Guests will enjoy a quiet walk through this nationally recognized community known for architectural delights, local shops & eateries. It is only a few minutes from Bishop Arts!!!! It's also close to the downtown Dallas museums & restaurants, beautiful city parks including the zoo, a variety of outdoor venues, & the best shopping malls in the state. This lovely home & the Oak Cliff neighborhood are both dog & kid friendly. Backyard is fully fenced in with an 8ft privacy fence.
We were in town for a mini vacay and the house was just like it was described and as it looked in the pictures. Our host was amazing! He answered all our questions and gave us recommendations for the area. He even brought a hair dryer by because I had forgot mine and - iykyk! All in all- if you are looking for a house to stay at, look no further! You wonât be disappointed!
We had a great time at this charming cottage! It perfectly blended historic charm with modern finishes, making it both cozy and updated. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable; we felt totally safe taking our dog out for walks. The location was a 10-12 min drive to the city. The Bishop Arts District was a 2 min drive away and they had lots of cute places to eat, some of which did offer outdoor, dog-friendly seating. The only minor concern was the backyard and while it is fenced in, it was a bit overgrown, which might be tricky if you have a small dog. That said, communication with the property manager was a 10/10. They were responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, I would definitely stay again, and I would recommend it to everyone!
The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Very pleased about that after a long day of travel. The layout inside was excellent for friends to stop by. The front porch is a perfect setting for late March. Communication with the host was among the best I have experienced. Cenzo's Pizza, just around the corner, should be advertised as a must stop.
The house was cute and comfortable, with plenty of room for our group. It was just what we needed for this stay. The host was responsive and helpful, even brought us kitchen towels and light bulbs on Christmas Eve.
I wish I could have seen this property at its peak. I walked in to a dirty house because the host thought VRBO closed his account. He tried, but it was a very stressful few days. My best friend and I were on the phone with VRBO for three hours because there was a tree laying down in the back of the property rendering the backyard unusable and unsafe. Contacting the host was almost impossible, but after we cleaned the entire house (there were pubic hairs on the floor, old sheets, and cobwebs in the bathrooms with used toilet paper in the toilet), we were able to rest at 8pm. We were waken every morning at 5:30am by the neighbors throwing logs into their trailer. The host did refund $206 of the $531 we paid (not half as he promised) after trying multiple times to contact him for check out instructions. We couldnât even take out the trash because he didnât give us trash bags! I didnât know if I was supposed to remove all the sheets, towels and such. It was a rally terrible stay and I felt like crying the entire time. The communication was terrible, the place was extremely dirty, and the amenities were not available (no grill and NO usable backyard). The floor was so creaky, every time one of us got up to use the rest room, it sounded as if there was an earthquake. I stayed the end of September, and the tree had been there over a month (I was sent a copy and past check in info AFTER I check in saying the tree fell a month ago). This was a nightmare!
Do not stay here!! It was filthy! Bugs everywhere, cockroaches scattering when you turn on the lights! Spoiled milk in the fridge along with more dead bugs! Not to mention, the main toilet was broken. We called the host (not available) then called VRBO to complain about the accommodations (along with with many pictures). They told us to leave the house Immediately. We left that evening (10pm) to find other accommodations in Dallas. Needless to stay it was very difficult and frustrating especially with two children! The one and only good thing about this ordeal was Catherine (property management). She was very nice and understanding. Phillip the host was absolutely worthless! Long story short... Stay away from this house!!
Great location for those who want to experience the Bishop Arts shops and restaurants. It was perfect for us while visiting family who lived nearby.
Very quiet, clean place for home base to reach almost any activity in Dallas.
The place was exactly as listed. It was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was great, very close to Bishop Arts District which was amazing for food and unique boutiques. Host was very responsive when contacted. Overall it was a great place to stay, we would not hesitate to stay here again.
Transitional historic neighborhood filled with mid-century modern bungalows, the host has honored the design and updated comfortably. It was especially nice having 2 bathrooms .
