All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We had a very enjoyable stay in this very quiet and serene cabin in the clouds. The name truly describes just where this cabin sits as the fog rolls in and out of the shoreline.

Do Not Come Here

Customer service was horrible. Called for help and nobody showed up to help fix the hot tub. Trash was full and bag outside.

Mixed Stay with Great Views and Comforts, but Significant Maintenance Issues

This cabin offers a beautiful view, a comfortable bed, and a very enjoyable hot tub, all enhanced by the convenience of an early check-in. However, the stay was significantly impacted by numerous maintenance and amenity issues. The bedroom ceiling fan made a horrible noise, and the vertical blinds consistently fell apart, leading to a lack of privacy. We also found the sliding doors hard to lock, which was a security concern. Inside, there was hardly any hot water, and the toilet kept breaking, and were only provided with one trash bag for a five-day stay, which was insufficient. Outdoors, we also noticed tons of spider webs the table was unusable due to missing tiles. While the positive aspects of the view, comfort, and hot tub were certainly appreciated, the number of maintenance issues detracted considerably from the overall experience.

Do Not Stay Here

Will not be coming to this cabin again. We tried to work the hot tub panel and it would not leave the screen that shows current temperature and we wanted to turn it up to use that night. We called Vacasa which was the host and they stated they would call us back. I called back a few hours later and they stated that a work ticket was never made because they assumed we hadn't held down the jets button to change it even though we told customer service that we did. They claimed they were making a ticket for it and we still never got a call and nobody ever came out the next day to fix the problem. Also the common courtesy do just do the bare minimum was not even present and talked to us as if they did not care. Also the cleanliness was terrible. When we first got here we noticed the trash outside was already full with a bag sitting outside of the can. The refrigerator had grease marks all over it. It looked like it came off of the side of a road with a "free" sign on it. There was a huge hole in the wall at the bottom of the staircase that looked like someone kicked it. The table on the balcony was missing plates on the table part so most of it was unusable. The only good thing was the view on the mountain so I would consider a different cabin with a different host other than Vacasa. They did not care at all.

Great Place

The cabin was perfect for a weekend/birthday getaway! House was clean and was in the perfect location. Oven kits were not provided which made using the oven difficult. The chain on the toilet came off frequently but that we could fix ourselves. Overall, awesome experience.

Some Good, some not-so-good

View of Whaleshead Beach is beautiful. Many cabin/condos up on the hill. Quiet community. Did NOT like (2) dirty area rugs and busted blinds (literally falling apart with some of the pieces in the cabinets, or completely missing from a couple windows). Ran out of hot water in shower quickly. There are NO markets or restaurants nearby (8 miles north of Brookings). Queen bed comfortable. Decor sub-par & very outdated. Best part was the serenity of the fog & clouds settling in among all the trees. Spectacular view.

Cabin in the Clouds

The view from our Cabin (Cabin in the Clouds) was outstanding. The cabin itself though- is just not rent-ready. Screens are broken so bugs got in, blinds are broken or missing so at night you're wide open to your neighbors. A water main in the park broke and we were out of water for an afternoon. Our fridge leaked water so we had to find a bucket to use to collect it all. All of these concerns were sent to our contacts with Vacasa and we received 0 assistance. The response we always get is "sorry for any inconvenience". I own a few rental properties and I'd have city inspectors and fines if I rented a unit in this condition. Some holes in the walls from something/someone falling down a steep set of stairs had compound thrown on and then never touched, it's just in rough shape all around.

Superb view and tub!

Cozy Cabin with a view

Stayed here with my husband and two boys and our dog. Beautiful view very simple it’s just what we needed. Only thing I would say needed improvement was new carpet but furniture and cabin itself was clean and didn’t smell. Renting where animals are allowed I sometimes find have a dirty smell to it or the furniture stinks. This definitely was NOT the case here. I would stay here again. Communication was seamless no issues there.

Needs some TLC

Morning shower no good 80 yr old nana first one in shower she was able to wet and put shampoo on then freezing cold water not good. Shades are mostly all broke. Quite small place. Hot excellent deck and view beautiful. Front sliding door won't lock with key had to use bedroom sliding door.
