RÉSERVATIONS POUR L'ÉTÉ !! VITE ET RESERVE !!

Notre maison au bord du lac, récemment rénové, est situé dans la belle communauté fermée de Bear Paw. Entouré par la forêt nationale de Nantahala, notre maison sur le lac Hiwassee offre des paysages spectaculaires, des équipements, et la tranquillité. Nous avons nommé notre maison 'Paradise sur le lac », car il est juste que. Quelques-uns de ces caractéristiques comprennent un étage principal qui est principalement planchers de bois franc et de tuiles, avec un plafond en bois dur de la cathédrale. La maison dispose de nombreuses fenêtres et portes-fenêtres qui donnent sur le lac et remplissent la maison avec la lumière.

L'étage principal dispose de deux chambres de maître roi, deux salles de bains, une salle à manger, une cuisine et un salon avec une cheminée à bois. Le niveau inférieur a une seconde salle de séjour avec une cheminée à gaz, deux chambres et une salle de bains. Chaque étage a sa propre grande terrasse offrant beaucoup d'espace pour le plaisir en plein air. Faites une promenade sur le pont inférieur pour le lac où vous pouvez amarrer votre bateau sur votre quai privé, ou nager, ou simplement vous détendre et profiter du paysage paisible.

Certains des équipements collectifs à Bear Paw comprennent des courts de tennis, piscine, terrains de basket, aire de jeux pour enfants et l'étang de pêche de l'enfant. Le centre communautaire offre de nombreuses activités, et de l'artisanat. Une entrée fermée sécurisé ajoute au sentiment de paix et de tranquillité. Si la navigation de plaisance et la pêche sont votre plus grand plaisir, il ya aussi un port de plaisance à service complet situé à Bear Paw où la possibilité de louer un bateau est à moins de cinq minutes.

BOTH the property and the furnishings need major attention!

I've never given a bad review but this home could be 5 star! First the good, the location is perfect, we've stayed in Bear Paw and this local area for years. We're used to steep driveways and deck stairs to the lake but this driveway is extremely narrow and steep and shared with the neighbor, 2 small cars or 1 suv can fit here. There is a 4ft opening in the retaining wall to the back door that's just wide open sloped ditch at least 60ft straight down. BE CAREFUL! The furnishings are old (20+ yrs best guess) and need replaced, the couches, chairs & beds are uncomfortable. The kitchen cabinets are cluttered with every useless dish and pan except for what you need like, a pizza cutter, tongs, steak knives, lids. The pans were rusted and flaking, the toaster oven covered in years of use, no pods for dishwasher, toilet paper, no extra sheets or blankets and the bath towels are rags. There are no lake or pool towels here so bring them or buy them in town. We didn't expect great wifi but only 1 tv "worked" . I have pictures and videos I wish I could upload. The carpet and rugs need replaced or a professional cleaning at best. I'm sorry, I wish I didn't sound so ungrateful. It was a lake house with family and we made it work, just totally disappointed.

Family vacation

For the most part our experience was positive. We enjoyed our stay on the lake in this rental and time with family. We didn’t have access to the pool for the first two days. We were told the key was in the kitchen when in fact it was nowhere in house. The home owner even knew this but failed to communicate it. The property advertised a hot tub but there was no hot tub. An excess of dishes and supplies in kitchen to the point of clutter.

Great Bear Paw Week.

2nd trip to Bear Paw for vacation but a different property than last summer. Nice house with three nice large king/queen bedrooms and one with three beds for the kids. House is nice but not so nice that your afraid to live in it and enjoy it. Nice kitchen with all the necessary equipment for cooking all of your meals. Dock is nice but a lot of steps to get there. Living and rec areas could accommodate all 10 who could sleep there. A great value for a house that can hold 10.

Relaxing Oasis

We loved staying at this relaxing find in Bear Paw. The host was more than accommodating and the property was well stocked with everything we needed. My family loved staying here. It was very clean and beautiful. Will definitely book again!

Great stay

other then some power problems not owners fault) we had a great stay. The owner was available whenever we needed. The house is beautiful and the lake is gorgeous. It is a ways to town but that is my only neg.

Breathe taking area, Beautiful home, plenty of room. Got snow and kids were able to make snowmen and have snowball fights. Great stay for everyone!!!

Perfect place to relax in beauty of nature

Great place for family to relax in beauty of natural, I highly recommend this place. The only thing I would recommend is to clean up a little around the dock. Overall, great experience. 👍

A great new find in Bear Paw

We have been going to Bear Paw since 2014. This was our first time to stay in this house (and our favorite to date) and first time to be “lakefront”. Being on the lake was worth the extra money. However, it was a good 60 stairs down to the lake. So, you’ll get your stair climbing in. But leaving my kayak on the dock was pretty nice. The house was as advertised. Spacious. Kitchen was sufficiently appointed. Loved the big dining table. Loved the downstairs living area. We hope to be back.

Already planning our next stay........

