Showcasing vintage 1920s design, this delightful abode has been lovingly updated and maintained for 21st-century family comfort. Complete with a fenced backyard and picturesque front porch, this cozy cottage offers a convenient location within steps of Wilmington's Historic District and the Downtown Riverwalk. The Children's Museum is located right across the street, making this an ideal choice for families with young ones. The cottage is also listed as a stop on local historic home tours due to its status as one of the two remaining, $750 homes from the Sears & Roebuck catalog.

Start your morning with coffee on the front porch rocker and spend your afternoons enjoying the outdoors in the private, fully fenced backyard. Loved this place

This place is a perfect stay for me. Within walking distance to downtown and the river. The house was clean and comfortable with a lovely little backyard. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cottage on 2nd

It has been 20 years since staying in Wilmington! The down has grown and there was so much accessible right from the home. We were in town for a family wedding. We were central to all the festivities. Orange Street was having its arts festival and it was so fun to walk out, go shopping, take a walk or get coffee. Hidden grounds was our favorite. So many wonderful things to do.

Didn’t want to leave!

House was cozy, clean, and spacious! Within walking distance to everything! Word of caution though… send someone in to get parking passes in vehicle before you do anything else! Or you will get a 40 ticket. But rental agency has assisted with this if you get one. Awesome visit!

Definitely Recommend!

This was definitely a moment I will never forget, the home was freshly cleaned and air conditioned as soon as we got there! Definitely close to all the stores and restaurants. Totally recommend anyone to book this house!

Wedding Getaway

Our daughter was getting married at Bakery 105 so we wanted a place close by to avoid driving. This place ended up be ideal and right around the corner. It was an easy to walk to the Riverwalk and through historic downtown Wilmington. A bonus was the children's museum across the street for our three grandsons! Would definitely recommend this place!

Wilmington

We had a fabulous time in Wilmington. This historic house is perfectly located. The neighborhood was quiet and picturesque and sitting on the front porch gave us a great sense of peace and serenity. Yet in a very very short walk you could be in the heart of downtown with an abundance of shops, coffee shops and restaurants.

Half Iron Man Stay

We picked this spot since my husband was doing the half iron man race. So it was me and 3 young kids and we wanted space to be and hang out but also ease to get to downtown and the race and be able to watch without driving. The house was perfect! So accommodating and had everything we needed for our stay! The property was beautiful and we loved the porch for morning coffee and wine at night after the kids were asleep. It was a great spot and would definitely recommend it! Easy check-in and out too!

Just Perfect!

Wow. We had the best time this past weekend in your rental. It’s located so close to the Riverwalk where we took a boat ride and enjoyed dining at Elijah’s. The house was so clean, had all the amenities we needed and was so cozy. The owners really put a lot into their home and we absolutely loved it. We sat on the swing in front and watched the nicest neighbors go by. Our favorite was the horse drawn carriage tour we got to observe from the porch. There were books to read, games to play and my favorite coffee machine. We loved this older home full of charm and plan to return!

Location is great!

Really enjoyed the uniqueness of the house and its location. Only downside was the cleanliness because of the amount of dog hair and dust throughout the house. I understand being pet friendly but there is a certain level of upkeep that must be maintained and this was not done.
