What a tremendous location, walking distance to everything in town, and right outside of the national park. Cabin had everything we needed. Would 100% recommend.
Had an awesome stay at this cute, little cottage. We spent most of our time in RMNP and this was a perfect home base. It's very close to the park so early starts before the 9 am when entry permits are required was easy. Close to the market and dining options in town.
This place is perfect if you are an outdoors lover. The cabin is great for overnights and the basics. Very close to Rocky Mountain National Park with access to many trails. Owner is very responsive.
Beautiful place and location. Perfect size for a couple but there were plenty of visitors in the log book that had a great time with more than two people. Gorgeous views definitely walkable to town and restaurants though the hill up to the property may be challenging for some. This was perfect for our ten year anniversary trip. Thanks for having us!
Property was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and so close to downtown. Janet, the host, was lightning fast with responses and an absolute joy to work with. I will definitely stay here again â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Iâve been coming to Grand Lake for 20 years. This place offers nice ambiance and a good place to sleep. Itâs just a short walk to town (a couple blocks). Itâs really a perfect setting to get away from the town. Very quiet at night with lots of stars in the sky. This was a nice place to stay with 2 smaller kids and a couple.
We had a terrific visit to Grand Lake, and it started months earlier when we made our reservation with host. She was very quick to reply to our questions and helpful as weâd never been to the area. She was communicative in the months leading up to the stay and throughout as well. Our kids (6, 8) absolutely loved playing just outside the cabin, and it allowed mom and dad to relax and read or rest. The town is darling! We canoed, swam, and attended a show at the Rep - highly recommend! Pay attention to the size, as it is cozy! We are fine because our kids are young, and we spent most of the time outside; however, as our kids grow, we may need a bigger space. Only other comment was the odor upon entering, but checked with owner who said it was normal. You get used to it, and youâll have your windows open most likely anyway as there is no AC. Great experience and definitely plan to revisit Grand Lake. Enjoy your time in the cozy cabin!
The Cozy Cabin was a good home base for our activities throughout Grand County. We enjoyed hiking, wildflower hunting and were close to activities at the YMCA at Snow Mountain and Winter Park Resort. A moose greeted us in the front yard one afternoon. In the burned out areas of Rocky Mountain National Park, we saw huge herds of elk and at least 9 moose. Grand Lake is a great place to visit. We especially enjoyed the Blue Water Bakery and the Sagebrush BBQ and Grill.
Excellent amenities, perfect for all of our needs, clean and well kept. Great space and very close to town. The property manager communicated efficiently and quickly with all the necessary information. Our stay was lovely and we really enjoyed ourselves! Highly recommended.
Property is generally great! Nicely furnished, great location. Property was double-booked somehow on one of our nights, but I think that was VRBO's fault, not the owner. Owner was great with communication and a prompt refund of the night we didn't end up getting. Property has TVs (with Roku), but no internet, cable, or broadcast connectivity. TV in bedroom is totally useless because of that (we didn't really care; there to fish and hike, not watch TV, but still kinda weird). Biggest issue by far was the cleaning. Dishes were put away totally dirty, had to wash all dishes, silverware and cups before we used them. Bathroom was not clean at all (hair in shower and sink, mold in shower). Rugs were dirty and un-vacuumed and wood floor had lots of visible dirt and had clearly not been washed recently. Couch had old food on it. Sheets were clean, but mattress was just 3 inch memory foam on a box spring.
Perfect size cabin for a couple. Cabin was clean with all basic items. Shower is small but usable. Short walk or quick drive to city shops. Close to several trailheads. Deer come right up to cabin along with chipmunks and magpies. We thoroughly enjoyed are stay and would use again!
This cabin suited our needs. It is near town which was convenient. There were other cabins nearby but the location still felt somewhat isolated - which was a good thing. You didn't feel like your neighbor could look in your window. It is very, very small with low ceilings. Perfect for a couple but a family of three or four might feel cramped if they were to spend a lot of time inside. We were out doing things most of the week so the size did not bother us much.
We have been in the staffing business since 1996 and have always bought real estate for investments. We ventured into the vacation rental business in 2011 and have over 15 destination properties throughout the US. We love rehabbing and staging and totally transforming unique properties! It has become a passion for us!
We love Grand Lake! We bought our very first vacation rental here in 2011. We fell in love with this little cabin that is convenient to downtown and just had to add it to our rental portfolio! The views are breathtaking and no matter what season you visit Grand Lake it's an adventure!