My family and I really enjoyed Bear Paw. There was plenty to keep the kids entertained. We fell in love with the house and its layout. All the kids had their own space down stairs. Plenty of room to separate yet plenty of things to do to spend quality time together. The over sized kitchen made cooking easy and FUN. Everyone got to help out. Mrs. Lisa was a gem in helping out with any questions and concerns we had. We rented a golf cart from Bruce, one of the homeowners near buy, and explored the mountains, marina and the bottom of the dam. The views were breath taking. It rained one day when we were there and the sound of water falling through the trees down the mountain side was so relaxing. The boys spent the majority of their down time at the lake and kept the gaurd on duty entertained. LoL We visited The Field of Woods, the Mining Museum in Ducktown, stop and ate at little BBQ restaurants and shopped the cutest shops in downtown Blue Ridge. Even made it to the "Blue Line". Thank you for sharing your home with us. We cant wait to go back.

Avoid this place

Pictures do not match the reality. The deck was covered in layers of black dust settled in for months. Needs a thorough pressure washing if not just the deck but the stairs and the entire outside of the house (molding walling). The basement, which has MOST of the bedrooms, had an awesome smell. There was a fan running to dry out the wet floors!! Upstairs was decent but ants where everywhere!! All solvable problems but seems that no one actually is taking care of the place. I would completely avoid this place till it’s cleaned. I can post pictures but it’s quiet sad I have to write a unhappy review for what’s supposed to be a nice place. The lady who owns the place is quiet lovely and super responsive.

Enjoy the view!

If you need to unwind and decompress this is better than described. There was six adults no two children and we had definitely room for more. The owner understates the view. Internet was on and off but that’s not really the reason you go to a cabin like this, is it? The neighbors at the pool were friendly and nice. The boat rental was fun and enjoyable at the marina so I definitely recommend an early booking. Bear Paw is absolutely wonderful! The porch is one screened in for nights and the top porch is great for an early morning coffee to relax and enjoy the view. I wish the cabin had more games for the kids and the canoe made me jealous tied up but if you have one bring it! Just a reminder: there is no internet until you get into the cabin so have all the rules and the entry code handy. Overall grateful to share this wonderful cabin.

2021 lake vacation

The house was great. What is not said is that you will need AWD or a Four wheel drive vehicle to get down the drive way. It is very slick and moss covered when wet. Also we did not have much luck with parking the jet skis and the boat at the club house which was a concern discussed with the home owner. The marina was very hesitant on letting us dock our boat and jet ski in a slip. We did have to pay for the boat slip to keep our trailers at the marina. The house advertises as a boating lake but does not accomodate for guest with boats or jet skis. There is very limited and tight parking at the house. Overall we made do with what it was and had to make many changes to accomodate the issues that arrised when we arrived on Saturday.

Parker Vacation

When we arrived Check- in was great, the guard on duty was very polite and had the info ready. The house was Beautiful plenty of room for the 8 of us and the kids loved the lake. Was kinda sad that the pool wasn't open until Thursday but we traveled to town and did a lot of walking, playing games and just spending quality time together. I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to visit again.

Peaceful spot on the lake

We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for family vacation. We enjoyed the lake and peacefulness of the location. We had everything we needed in the house, although groceries & restaurants are not close we were prepared for that and it was just what we were looking for.

Had a wonderful time

It is a little far from everything but that is what we were looking for. The house was wonderful. Clean and plenty of room for all of us. Spent a lot of time on the porches. The view was great. Everything we needed was supplied , kitchen was well stocked. Owner was wonderful to work with. We will definitely be going back.

Loved it!

Wonderful warm home steps away from the lake. Large, cozy house that has all the amenities a family needs to have a nice vacation. Two levels, allows for privacy upstairs and downstairs, nice deck, great view, surrounded by trees and beautiful nature. Lake is unspoiled with little development and blue-green water. Great for swimming, boating and fishing. Nearby marina provides for all boating and fishing needs. Property owner was very responsive and nice to deal with. Highly recommend!

Great family retreat!

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this home on Lake Hiwassee. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. Great fishing right from the dock! It is located just across from the marina where we were able to rent a boat a few of the days. There are also great hiking trails within 30 minutes of the Bear Paw community. The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Great Family Getaway!

What a great week we had as a family in this home. The location is out of the way (about 30 minutes to any stores in Murphy), but well worth it. The community was very nice with a great pool, basketball court under cover and a volleyball net. The view of the lake is amazing and the lake itself is even better. We rented a pontoon boat and had a great day on the water, which is really clean and warm despite being anywhere from 150' - 300' deep (according to the marina). The house accommodated 10 of us easily and had everything we needed to make it a special vacation. Would highly recommend!

Paradise is Here !

Our family was there for a week and everyday was an adventure ! The house had so much room and the lake was fabulous ! Also, the house was super duper clean and all the beds slept heavenly ! This was our second time and we are sure to go back ! Thank you Lisa !
