This unit checked all the boxes. It also had a side window view of maalaea harbor. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice area. Wish the condo had provided a broom because no matter how hard you tried, there was no way to keep the sand off the floors. A bit outdated decor wise, but still comfortable. Fairly central location to most things also. We had a great time.

Maui Vacation

Loved the location. Wanted to be right on the water to hear the ocean. This place did not disappoint. The condo itself is outdated. Could use a facelift. We had to clean up the lanai. Table was dirtied and ledges had bird droppings. All in all we enjoyed our week in Maui and look forward to returning one day.

LOTS of mosquitos on the balcony. I’m not sure if this place is worth the money. I feel it could use some updates on the inside and outside. Love that they gave you a small cooler bag with snacks! The kitchen has everything you need!

Vrbo yes-Vacasa no

Vrbo has always been great. Vacasa was worthless. No one could help me check in and their after hours emergency help number was disconnected and out of service. I’m speechless.

Additionally, we advise guests to access our Trip Manager portal, which is provided upon booking, as it has extensive information about travel, accessing the home, communicating parking, telephone numbers, and amenities. Wonderful stay in 335!

The view of the beach was absolutely breathtaking and our condo was perfect for us. It was clean and had everything we needed. Just the right amount of space, and the resort itself is in a great location. We never had to drive too long to get anywhere we needed. The AC in the living room worked really well, but even with the ceiling fan going in the bedroom, the rest of the condo was uncomfortably warm at times. That was the only downside and everything else was wonderful. :) All in all, our stay was amazing and it was way more difficult to leave than I was expecting. We hope to visit again in the future!!

Mixed Feelings

We have mixed feelings about this unit. We experienced major plumbing issues on our day. While the issues were addressed courteously and professionally, we lost the better part of the day waiting on a plumber. Also, it was hard to believe that no one before us had brought the situation to the attention of Vacasa. It was that bad. The unit itself is a bit dated, but well equiped and comfortable. The location on Sugar Beach is spectacular. The resort is well-maintained. Overall, this unit might not be our first choice for a return visit, but we would stay here again. Three and one-half stars.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback with us, Paul. We sincerely apologize for the issues you had with the plumbing during your stay. Our Maintenance tech first went in and assessed the situation; he was able to snake the line until he could go no further, unfortunately. He recommended having a plumber who has the right tools to unclog the drain. We then sent a plumber but did not have an ETA. During this time we've just experienced a lot of rain and unfortunately, this wasn't the only unit with plumbing issues. We thank you for your patience and cooperation and we hope we can have another chance to host you for a much more enjoyable stay.

Sugarbeach #335

We truly like the location of this condo in Sugarbeach Resort, but it definitely needs some updating and repairs which were suppose to be done after our stay in spring 2022. They had to put in a new vault, because the previous one was causing concerns of not opening when we required keys, money, jewelry and return tickets to home. The fridge was not replaced as it was old and a shelf was ripped off and reported in spring. I finally went to the hardware store and got white duct tape and repaired it so could use it better. The fridge still needs a more modern look along with the lamps and lighting which has it own concerns. We returned one day to have our kitchen taken apart, management and two plumbers, had the cabinet and microwave taken out looking for a leak, which was unit 435 bathroom sink cracked and was emptying into unit 135 , through the walls of 335 and 235. The owners of unit 335 really need to update and do some major repairs, as more folks won’t be happy with this great location, but some disappointing items not kept up to todays standards. We probably won’t be staying here again, and we have heard from many other renters that they love Sugarbeach location, but are not happy with Vacasa and how they have put all the extra fees on the cost of their units. We are reviewing a number of owners renting their units, as well as other management agencies who don’t charge as much and have more modern units for rentals. We still love Sugarbeach and have been coming since 1988. But it is time to re-evaluate which units are better maintained.

Enjoyed this condo and location!

The condo is little old, but clean and ocean views were the best! We got a great welcome gift with snacks, other goodies and a cute Hawaiian little lunch bag. Kitchen had everything we needed, so it’s great. I liked that we had extra garbage bags, dishwasher tablets and washer detergent to last us ten days. Usually in other places you have to buy those right away. We also liked the beach stuff they had, no need to buy that and spend extra $. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, we took walks and runs on the beach pretty much every day. We didn’t swim though cause the water was not clean. Some people did swim though. Nice pool, we had great time there as well. There are grills and eating area where we enjoyed burgers we made. Great area to get around, Safeway only 6 min away, Costco around 21, other needed stores too. Thankful for this place and the memories we made there!

Loved it!

The room was clean, had a nice balcony. It had everything we needed for our short stay. The pool and hot tub were nice and very close to beach access and the sounds of the waves from inside of the condo was great. View was beautiful!

How you could improve.......

The condo could have been much more spotless, The bathroom cabinets and floor baseboards were not very clean. We wish the spread on the bed would have had sheet coverlet to seem sanitary. Also it would have been so nice to have at least foil, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. Also we arrived from airport at 1:00 and had to wait until 4:00 to get in. No one would keep our bags, grounds had no where to sit. We felt so of foolish and lost walking around pulling our bags. At least guests asked if we were o.k.

Great Place, Great Location

Pleased with this rental as it was in a great place (North Kihei), and end unit that was right on the beach so you can hear the waves, Everything worked well and I would actually stay there again if I were to go back to Maui.
