Fantastic Home!

This house was ideal for our family of four. Tucked away in a gorgeous community, we were close enough to the many beaches to get their easily. Sandwich was a short drive away. The renovated home was clean, well kept and ideally outfitted for a comfortable stay. We would stay again.

Family vacation right after 2024 Fourth of July

Home was easily accessible from Rte 6a and how nice to know didn’t have to travel far once on Cape
. As well as when we had to leave Cape after check out. Close to Quaker Meeting House to get on Rte 6 as well as local Dennis beaches and marina/canal. House very open floor plan, in great shape and very comfortable. Added bonus basement finished family room. Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely neighborhood; good for long walks. Two full bathes of decent size. Highly recommend this rental.

Expectations based property description.

Dirty rugs, stained furniture, DIY ‘renovation’. No central air ( one split/resort wall unit in living area; nothing in 3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room or basement ). Basement ( only TV in house; watched Paris Olympics on iPad ) uninhabitable due to mold odor and 2 dehumidifiers not in operation upon our arrival and still didn’t help once plugged in. Property manager did put in 3 window units to accompany fans but moldy odor was impossible to escape
..despite burning candles. Expectation for cleaning and washing towels was sent via email 2 days before arrival and 24hours prior to checkout stating a forty dollar fee would be incurred if whomever felt more cleaning needed to be done. We had a 3 week stay and the cost of nightly stay does not justify being responsible for cleaning or washing towels. We were “reimbursed” ( not including full price, taxes and fees ) one night out of twenty one nights; insulting. Let me know if you want to see pictures.

Expectations based property description.

My husband and I chose this rental based on being ‘newly renovated, pet friendly, central AC and location.’ We stayed for 21 nights ( 414.00 plus taxes per night/ 10,477) and as requested, paid in full at least 2 months in advance to stay ( not a problem ). The first problem was there is no central air. One “resort/split” unit in living room for a 3 bed/2 bath with “finished basement” was insufficient and NOT central AC. Thankfully, Sand Dollar Realty put 3 AC window units in bedrooms. It was appreciated but loud with fans trying to cool the entire house. Purportedly, the owner’s of this property authorized a 400 refund (not 414.00 with taxes; thus one night) for the inconvenience of not having central AC for 21 nights despite my confirming that this property “ has central AC.” Again, insufficient given nightly rate and length of stay. The 2nd problem was the “newly renovated”. Aside from low end finishes and DIY quality ( I can’t imagine an electrical outlet in the bathroom closet, lack of vent hood or mold and mustiness in basement - completely unuseable space - or pot light cover resting on trim work of cabinetry would pass inspection ) the stained furniture and filthy rugs with odor was very unpleasant. Third problem was bathrooms; only window in primary had no screens so you couldn’t open the window and the windowless shared bath had an additional odor coming from tub and sink where the ‘fan’ was useless so mold was present on ceiling and in shower.I’m not done!

RELAXING STAY AT THE CAPE

We had a great stay at the property which is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood just off 6A in East Sandwich with the closest beach just a couple of miles away. Well appointed pantry and utensils. Grill was a real plus with outdoor seating. Washer/dryer/dishwasher/large fridge all were quite fine. AC unit worked great for main living area. Window units for the bedrooms would have made this an ideal getaway; it was quite warm for the Cape-mid 80's mostly-and the fans in the bedrooms really did not get the job done. Nice collection of reading material in the finished basement plus a well-sized smart TV. Management was very responsive when needed. Overall, a lovely home.
