Welcome to the bright and beautiful oceanfront Maalaea Kai. This top floor unit offers sweeping ocean and mountain views of Maalaea Bay and Haleakala. Enjoy a sunny morning coffee on your covered lanai and maybe even catch a glimpse of the humpback whales in the winter months! Here you will find everything you need to feel at home in paradise, surrounded by lush foliage, swaying palm trees, and the gentle Maui breezes.

This custom condo offers an open layout with wonderful airflow and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that bring the outside beauty in. Recently updated with new split air conditioning, fresh paint, and contemporary decor. Amenities include a heated pool, gas barbecues and laundry facilities in the building.

The Maalaea Kai complex is in the historic Maalaea Village on a street, just a short walk to the Ocean Center with the Aquarium and Planetarium. The nearby Sugar Beach is a favorite for walking and jogging. Maalaea’s central location is ideal for day trips to Lahaina or south to the beautiful Kihei, Wailea, and Makena.

Great Location

Wonderful, clean, relaxing location. Near everything, but not IN everything, so it was always good to go back where it was quiet. Great views. Enjoyed it very much.

Back to Maui

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay. We were very surprised at the comfort of the bed in the ocean side room. The room overall is nothing spectacular, but is plenty good and comfortable to get the job done, just don't expect frills.Being later in March we didn't see as much whale activity as past trips and also didn't notice too many turtles snacking on the rocks by the wall, just a few.We spent more time than ever in the pool and it was always nice and warm.We didn't bother with the grills or laundry this time & also didn't do much cooking in the unit. They had supplies, but the pans are dated and mostly all had burn marks/etc, but good enough for a few mornings of scrambled eggs.

Perfect area, million dollar view

Located at the harbor, in between Keihi and Lahaina, not much near by, a couple restaurants, a Carls Jr., but a quick drive to area beaches and dining. The views are great, sat on the lanai and watched humpback whales play in the bay. Beds are super comfy. We’re happy with the accommodations.

My daughter and I loved this property! The beach was only a short walk away and it was not at all crowded. We saw turtles in the water every day at the property and everyone we came in contact with was super helpful and friendly. We shall be back!

Ideal location

Had to extend my stay in Maui and this unit was available in the same complex. Unit is older and could use some updating. The entry had the first bedroom as you walked in and another door to the main part of the unit. The wind was blowing for my entire stay and you could hear it blowing through the front door so the extra door came in handy. Luckily, I was alone so nobody had to listen to the noise if they had to stay in the front bedroom. The stovetop didn’t work, ended up using the oven. I don’t care for the carpet throughout the unit, but it was clean. The Positive the place was clean, bathroom had shampoo and conditioner.

Skimpy on towels 1 towel per person for 6 days- must do laundry- not in the room- no condiments in fridge. Pocket door for primary bedroom is very difficult to close for privacy-

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been coming to Maui for over 30 years. It is always wonderful. This is my first time renting this unit. Overall, it is a nice unit. The carpet is quite dirty. Most units do not have carpet. Also, I missed not having a table and chairs on the lanai as I enjoy dining outside.
