The Haddie - Stunning studio steps from Plaza w/ free parking
The âHaddieâ is an upscale space thatâs fully accessible according to ADA standards. The unit is furnished with hand-selected mid-century modern furniture by local design firm Built Design, including Smeg refrigerator and coffee nook. The bathroom is fully tiled and stocked with fine towels and locally sourced bath supplies. The artwork is exceptional. Enjoy the smart TV and outdoor patio area.
Appreciated that I was able to book for just one night. Last stop after a week in Colorado, before driving home to Texas. We enjoyed everything about the Haddie. Great location with free parking. Top-notch AC, stylishly appointed, and very comfortable bed. Would stay again!
My husband and I drove in from Denver for a couple nightsâ getaway. The room and location were great - very easy to walk to the key sites around the plaza. We could hear the people staying in the unit next to us very easily, so that was the only drawback and likely canât be fixed.
Great bed, ac was cold as was the mini fridge. Comfy chairs for tv viewing after a day on the town. Walk to Plaza, many restaurants and galleries. We were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
The off-street parking was a big plus, as well as it's closeness to all the downtown shops and restaurants. The room however could use a few minor repairs and touch-ups. I thought the room would be a bit quieter too, but you could hear clearly the occupants of the room on the other side of the wall.
Fantastic property, wonderful outdoor sitting space, comfortable bed & pillows, free parking and you can walk to so many unique place. There's an electric kettle, a french press, a few dishes, and small fridge.
There were some small black beetles and a few ants. I found one ant in the electric kettle.
I needed to know how to turn down the volume on the TV and all I could find is a roku remote. I sent a message via VRBO and received no answer. I also called the number I was given and received a message that they were out and couldn't be reached after 6pm. This is so not the standard of communication I have previously received from VRBO hosts. It was frustrating.
Also there was a family staying in a unit next to me and I could hear their conversations. So there needs to be some insulating done. Glad I brought ear plugs for sleeping.
This was a perfect spot for us. Location is just far enough off the busy square to make it feel less touristy and crowded but close enough to travel on foot in any direction to sightsee, eat or drink. I would highly recommend this VRBO to a single or couple traveling to Santa Fe. Condo had all needed amenities: dishes, coffee, coffee maker and the small fridge was perfect for a few drinks and food items! No need to store heavy groceries! Eat out at the square-it is so close.
This is a neat, clean, safe lodging with convenient parking just steps from the plaza.
The owner was helpful and responsive to our inquiries. I would recommend this as an excellent place to stay.
Great place to hang your hat for the night, weekend or week
This property is exactly as advertised, within walking distance to almost everything the square, food, galleries and weekend festivities. If your looking to enjoy the culture of Santa Fe this is sweet
Nice clean place in a great location. We were on day 8 and 9 of a 16 day road trip. Couldnât find the laundry so emailed the host and got a reply right away. Bed was very comfortable. The refrigerator is VERY small with no freezer and no accommodation for ice. There is also no table, which makes computer work a little difficult. Parking is very convenient and the place is close to everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely recommend.
Great units but owner needs training in hospitality management
After letting the owner know that we'd be late checking in, we arrived to find the flooring in the unit so buckled that it created a 3" trip hazard and made the bathroom door impossible to close. We tried but couldn't get ahold of Denise or Mike. We managed that night putting tape on the floor as a visual warning and leaving lights on. The next day after having to send Mike photos of the floor, he moved us to another unit.
Then the next night, we came home from dinner to find the keypad to our room totally dead. Again we tried without success to get ahold of Mike both through VRBO and by texting him. We finally reached VRBO's live customer service. After they couldn't get ahold of Mike either, VRBO booked us into a hotel for the night.
Over an hour after we first tried to reach Mike, he messages that he's sorry he missed our call as he's on the east coast, doesn't know why the keypad won't work because the lock system shows that the door is online and working (inferring it's our fault) but he'll have someone check it in the morning. (!)
We found that we could access our old room (the floor was being fixed so as to no longer be a trip hazard) and were prepared to camp there rather than go to a hotel when finally Mike messages with a solution for us to get into the room with the dead keypad and we were fine for the night. The next day I messaged him that we'd like to stay in the room for a late checkout but never heard back from him.
These units are beautifully designed with many thoughtful touches and are in a great, quiet location. New places are bound to have kinks to work out. But the owner could use some training in customer service.
