The location was absolutely amazing. The proximity to the park and downtown was an incredible perk. The cleanliness of the house was like something I have never seen. It is clear they take pride in their house.

Highly recommend this property! This home was beautiful and spotless, and Cliff was amazingly helpful in showing us the cabin to ensure we'd be comfortable there. (Cabin looked brand new!) The picture of the outdoor area doesn't do it justice. Such a beautiful setting to enjoy our morning beverages with wildlife all around! Added bonus: beds were very, very comfortable. Can't think of a single negative - would rent again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Cliff, for making a sad trip (double funeral) so much better by letting us stay in this wonderful cabin!

Gorgeous Cabin

It's hard to believe that a cabin looks even better than what the pictures represent. This is a gem of a place, just off 70. 2 bedroom/2 bath and a loft space overlooking the living room (where my friend and I did yoga every morning). Highly recommend this place and we hope to get back here as well.

Great cabin

Clean, well maintained cabin. Great communication. No issues. Only gave a 4 for location because it wasn’t as secluded as we would like but it’s still a good location right off the trails.

Well appointed and very clean!!! Good location! Enjoyed dining at some of the nearby supper clubs. We would definitely come back and stay again!!

Beautiful Cabin

This was our second time to stay at the Northwoods Trailside Getaway. This stay was as wonderful as the last. Cliff and Lanie have thought of everything you could need. From a fully stocked kitchen to the split wood that they have just waiting for you to start a fire in the fire pit.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

We stayed 3 nights and are planning on coming back next year and stay even longer, the kids loved the loft. We enjoyed all the amenities even tho our weekend was rainy at times we still had a great time in the cabin and enjoying the screen porch. The cabin was clean and we loved seeing the deer walk right by as well. Highly recommend anyone staying in the area to book this place!

Perfect Getaway

Conveniently located near everything Minocqua has to offer, this getaway cabin sparkles inside and out! Every room is spacious and beautifully appointed, with views to the outdoors where deer are almost always seen. Cliff and Lanie are the perfect hosts...hands off, but there if you need them. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay.

House is amazing

The property is gorgeous, pond out back is so pretty in the mornings and very peaceful. Landlord may contact you often and very early in the morning. He Lives close by and may stop by unannounced. We had another family staying in the area and they visited for lunch or a bonfire and we were informed after the stay that we could’ve been evicted. He will check on you if more than six people are there on the property, not staying over, just on the property, so be aware.

Awesome Northwoods Vacation Cabin

Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. The hosts were wonderful! The cabin had so many special welcoming touches. Saw deer out the window and made a snowman! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Recommend this place to anyone! 5 stars

Perfect family weekend getaway!

Stayed for a long weekend with my husband and 7yo son. Loved the close proximity to Minocqua - Trig’s grocery was 4 min away and perfect for picking up whatever we wanted to cook in the gorgeous kitchen that had all the utensils, pots and pans we needed! The cabin was immaculately clean and comfortable, and we loved looking out in the mornings to spot deer and turkey. Cliff kindly met us at the property to show us how everything worked and Lanie dropped off newspaper to start a fire after we mentioned interest in using the fire pit. They truly thought of everything to make us comfortable as guests! What a delightful place to spend a long weekend away from the city.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

This property was absolutely perfect for our 3 night stay. We were traveling with our 90 year old mother so the 1st floor bedroom with full size bath was great for her limited mobility. We had the upstairs bedroom/bath. Very comfortable bed. The loft area gave us plenty of extra room for luggage etc. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The dining & living room area was beautifully furnished and decorated. Gas fireplace added ambiance - easy to operate. Big screen tv and board games for entertainment. The area was easy to navigate for early morning walks. Plenty of deer and wildlife to watch right outside the windows. Nice firepit area and enclosed back porch area. Our host reached out a few days ahead of time to insure contact info was correct. He met us at the property when we arrived to go over the particulars of the property. Owners live minutes away and respond immediately to any correspondence. We will definitely be back!!!

Absolutely Beautiful Place

Pictures don't do this beautiful cabin justice. The owners have taken every detail into account in putting together this amazing retreat. Fully equipped kitchen made it so easy to whip up meals, stocked firewood so that an evening around the fire was the perfect end to the day, decor was perfect, beds were comfortable, parking was easy. It really was the perfect place for our little weekend getaway! Thanks so much for sharing with us.

Amazing Northwoods Experience

We were tremendously impressed with Northwoods Trailside Getaway. The owner met us upon arrival to give us a tour and provide vital information to make our stay enjoyable. The hosts left no stone unturned in providing the ultimate comfort in their property. We can't say enough about their attention to detail in making our stay wonderful. 5 stars to the hosts and their property!

Beautiful, spotless cabin, would recommend!

We spent a lovely week at this beautiful cabin. Everything was spotless. Everything there that we needed for our vacation. Enjoyed daily visits by does and fawns, once by two bucks, wild turkeys, chipmunk, black squirrels and a variety of birds including a woodpecker and hummingbird. Occasionally a few ducks on the pond. Spent time relaxing either in our hammocks or in the fantastic screened in porch. Cliff generously took a day out of his schedule to show us local UTV trails. Took in a lumberjack show, did some hiking, drank some local beer and generally just chilled! Lanie has tastefully decorated the cabin and carefully considered what a vacationer might need as well as keeping the cabin so clean I couldn't find any cobwebs or dust! The cabin is beside a fairly busy "rustic road" but plenty of off road parking for multiple vehicles and trailers in front of the cabin. We can just imagine how cosy this cabin will be in the winter too!

Perfect getaway

We stayed 3 weeks and from the time we entered till the time we left it was unbelievably the best time we have had up in Minaqua..the cabin was very clean and very comfortable. The screened in back porch was our favorite place to have coffee in the morning and watch the wildlife . Triplet fawns and mama passed through . It is close to Minaqua and excellent restaurants, or if you prefer to grill at home it comes with a very clean grill . The hosts are fantastic and super friendly, we consider Cliff and Lanie friends , and their dogs Mr Oliver, Ruby, and Marley. Miss you all.

My wife and I live in the area. We love all the Northwoods has to offer. Snowmobiling, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Motorcycling, ATV/UTV riding, bicycling and hanging out at the lake in the summer. We also just like to just sit back and relax, read a book, enjoy the scenery and wildlife or just sit by the campfire. We decided to build a cabin so others could also enjoy the Northwoods.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We are in a great location, 3.5 miles from town located on a private wooded 3 acres. Walking distance to the Minocqua Park Complex, casino 15 minutes away, Minocqua Winter Park 20 minutes away, a mile from the zoo, ATV/snowmobile from the front door and the Minocqua chain of lakes just minutes away. Plenty of specialty shops in town and a Walmart and grocery store 5 minutes away.
