Overall we had a great time at this house - it fit our family well and the location was unmmatched. The walk to the beach is short and easy (public access was much easier than taking the stairs from the private access, especially with kids and all the stuff that comes with them). My husband and I went with our two young children (ages 2 and 6m), as well as my parents (ages 60+), and my siblings (ages 30+). The screened-in porch was great for eating all our meals and a couple of rainy days. Quiet street - lots of walkers throughout the day, and some local traffic - otherwise very quiet. It's close by to markets which was convenient. There were some safety concerns around the house - specifically the steps going from the sunroom into the house, they are very steep and caused a few tumbles (both adults and kids), and one of the main doors is pretty rusted/jagged, so we had to keep the kids clear from it. The kitchen has a decent supply of utensils and pots/pans, but they aren't great quality. The cleanliness of the home wasn't great when we checked in which was disappointing (still food in the fridge from previous tenants, sticky counters, dirty dishes/utensils). But we didn't mind cleaning as we went - it was all manageable.We did have some questions regarding the beach access and our questions were answered really quickly via text which was appreciated.We would love to rent here again - the house is older and with that comes quirks and whatnot which is expected on the cape, but for the price we just expected more on the upkeep/cleanliness side of things. The beach was the selling point of this house. It really was perfect.
