Fall asleep to the summer songs of whip-poor-wills and the soft glow of evening fireflies at this beautiful home in the woods of Eastham. Enjoy truly unique craftsmanship, wonderful outdoor space in a serene Cape Cod setting, and an easy walk through the trees to the spectacular ocean bluffs.
This home sits on the edge of open space in Eastham, less than a mile through the woods to the bluffs and just over a mile to Nauset Light Beach. A short stroll up the road will bring you to the famed Cape Cod Rail Trail (half a mile) and access points to over 40 miles of trails through Cape Cod National Seashore.
Everything about this home is thoughtful and intentional, from its passive solar design to its American chestnut posts and beams - a heritage species that's now extinct - reclaimed from a 1790s farmhouse. As for the land, it's peaceful and scenic, frequented not only by whip-poor-wills in May and June but saw-whet owls come winter. Enjoy a fenced yard full of birdfeeders, a sun-splashed deck, and a patio and firepit for alfresco dinners at sunset.
The interior is something special, with details of natural wood and walls of glass showcasing your surroundings at every turn. The main floor brims with sunlight, bringing together a living room where you can read in the afternoons, an open kitchen with every essential (including a gas stove and a dishwasher), and a dining space that's perfect for summer dinners and card games. Just off the living area is a sunroom that doubles as a sleeping space with its own bathroom and access to the deck.
Two charming bedrooms await upstairs, each full of morning sunshine to help you greet the day. A private washer/dryer, complimentary WiFi, and a desk workspace in one of the bedrooms are provided as well.

There is central AC downstairs with oversize mini-splits upstairs.
The fireplace is not operational.
This home does not have a TV.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the âDamage Waiverâ). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
