When you're ready to wind down, guests will have a choice between an enclosed bedroom and the cabin-style loft bedroom. This home is ready to host your adventure!

Arrive before dark the first night!

We had a very hard time finding the location in the dark. GPS does not recognize the address and sent us on several wild goose chases. Roads are numbered strangely. An alternate address in the listing sent us to a motel. Once we found it, we had a reasonably comfortable stay - comfy bed and very quiet - but the A/C didn’t kick in until the second night, pans were old, no dishrags, recliner has a blanket over it to cover a gross dirty area, basement couch is broken, etc. Directions to take our garbage with us were very annoying since we were leaving for the airport. Dining room light only came on once. Dirty blanket in the closet. Dishwasher is wonky to load and close, and the directions say that it shuts off if you run water elsewhere. Deck is dangerous. Directions said not to use their firewood. No fires allowed anyway - but it just sounded very unwelcoming. All things that the owners could fix to make this a very nice place to stay.

Be ready to pack it in and go pay at grand lake to throw it at a town dumpster.

I love the pace and tranquility of this mountain house, i really recommend waking up early and drink a hot coffee on house patio you will fall in love with the mountain sounds.

A Tale of 2 Experiences!

This mountain cabin is in a good location. It has some very nice views. The Cabin itself was mostly nice and comfortable to stay in. The kitchen was nice and the two full bathrooms looked good and were nice to be in. We knew before we got there that part of the deck was dangerous to walk on and the front railing was loose. We knew that we could not use the downstairs sofa as a pull out bed because it was not working. We also knew that the main floor shower did not have much water pressure, but could still be used. So, we were okay with those things and simply made the best of the situation. One thing, however, we did not know is that there was no closet space available in the upstairs bedroom because the large closets there were locked from anyone having access to them. So anyone sleeping in the upstairs loft bedroom, or on the main floor pull out sofa, will all have to go to the downstairs bedroom to have any access a closet where you can hang your clothes. The two of us who stayed there did not like that, but again we made the most of it. The kitchen was very nice, but had only one pan that was clean to cook in, and the other pan and pot looked old and dirty. So, if we go there again in the future, and we might, we will probably bring one of our own pans as well. The only other issue we had with our stay there, was the many weeds and prickly thistles that surrounded the cabin that took away from its beautiful mountain view. And finally, if it was our cabin, we would clearly put better and cleaner living room chairs in the cabin. Yet, in spite of all the issues I have described, if some corrective maintenance occurs on this property, we would love to come back.

Not up to potential!

At first look this is a beautiful house in a location that is convenient to Grand Lake, Granby and RMNP in a quiet neighborhood. The house is nice, and was well cleaned, except for the cob-webs high on the walls and ceilings. T There are many areas that need attention to make this a comfortable six person rental. First, the pull-out sofa is not good for use as a couch or a bed so that makes this only a four-person capacity. The main floor bathroom looked very nice, but had such poor water pressure that we had to use the basement shower. The downstairs tub spout could not be used to fill the tub. The deck was unsafe and unusable. It appears that they are trying to cover up rotten boards and exposed nails with a large outdoor rug. When I started to walk onto the front deck the boards sagged under my feet and it is unsafe to use. It appeared that there was no control over the heating temperature. Heat came on in the evening and ran most of the night. Also not noted in the listing is there is no trash service and they expect the renters to remove their own trash and take it with them or pay in town to dispose of it with pre-paid bags that you have to purchase at local stores. Light bulb was out in the downstairs bathroom. The TV remote didn’t work and there was no cable service. The internet was good enough for us to watch TV on our laptop. In its current condition we cannot recommend this house for more than a two-person rental even though it has good potential.

Lovely home

The place does not have cable as advertised. To watch tv, bring your passwords for streaming service or your "stick." There was plenty of space for the two of us in this 2000 square foot home. It looks interior looks professionally decorated and the pictures are accurate. Paint and carpet look brand new. No TLC required here! The owners are working on the deck. The temp fix they have implemented worked for us.

False advertising

Deck was unsafe and unusable. Water pressure was so low the upstairs shower could not be used at all. Owners are aware of these issues based on messages posted inside the home but are not in the listing. Also you will have to take away your own trash. Many things in disrepair. Broken sink downstairs is unusable. Also bath spout does not work so tub must be filled with shower head for a bath. Lightbulbs were out throughout the property with no replacements in stock. Decor is cute cabin kitsch on the main floor but sparsely decorated elsewhere with no decor at all in bedroom or loft. Main bedroom is in the basement. Hide-abed in basement was broken and could not be used as a couch or a bed. This eliminates sleeping place for two and this property only sleeps four. Also means there is nowhere to sit if you want to watch any of the many DVDs on the shelf. Front door lock was broken and had to be replaced during our stay (thank you Vacasa mgmt and maintenance). Plenty of towels, sheets, and blankets available. Kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, and dining ware of decent quality. Location is ideal for privacy and quiet. About a 10 minute drive from Grand Lake with a beautiful walking path nearby. If everything were repaired this could be a 5 star review.

Corners Cut

Excellent location to surrounding Grand Lake and RMNP. Beautiful grounds full of aspen and fir trees. Quiet end of road. Interior neat, clean and fresh; linens were immaculate. Housekeeping missed a few pieces - instruction note book not found until second day, sofa bed awkwardly pulled out, unmade. Appliances up to date. Leather recliners were heavenly. Appears owners cut corners on essentials and exterior construction. Initial guest essentials of paper towel roll, Kleenex, trash liners were not provided. Lower bathroom air vent barely hanging to ceiling. Deck sides wobbly, deck floor and stairs to entrance are concerning. In current state, residence should not be in service until construction issues are addressed.

Getaway!

This is Avery comfortable and well equipped home! Perfect for a couple’s getaway or family fun. Secluded mountain setting complete with moose! Yet close enough to lakes, hikes and town. Perfect getaway - hope to return soon!

Cozy home

This was such a spacious and cozy home. It was my boyfriend and I staying and we loved how we were near the lake. We also loved how clean and spacious the house was. It felt so homey and we would definitely recommend staying there. It was easy to find and check in.

Such a great place!

Excellent and comfortable house in a beautiful location! The house had everything we needed. Beds were a little firm for our liking but still comfy. Its close to the National Park and all of the surrounding towns and the views to get anywhere make the drive worth it.

A great way to disconnect!

Everything advertised about this home is completely accurate...and pleasantly so! It was so nice to be in the middle of all the trees and beautiful views right off the driveway. Well stocked, comfortable couches and beds. Books and games were fun to explore as well. Very close to the lake to take an enjoyable walk. Will definitely be back!

Great location

House was just as described! The location is nice and secluded yet close to everything the area has to offer. Possibly the only thing missing is some kitchen towels and maybe put in the description of the stay that you’ll need to haul your own trash off. Great stay none the less.

Awesome stay

We absolutely loved this cabin. Very quiet and secluded with a beautiful view of the mountains. The cabin was very clean and comfortable for our party of 3. We would definitely rent this cabin again.
