Starfish | Awesome Views, Pool, Hot Tub, Fishing

Starfish is a newly remodeled, beachy themed, waterfront studio condo with breathtaking views. Enjoy stunning views of Aransas bay from the windows or relax on the patio with a glass of wine and take in the cooling bay breezes. This cozy studio has a king size bed and a queen size sleeper sofa. There is also a flat screen TV with Spectrum cable, WIFI, and small table with seating for two. Other amenities include a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo and a hair dryer. All towels and linens will be provided for your comfort, and guests will have access to a community washer/dryer that takes quarters. Guests of Starfish also get to enjoy the Laguna Reef swimming pool and hot tub that overlook Aransas Bay and the 1000 foot lighted fishing pier. There are also multiple grilling areas, beautiful grounds on the water, and a large parking lot. Starfish is located near the Rockport Heritage District and Rockport Beach. Spend a day in the sun at the Rockport Beach where you can rent jet skis, swim with the kids, or grill up some food at one of the picnic areas. The Rockport Beach also allows fishing and gives you the option to purchase a day pass or an annual pass. There are two piers at Rockport Beach, the south pier is free, and the north pier has a beach admission fee. There is also a boat ramp. We have a list of fishing guides on our site as well. Downtown Rockport is filled with shops and restaurants if you feel like a night out and some fresh seafood on the water. Check out a list of restaurants in Rockport on our site under activities and attractions. If you feel like shopping then you can grab a cup of coffee at the Daily Grind and walk along Austin Street and visit the shell shops and cute clothing boutiques. This is also a prime location for birding! Little Bay has many protected areas for birds that you can enjoy while walking along the water. Rockport is home to many historical sights and parks as well, including the Fulton Mansion, Goose Island State Park, and The Texas Maritime Museum. What a beautiful place, relaxing place to stay! My husband wanted to fish and that’s what we conveniently were able to do with a very long pier accessible for guests only right across the narrow street!!! Amenities were nice as well as our room. Perfect space for two people and a view of the water and pier!!!

Comfortable place and bed, nice pool and jacuzzi. Need to update listing since utensils, paper plates, and cooking items not available. I would have brought from home if i knew. Staff was able to give us paper plates and spoons.

Not impressed

The room is not what is represented. The toilet rocked side to side and front to back bad. You could get an eight second ride. There was lots of mold in the shower walls, real bad. The coffee pot was filthy. For the cost it was not worth it.

We had a great stay but my husband is a sports fan so having a TV that works - is important. The TV was out for two days we could not figure out how to fix it. We didn’t have time to call people to come into our room either. And then the toilet doesn’t flush very well. So you spend some of your time, trying to get the toilet down as well as using the plug. However, the bed was very comfortable, the view was outstanding, the location was beyond excellent and we would definitely stay again probably in a different room. Hopefully the toilet is better and the TV works. I feel like the TV and the toilet should be part of the deal so I should get some type of discount on the next one but you know how that goes.

The pier is a beautiful walk and great for views. The view from the room was amazing. Comfortable bed! The staff goes above and beyond. Five stars!

Hotel Suite not "Condo"

Great view and location, as advertised. However we did not realize this "condo" was within a hotel; it was more of a suite than a condo. There were no plastic utensils or paper plates - only hotel shampoo/conditioner, paper towels & ice bucket (for fish caught). Little extras besides what you get for a hotel suite would have been nice. Overall we were comfortable and enjoyed our time there.

We really enjoyed our stay and had no problems.

We really enjoyed our stay and had no problems. Check in and out was a breeze. I was there the first day and was already sending pics to family members for suggestions for our yearly family summer vacation place to stay. We enjoyed our stay and our room was perfect. If I was staying longer I would have chose a larger room with a kitchen but for the two nights this was perfect.
