The house and the location are impressive. The view overlooking the coast at night is unbelievable. The rooms, the balcony -- everything is perfect.
On top of that, Alex is a fantastic host. Check-in and check-out process was as easy as could be. Alex also helped us out organizing trips and dinners, and went out of his way to return some forgotten property we left behind.
Could not recommend more highly, our time there was unforgettable.
Thank you Alex.
My family and I stayed here 4 years ago, not sure what took so long to write this review. This villa is very spacious with amazing views. The tile work is like an art show, each room has a special touch, you will enjoy the first floor bathroom with the amazing underwater life on every surface. We have travelled all over the world and this remains the top vacation rental because of the views and the wonderful times we enjoyed there. The town is full of friendly people that after the third day we felt part of the community. The location of this wonderful villa is quiet and close to all the must see sites like the spectacular Amalfi Coast! We will go back to the Carlotta and we highly recommend this villa.

Stayed with 2 families (8 total people). Everyone had a bed and there was plenty of room. The pictures are very accurate and the owner (Mr Alex) is a great and attentive host. He helped us with dinner reservations and transportation. Itâs a little remote which makes it quiet. I would recommend a hiring a local to serve as transportation during your stay. I communicated with Mr Alex all the way up to our trip and he helped arrange pick up from the Naples train station to the villa and back. As well as several day trips. I would love to go back if given the opportunity. We were the envy of our friends when we got back.
Our group of nine stayed in this house, located in Torca, for a week in July. This property is on the first two floors of a large hillside house, and has exclusive use of the large patio and swimming pool. It has a somewhat quirky character with beautifully hand-painted ceramic tiles in many rooms. The view of the sea and the coast is fantastic, and the pool is very refreshing during the summer heat. There were only a few minor issues, like one so-so functioning AC unit in one room, and an unevenly equipped kitchen. Driving around is a bit challenging, and best done with a smaller car. Cheap public bus service is available nearby. The very nice small town of Sant'Agata is less than two kilometers away. The area offers quite a variety of restaurants, shops, and gelato places. Very nice place for a large gathering.
with amazing views
Unfortunately there were several things that were unacceptable. The patio area was a mess and the swimming pool needed cleaning (we were told that this was going to happen but it didnât). We were probably the first visitors this year and the villa would have benefitted from a clean prior to our arrival. The area under and around the sink area was extremely dirty and unhygienic and all cutlery, crockery and utensils needed washing before use. There were insufficient towels and those that were available were very worn and in need of replacing. The beds felt damp and the bed linen in all but the main bedroom needs updating.
The noise level late at night and very early in the morning from the people in the top part of the villa was totally unacceptable. We certainly didnât realise that there would be people living in the top part of the villa.

Nice Villa with Beautiful Views
Our family group of 8 people stayed in the villa for 4 nights. The photos of the property are accurate - the rooms are spacious and the private pool was wonderful. We did not use the A/C but there is an additional electricity charge if you need it. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies and the wifi was good.
While the villa does have three full bathrooms, one is on the ground floor (no bedrooms on this level) and the other two are on the "first" floor (American second floor). One of the upstairs bathrooms is ensuite to the master bedroom. There are 4 bedrooms on the first floor and a futon in the living/TV room on the ground floor.
Alex provided detailed directions to reach the villa and met us a short distance away to guide us for the last mile. After entering the neighborhood through a locked gate, there is a parking space for two small cars. The villa is a convenient driving distance to Sorrento, Positano and a nearby beach, if you are ready for the experience of driving in Italy! There are many good local restaurants in nearby Sant'Agata. The view, pool, outdoor spaces and large interior rooms make this villa a good place for a group.
Alessandro is a wonderful host, helped us out a lot. The home is very spacious, stylish and clean with views and lots of light, but also full blockout shutters if you want to sleep late. Local businesses and restaurants were wonderful, too.
A lovely villa with spectacular views from the pool deck and delightful hand painted tile floors.
This villa includes an airy, open great room, cozy TV room, well equipped kitchen, large pool deck, and many unique decorative touches that made for a very special stay. It was large enough for six adults and young child to sleep comfortably. The pool and great room provided ample recreation space for our two and one-half year old grandson. And, the view of the the Amalfi Coast from the pool deck and terrace was lovely.
The villa is in a small quiet town with a short walk to a mini market and excellent restaurant. The owner graciously scheduled reasonably priced excursions with a driver that the family really liked. The peaceful setting of the villa was a welcome refuge from the Summer vacation crowds we saw in the larger nearby resort towns of Amalfi and Positano. We so enjoyed the villa and the relaxing atmosphere, several days of our stay we chose just to remain there, cook our own meals, and enjoy the pool and views.
My family and I had a wonderful holiday at Villa Carlotta. The Villa is beautifully decorated and furnished with a fantastic terrace and pool overlooking the sea. The area is mainly residential and quiet, especially in the evening. Because we had a small baby with us we cooked or barbecued most nights and ate on the terrace. We made good use of the pool, which was also idea for the baby.
There are small shops and a small supermarket within a 5 minute drive of the villa and Sorrento is about a 20 minute drive away.
Any problems that we had were quickly and efficiently dealt with by the owner and management team.
We would especially recommend the villa to families with small children.
Grazie Alessandro
This is really a lovely place to stay - beautifully painted and lots of space. The view is as good as anything on the Amalfi coast. The property is the lower two floors of a block but it's a quiet place, in a village just down the hill from the small town of Sant'Agata. Very convenient for Sorrento and the Roman sites near Vesuvius (visit these by train from Sorrento!). The village has a couple of good restaurants so you don't need to go far to get out.
Alex and Adele were extraordinarily helpful and kind - thank you so much to them.
You will be told not to try to bring a large MPV - take note of this as the approach is a narrow road with parked cars. We had a Ford Galaxy and we were OK but you won't get to the house with anything larger!
