We were inconvenienced most of our entire stay with the driveway blocked and other vehicles parked in our driveway Also big flies were annoying My son in law thinks maybe coming in through the chimney or one of LR windows up high
Great, cozy cabin that accommodated 7 of us very comfortably. Good kitchen, great fireplace. Convenient location for an easy drive into Gatlinburg, the Smokey Mountains, or Dollywood. Nestled into a quiet corner of the hills. Minimal noise. Steep, winding, but well-maintained roads to access the cabin. Would absolutely stay there again. Thank you!
The cabins were beautiful. The scenery is beautiful. There was enough space and I felt safe The entire time. Our pipes froze over because of the rare freeze current in the south but the staff provided us with a unit right next door for us to use the water. We enjoyed our vacation. Two tips, bring water with you (the stores nearby charge TOO much) and buy the firewood at the stores at the bottom of the mountain.
This was a nice place and accommodated our family well. We were not prepared for the crazy drive up the mountain though. We had a full size van and barely made it up and down the mountain because of the steep grade and hairpin turns.. We had to rent a second, smaller vehicle in order to make the drive. We saw bears in our yard almost every day so that was quite the thrill. Our grandkids loved it.
I am not the person who living reviews, but I really like this place. We were 7 people, 5 adults and 2 kids, we had plenty of room. Cabin was nice and clean with all necessary stuff . Also we had visitors on Thanksgiving Day, bears family came to the us, so we were enjoying them from the window of one bedroom.
Location also was good, close to Gatlinburg downtown, just one more thing make sure you can drive mountain roads, because for me was a little bit scary, but my husband and brother had really fun to drive there:)
I will definitely recommend this property to other.
Hopefully we will back next year again.
This place is awesome to stay for weekend but we couldn't stay there for one week. The place overall was very clean (cleaner than most vacation rentals I've had in the past) but we found a lot of drying black ants, even in the bed. They were slow and dying so it was obvous they had sprayed but the entrance point the ants use needs to be fixed. We saw no other bugs.
Two boys slept on the couch bed but unfortunately, we couldn't find the bed sheets for the couch, just a mattress cover that fit.
We wish we had known the road was very steep and narrow in places. Cabin really only had space for two smaller SUVS to park. The road was paved but still had several places where two cars couldn't drive at the same time.
The best part was watching 4 bear (mom with her 3 cubs) explore and play from the windows. It really is a good place that's well stocked but the ants in the bed was bothersome.
Very beautiful place! We had not been there an hour until a big black bear came visiting on our porch. The kids loved it as well as the adults. It then climbed down the tree and wondered off. If I had to find one thing wrong with the place, the bedrooms do not have enough light! There were 6 of us and it was perfect!
The chalet was clean, was warm for winter, had plenty of towels and kitchen was stocked with necessities. Having the phone number for the pizza place that delivered was perfect for the first night we were there. Location was very good. Not far from Gatlinburg or the Smoky Mountain National Park. The roads were well maintained on the mountain. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the chalet and would go back.
The stay overall was great the only bad thing was the hill in front of the chalet. Hard to back up to park facing down the hill to be easy to leave when dark, (not very bright on the side on house where front door is toward the back of house).
