The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Very pleased about that after a long day of travel. The layout inside was excellent for friends to stop by. The front porch is a perfect setting for late March. Communication with the host was among the best I have experienced. Cenzo's Pizza, just around the corner, should be advertised as a must stop.
The house was cute and comfortable, with plenty of room for our group. It was just what we needed for this stay. The host was responsive and helpful, even brought us kitchen towels and light bulbs on Christmas Eve.
Fun, bright, clean stay for our Family of four in a really great neighborhood!! We were able to bop over to the Bishop Arts District which is the cutest with lots of great food! Beds were comfy and rooms spacious! Kitchen could have used more supplies! Overall really wonderful spot, and the owners responded so quickly with anything we needed!
Transitional historic neighborhood filled with mid-century modern bungalows, the host has honored the design and updated comfortably. It was especially nice having 2 bathrooms .
This was probably the cleanest VRBO we have stayed at. The check in process was simple and Catherine was very easy to get a hold of. The listing does say there is a washer and dryer on the property but there is not. When I contacted the Catherine she was able to let us use another property to do laundry which was awesome, but this was a bit of an hassle. Other than that this was a very cute historic home with great spaces for our family of 4.
Nice bungalow in a neighborhood with lots of cute bungalows. Neighborhood is good for walking dogs. Property has a deck in a fully fenced backyard. Just be aware the garage apartment is occupied (as stated in the listing), and the garage apartment tenant access is via an exterior staircase within the fenced backyard. Not a problem, just need to know that. The house is fully furnished, has all needed kitchen appliances, including Kurig k-cup coffee machine and k-cups of multiple different coffee flavors. Has stacked washer/dryer and laundry detergent. Super comfy beds!
Property is close to Bishop Arts District with lots of good restaurants. Convenient location for getting to the museums downtown. We highly recommend the Perot Museum.
I wish I could have seen this property at its peak. I walked in to a dirty house because the host thought VRBO closed his account. He tried, but it was a very stressful few days. My best friend and I were on the phone with VRBO for three hours because there was a tree laying down in the back of the property rendering the backyard unusable and unsafe. Contacting the host was almost impossible, but after we cleaned the entire house (there were pubic hairs on the floor, old sheets, and cobwebs in the bathrooms with used toilet paper in the toilet), we were able to rest at 8pm. We were waken every morning at 5:30am by the neighbors throwing logs into their trailer. The host did refund $206 of the $531 we paid (not half as he promised) after trying multiple times to contact him for check out instructions. We couldnât even take out the trash because he didnât give us trash bags! I didnât know if I was supposed to remove all the sheets, towels and such. It was a rally terrible stay and I felt like crying the entire time. The communication was terrible, the place was extremely dirty, and the amenities were not available (no grill and NO usable backyard). The floor was so creaky, every time one of us got up to use the rest room, it sounded as if there was an earthquake. I stayed the end of September, and the tree had been there over a month (I was sent a copy and past check in info AFTER I check in saying the tree fell a month ago). This was a nightmare!
We were in town for a mini vacay and the house was just like it was described and as it looked in the pictures. Our host was amazing! He answered all our questions and gave us recommendations for the area. He even brought a hair dryer by because I had forgot mine and - iykyk! All in all- if you are looking for a house to stay at, look no further! You wonât be disappointed!
