Perfect place to stay! Super cute and spacious place with everything needed for a stay. The views from the balcony are beautiful. Communication with host was easy and fast.
We absolutely loved everything, the balcony with our ocean view was amazing!! The room was also amazing had everything we needed !! Will definitely book again!!!
My family have stayed at marlin key for a few years. We enjoy the view from balcony. Love having 3 bathrooms. Living room and kitchen very spacious. Love thatâs it is only 4 floors not a big high rise.
The first thing we noticed was how clean the unit was, and then we were mesmerized by the view. We vacation in Orange Beach almost every year, but this was our first time to stay here. The condo is very large and everyone appreciated a bath for each bedroom. The owners provided a well-stocked kitchen and everything needed for our stay. We loved this low density building and the time spent here. We definitely would stay here again.
Plenty of amenities and very clean. Thanks for affording my family the time to get away and unplug for a couple of days without worrying about the place we were staying.
Our stay was beyond awful but we felt our safety and wellness was put at risk and Vacasa and the owner did not care. The dyer was broke and made a very loud high pitched knocking noise and it was reported 7 days prior to our stay and was NOT addressed. They should have never rented it until it was replaced but did anyway and it caused us great distress and we feel our safety was at risk. We called day one and were told it would be maintenanced in a timely manner and marked urgent and we would be contacted and it never happened. We called every day were told lies and the last day 6 Maintenance came and said it was not only broke but a possible fire and burning hazard and unhooked it and moved it away from wall and told us not to touch it. Horrible stay, horrible treatment and Vacasa or the owner not only did nothing about it but did NOT compensate us for the safety issue, broken amenities and our distress nor did they offer a different unit to stay in. Ine if my children is profoundly Autistic and the noise of the dryer caused great distress to him. Again, Vacasa showed no care about our special needs child either. AWFUL experience and complacency and neglect and incompetence are the words to describe who we did business with during our stay and they took zero accountability.
We loved being in a building with fewer units. No fighting over parking or the elevator. This condo has so much room and nicely furnished. The ground and pool were immaculate. We will definately stay here again!
It was wonderful! Gorgeous beach. Condo was awesome. Roomy and the corner balcony was the best. Well stocked. So many restaurants within 10 minutes. Shelleyâs Beach Rentals set up on the beach. We rented chairs with umbrellas. Everything about this vacation was perfect.
Definitely on our fave list.
Lovely place to stay with our family. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. Multiple hoses to rinse the sand off. Parking was questionable- to be clear- you have 2 spots allocated to you, 1 under the condos and 1 out in the parking lot. Necessary to know because the regulars can get rude about it. Overall, would definitely stay here again.
Enjoyed my stay at Marlin Key. The condo was clean. I think there should have been TV guide or instructions on which remote to use. There were 4 remotes in living room and I wasn't able to use the bedroom TV. I would stay there again.
The positives: the gated entry at Marlin Key was nice and the dedicated covered parking was much appreciated. The location was excellent, near everything. The negatives: we were surprised that there were no restrooms in the pool area. It was pretty inconvenient to go back to the unit from the beach if anyone needed to use the restroom during the day. We were also surprised that the boardwalk from the pool area to the beach pictured in the listing no longer exists. The extra walking in the sand with beach "stuff" was harder on the older folks in our party. The wifi was very unstable and dropped out completely for a couple of days making it impossible to get anything done on the internet. Finally, some of the decor had obviously been changed since the photos in the listing were posted. Newer photos should be posted to accurately show how the unit is furnished. For the reasons listed the best rating I would give Marlin Key 2G is 3 stars.
This unit could use some updates. The couch is sagging in the middle, but the mattress on the pull out was good. There are areas on the cabinets that there was tape holding it together and chipping. That did not bother me as much as the smell in the freezer. It was awful. The ice machine does not work at the bar and we could not use the ice in the freezer due to the seafood smell. The broom only had 1/3 of the bristles left so we could not sweep the floors. This place is a great location. Beautiful view and right on the beach. The rest of the condo was good. Our beds were comfortable. They just need to fix a few things and this would be a great condo.
2G was as clean as it could be but a lot of items in the condo need to be repaired or replaced. The sofa sank towards the middle & was dirty. The chairs & throw pillows were also dirty. The door on the fridge had pieces missing & was discolored. Parts of the cabinet doors & drawers were peeled off & covered with clear packing tape. We had to call for maintenance three times because the air conditioner wasnât cooling.
I always enjoy the Marlin Key and Dolphin Key properties. There is lots of room for everyone and you canât beat the convenience of the beach access. This is my first visit to this unit, but I have others to compare it to.
The unit itself can use some sprucing up. Lower cabinets and island in the kitchen need repair, as does the cabinet under the bar. There is mold/mildew from it being wet.
The sofa and ALL throw pillows in the unit need to be replaced. They smell and the sofa has a huge dip in it. The shower curtain in the front bathroom needs repair as well. It is hanging on by just 3 hooks.
Again, I always enjoy staying on the property, however, this unit could use some repair and a good deep cleaning.
