We chose this property for our anniversary trip because it was advertised with conveniences like keyless entry, but unfortunately our experience was frustrating from the start.On arrival, the code provided for the guest packet was outdated, and the âkeyless entryâ keypad at the condo did not work at all. Instead, we had to rely on a single house keyâsomething that was never explained prior to arrival. During check-in, the door locked behind us while we were unloading, trapping our phones and key inside. We were only able to get back in thanks to a last-minute call from my Apple Watch before the office closed. Maintenance came out but never returned to fix the lock despite promising to do so. This meant the entire stay we had to deal with the inconvenience (and risk) of using one physical key instead of the advertised keyless system.Cleanliness was also far below expectations. The ceiling fans were covered in thick dust that fell onto the beds when turned on, the shower mat had visible mold and debris, the shower did not drain properly, and a kitchen drawer was literally held together with tape. We also discovered the hallway smoke detector had no batteriesâan unacceptable safety concern.I did contact the host with these issues. While she was polite, the response placed the blame on the property management company and did not result in any resolution during our stay. The lock issue, cleanliness problems, and misleading listing information were left unresolved.
