Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The Beehive should be renamed The Litter Box

If you like the smell of cat urine, this is your next rental. Upon check-in, I noticed the smell and investigated. The living room rug was saturated with stains and there was feces underneath it. I promptly removed the rug and placed it outside and cleaned up the feces. I was thinking that would take care of the odor. Unfortunately, it did not. I was tired and it was already dark outside so I showered and went to bed. The next day I decided to just clean and ask for my cleaning fee refund. I had a 10 day rental and it was a holiday. It was also my birthday and I had lots of plans with family and friends so I persevered. The next day I bought supplies and thoroughly cleaned. I will not go into the detail but there was a lot of mold in the bathrooms and washing machine. The dishwasher smelled rotten. I cleaned thinking this is gross but I want to have a nice stay and my efforts would take care of the problem. There were also probably a hundred flies. I would imagine the renters before me left the doors open due to the smell because that is what I did. During the second night the cat urine odor came back so strong it burned my nose. What is going on?! After more investigating, I find that here are numerous stray cats living on and around this property. The neighbor feeds them every morning. At night the cats dual each other by spraying under and around the house. The cats came out of everywhere. I had my corgi with me; everything pet friendly in the area was booked until July 5. I was stuck either going home or waiting until July 5 to move to another place. I opted to check-out on July 5 and on that day I was told a refund was issued and would take 5-10 business days to reflect on my account. Today is August 1 and I have not received a refund. This experience was one of the worst in my life. I came home sick; literally smelling cat urine in my exhale. I will never rent again. Ever. Renter beware.

Nice place!

Loved the layout and the quiet location. We played in the lake a lot and ventured out to do lots of activities. Decorated cute!!

Lakefront retreat

We loved the big kitchen, lots of tables, chairs inside and out. We really loved the outdoor yard and patio space, the kayaks, and the quiet location on the lake.

This rental was a huge disappointment. It was very dirty. I spent half a day cleaning hoping that would resolve the issue. The smell persisted. Feral cats own this house. They slip under the deck living underneath the house. The rival cats spray the shrubs. Miserable. Torture. Im waiting for a refund.

Bee house was a sweet house!

Such a cute home with comfortable decor and well stocked kitchen. Great access to the lake and gas grill provided. We brought a float mat and tied to the dock. The kids had a blast hanging out in the water.

Beautiful lake front cottage

This is a charming lake cottage with lovely updates. The lake-front location with direct lake access makes this a perfect vacation spot for anyone wanting to kayak, paddleboard and swim. There are good amenities, and it’s a quiet spot. It’s a peaceful place to drop some kayaks and tour around the many cool homes around the lake. The cons: neighbors next door have at least 20 feral cats roaming around and the cat fights are loud and brutal. The property is not fenced so unless you have excellent recall training for your dogs, they’ll need to be leashed. The cats are too much of a temptation to chase. There is a lot of goose and dog poop in the yard. We did a round and cleaned up a grocery bag full of poo. There are no handrails on the decks and the stairs are narrow and steep so be cautious. If the property was fenced, we would rent this home again.

Overall great stay

Great views of the lake and kayaking was so fun. House overall is nice, unfortunately we couldn’t grill because propane tanks were empty and we didn’t want to pay to fill for just a weekend and some burgers. We had some issues with things not functioning- lamps in bedroom and living room and tv in master. We didn’t reach out to anyone since we were only there for two nights and were mostly outside so they might’ve fixed it. Close to a grocery store and hot springs amenities which is great.

The Pros:The house is cute, nicely updated, lake front with beautiful views. It was clean when we checked in. It has a well-stocked kitchen. Bedding/beds were decent, and plenty of towels. Access to the lake is super easy for kayaking/boating/swimming.The Cons: This would be a 5 Star review except for-Vacasa management is too corporate, disconnected, and not geared to quality customer service any more. When we checked in we realized that none of the lamps in the living room or the bedside table lamps worked. I reached out to Vacasa and received a message that local management would be in touch with us. 5 days later and we still had not heard from anyone. We bought lightbulbs, and the lamps still didn’t work. Checkout day we were under tornado/severe storm warnings. There was heavy lightening over the lake and torrential rain. We notified Vacasa that we would check-out when the storm danger passed. The local Vacasa rep told us to stay in place. The corporate rep sent a message that they saw no storm warnings and demanded we vacate at 10:00am or we would be considered trespassing. I sent screen shots of the weather service warnings. There are at least a dozen feral cats living around this property and the male Tomcats fight a lot. The yard is not fenced so if you’re traveling with dogs just beware.There is goose poop all over the lawn. I also cleaned up a lot of dog poop. The two exterior decks are in desperate need of handrails. The stairs are narrow and steep.

WE so loved the property and the location!!! It was absolutely perfect!!! The house was just beautiful and the lake view was just breathtaking! I do suggest that something be done about the neighbors cats! They are in and on everything. Pee smell by side door very strong. But needless to say our stay was perfect! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!!! We will make plans to return there again!

A nice place to stay in

We were supposed to be in another unit but due to a problem we got switched into the Beehive and it was great! I would definitely stay there again and I highly recommend this place. The morning view is just so astonishing! the place is clean and has everything you might need.

Beautiful home on the lake

While we had some issues with cleanliness in the kitchen, and shower heads that lacked water pressure, the home itself was quite comfortable. The kiddos loved the outdoor fun, kayaks, swimming, games, ducks, fishing (though nothing was caught), and turtles eating bait. The Wifi (because who can live without it these days) connected with no issues with good signal throughout the home. The location is really great, all the fun stuff in Hot Springs was quite easy to access.

Lovely view!

The Beehive is great! Nicely remodeled cottage on the lake. It’s light and open with room for everyone to spread out. The view of the lake is great. We would stay here again.
