The traffic on and off the Island on Saturday is much worse than on Sundays - this makes it much more pleasant to get here as you are starting your vacation and much easier to depart at the end of your stay.]

Note: not all LBI neighborhoods are the same. Our house is in a very bucolic and relaxing enclave that will captivate you. You can walk out the door in the evening and take 20 steps to see the sun set over the bay and walk down to the waters edge with your coffee and just have a long deep moment of piece. Then, since the island is only three blocks wide where the house is, you can walk two short blocks to the beach at 6AM and see the sunrise early the next morning. And it makes a great place for kids to bike around, too. This is a special little neighborhood that even we did not fully "get" when we purchased the house. We get it now! :).

Location - a nearly perfect location only about a 6 minute drive south of the causeway. Custard Hut is a five minute walk. There is a fantastic upscale convenience store one block from the house that makes hot breakfast sandwiches in the morning, and has great bagels. Drive four minutes south to get to the only real supermarket on the Island (ACME). 4 more minutes past that at you are in Beach Haven and Bay Village with all the shops, stores, restaurants, fudge places, ice cream parlors, plus Fantasy Island Amusement Park, and Thundering Surf waterpark. Several mini golf courses are close too. And if you need to go to CVS for suntan lotion, or any sundries, thats just five minutes north at the causeway (and Dunkin, and WaWa which also has great sandwiches and great coffee). And yet, where the house is, is peaceful and quiet.

(note: no bay access for swimming at the Yacht Club unless you are a member. But there is a little public bay beach a few blocks south - but the ocean beach is closer )

We put a lot of careful attention into our beach house to make it fun, relaxing and reliable. We hope our guests will love it as much as we do.
