Spring Fishing Advantage (May–June)
One of this property’s biggest advantages is spring rainbow trout fishing when the upper Kenai River is closed. From May 1 through early June, anglers can target spring rainbows in the slough and nearby waters while others wait for the opener. Come June, water levels rise and access improves—making this an ideal early-season destination.

Fall Trophy Season (Aug–Oct)
Fall is prime time. Kenai rainbow trout reach legendary sizes as salmon spawn, with aggressive feeding and fewer crowds. September offers the best combination of trophy trout, silver salmon, and stunning fall colors. October is ideal for experienced anglers targeting large fish near Skilak Lake.
