Eagle's Nest Rawhide Unit 1 - Cozy Cabin off of main blvd
This is a studio style rustic cabin with an additional bedroom located on the main street Big Bear Blvd near popular attractions, such as The Village a mile away, and Snow Summit less than a mile away. This cabin features full wood logs as part of the architecture, cozy fireplace, and full equipped kitchen for a family stay!
The space From the curb the property may not seem all that appealing, but once you enter the driveway lined by pine trees, you'll find a little gem hidden behind those pine trees. Plenty of room for parking, and much privacy for couples.
Guest access The main cabin (originally the bed and breakfast building operated by the original owners) is not accessible to guest occupying this listing unless permission is given. A large selection of boardgames and DVDs are available in there, and you can request specific entertainment options from there to be used and then returned during your stay. You're welcome to use and enjoy any of the benches in and around the gardens on the property, and kindly share the barbecues :)
We love the cabin, cozy and quiet. It needs a lot of TLC and dusting, other than that we love it. Wished we stayed a little longer. We brought our own pillows and blanket, and our plates and spoons (which we always do when we travel).
Part of the porch is partitioned, problem with that is it is right next to a bedroom. We heard the workers talking and moving about in there it was already around 8:00 pm.We were up early so weâre trying to nap. There is also a annoying CONSTANT drip from the shower head. Mattresses are extremely hard and uncomfortable!!
Property overall was nice, cabin was weird dated but could be a 5 star place with a few adjustments. Layout is nice. Cleanliness was very poor. Dirt and more around all the bottom edges of the walls. Cobwebs everywhere.
Creepy posters behind the false window in the bedroom. Cramped shower!
Shower head needs to be adjusted so water does not leak all over the bathroom floor. Worst of all is the beds, old and hard as rocks! With a good deep cleanining, new adjustable shower head, a usable window in the bedroom and new mattresess and bedding, this could be a 5 star place!
Really cute and convenient little cabin :) The heater worked wonderfully, and we were nice and warm all night. They have a little fenced area for dogs to be let out. Pretty good for a quick stay while traveling with pets for the price!
I was meeting friends for a fun off road trip that was cut short. When I arrived to the cabin it was in the 30s and went to turn on the heat with no luck. Was forced to stay the night in a cold cabin. The next day I asked to have the heat fixed. A lady came over and couldn't fix the heating problem and I had to leave because I couldn't stay another night in a freezing cabin cutting my trip short. I asked for a refund for the night i couldn't stay with no answer back from Kim, the host. Poor customer service and wasted money for a night I couldn't stay because the cabin had no heat.
