Vous et votre famille profiterez d'une escapade relaxante tout en vous remémorant des souvenirs inoubliables. Ce chalet a été entièrement restauré après les effets dévastateurs de l'ouragan Michael. Nous espérons que vous apprécierez cette maison pittoresque et confortable autant que nous. Venez, détendez-vous, promenez-vous sur la plage, admirez un magnifique coucher de soleil, sortez avec les habitants et profitez des créations de Dieu à la Casa Amarillo.
La maison est située juste en face de la plage avec de belles vues sur l'océan. Les dauphins peuvent être repérés en train de nager depuis le porche grillagé ainsi que le magnifique coucher de soleil orange rouge. La maison est située dans la communauté de Beacon Hill, à environ 16 km à l'ouest du centre-ville de Port St Joe, en Floride, et à quelques pâtés de maisons de Mexico City Beach. Le parc commémoratif des anciens combattants et la plage publique sont littéralement juste à côté de notre maison et de l'accès à la plage.

Absolutely perfect!

The beach house is adorable! Gorgeous views, great enclosed porch, and the interior spaces are charming. Right across from the beach - it really is perfect. My family and I can’t wait to return and stay again!

nice and quiet getaway

The beach house was nice and quiet… we liked the outdoor porch area, it was nice. the overall area was super quiet and going to the beach was just a short walk, so it was good. There was no dishwasher but that’s okay! My family and I watched tv, played cards and we even used the outdoor grill.

Great stay!!

We visited on our trip around the entire coast of Flordia. We love the Gulf beaches and the quietness of this location was great for our family!! We visited a few local restaurants that were close by during our stay as well. The house was great, it had everything we needed and was very clean! The adults loved the front screened in porch and the kids enjoyed having the loft all to themselves!! The owner's were quick to reach out when we had a question prior to our arrival. The only regret we had was not asking our parents (children's grandparents) to join our family of 5 for our stay at this great location since we had the room for extra guests!!

Perfect vacation getaway for families.

The house was exactly as advertised. The walk to the beach was a short trip down the road and through a vacant lot. We enjoyed the screened in porch. The outdoor shower was handy for rinsing off the sand. Plenty of room to spread out. I loved that the house had been updated yet kept with the original details. Very convient to both Mexico Beach and Port St Joe.

Great Place!

Love the old house, it felt just like home. Plenty of room for two families, total of 8 people. Love the loft with all the twin beds, kids get their own sleeping space. Would recommend maybe sectionals for both sitting spaces. Like the sofas there but needed more seating room for visiting and tv watching.

2024 Spring Break

This is the cutest old beach house just across the street from the beach with a great view. I had 3 kids with me so the convenience of walking to the beach was awesome! My two older kids loved the upstairs area. This house is perfect for families. To make things better, the host is quick to answer any questions and very pleasant to deal with. I will try to book again in the future!

Highly Recommend

Our second stay here and enjoyed it just as much or more. Quiet neigborhood, short steps to the beach. Pictures posted at true to what you'll find. Can't beat the large screened in porch. Large dining table will seat 10 or more. Outside shower and hose (not pictured) is excellent. Beds are fine and to our liking. No there is no dishwasher but was definitely not a problem. Beds are advertised as queens. They are fulls!!! This made my stay less than pleasurable. No dishwasher but that wasn’t too bad. Huge table that took up a lot of space. Not sure if I’ll return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here! The view is amazing! The proximity to Veterans’ Park was perfect for our kids to play at the playground. The house is adorable and fit our family well. No issues! Thanks for sharing your cottage with us!

We, myself and five ladies, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your place. It was exactly as portrayed through your photos. Neighborhood was quiet. We spent all but one day on the beach which was an extremely easy access/short walk across the street. The real kicker for us was the large screened in sitting area outside facing the beach. Spent the rest of my/our time there. Only complaint I heard was "no wine glasses"? Not a problem though they even left a couple of wine/goblet glasses behind :) GREAT PLACE

Nice property for our family of four.

View of beach from the screened in porch, short walk to beach and a light crowd on the beach is what we were looking for and this property delivered. Also several public beach access points in the area with parking was key. Not a terrible drive to Port St Joe for groceries. Only downside was no dish washer, which I probably should have looked at closer in the amenity description. Would recommend bringing regular size paper plates (the Dollar General had appetizer sized ones only).

Perfect beach cottage

The house was even more cute in person. Lots of space and a very short walk across to the beach. Only a few others on our stretch of the beach even in busy season. There is a really nice enclosed outdoor shower that we loved in the back.

We loved our stay at the Casa Amarilla! Such a great location. Loved being able to walk right down to the beach. The kids loved the beds upstairs. We all enjoyed our relaxing time at the beach, spending quality time together.

Steps to the beach

What a peaceful stay! The house has clean and stocked with everything we needed. The host was super responsive, and the whole process was so easy. The beach is beautiful white sand, but the water is not the turquoise water of the gulf. Still, it was a nice stay for sure!

Summer in December 😎

Our family rented this house so we could be together and attend a beach wedding in Port St. Joe. We had 7 adults and had plenty of room for everyone. The upstair bedroom with the six full size twin beds were roomy and 5 adults had plenty of room. The upstairs bathroom was spacious too. We were blessed with very warm and dry weather so we spent most of our time on the screened in veranda with plenty of comfy seating and a view of the gulf. Our second favorite gathering place was at the unique and spacious dining room table where we shared all our meals. Everything was perfect for our group. Thank you for letting us stay at your place. The pictures on the website are accurate and we were all delighted by the property.

Our group had an excellent stay at Casa Amarilla and would definitely come back. The house was well stocked with kitchen ware and utensils and the walk to the beach was a breeze.

Quaint Cottage by the beach

Our stay was great. Our children loved the loft beds and having their own space. The screened in porch was great to sit and enjoy the weather and the breeze. We spent a lot of time playing Connect Four on the porch and connecting as a family. The beach was barely a drive up the road and we spent lots of time looking for shells and playing in the powder soft sand. There was also a pack n play for our infant, which was a nice surprise and much needed help for our infant. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will be back to Mexico Beach!

Wonderful, quiet place to relax and recharge.

We loved the house, especially the screened in porch! Just a short walk to the beach and the weather could not have been more perfect for us. The kids enjoyed seeing dolphins every day, and even a sting ray jumped out of the water one day. No jellyfish during our stay which was a big plus for the kids. Not crowded at all, very private. Would definitely make this a home/location we would visit again.

Perfect Serenity

Wonderful place to stay! Clean, easy access to the beach across the street. Very comfortable and not crowded at all! Beds are very comfortable and house has plenty of room for a family to stay together. We loved the long table where we could eat our meals, do our Bible studies and play cards! It was perfect!

Hello, I am so glad that you are considering staying at our family beach house. My name is Jim Draper and My wife is Diane. We have been married 40 years and we have always wanted to spend more time at the beach. We have traveled to cape sand blast in our RV before Hurricane Michael and were considering to purchase something even before the storm. After the storm We decided to help out the rebuilding of Mexico beach by purchasing this house that survived and completely renovating it.
I am 72 years old as well as my wife and we plan to enjoy the Gulf of Mexico for years to come together and kiss each other on the beach while the sun sets over the horizon with its red orange glow. We want to make this house available to you not because we have to but because we want you to enjoy Gods creation from our house on the beach.
We have a beautiful family that helped restore the house from the hurricane damage.
