whether it's looking at the ocean or looking at the open sand dunes in the back of the house that are undeveloped and filled with wildlife and native plants.
From here you can walk up the street to Terrapin Creek or Roadhouse Cafe. You can also walk to the Secret Garden, Gourmet Au Bay and Ginocchio's restaurant - all about 5 minutes away. The location of this home makes it the perfect place for a walking adventure no matter which way you decide to go.
The home itself boasts new furniture, flooring, linens, new patio furniture on both decks with gas fire pit, new hot tub, cookware and appliances. There is a ping pong table and foosball table. And every bedroom and living space has a tv. Plenty of space for multiple families to spread out or to gather together.
