We have been staying at Sunrise at least once a year for the past roughly 10 years in a 3/3. This unit was our favorite to date! The 9th floors provides great views and the wrap around is not blocked by buildings/crosswalks. Canât wait to go back!
The location and size of property was great. The property was clean and i loved the wrap around balcony. However, this condo does need a lot of TLC and updating. Need more outdoor seating as well as in the living area. The bathrooms ceiling need attention as well. Overall, we did enjoy our stay. View was magnificent.
First of all this place is huge! Pictures do no do this unit justice! All of the families who stayed at sunrise were wowed! And our place was the gathering area for family friend breakfast and games. The place was spotless the beds were very comfortable we were happy to have extra beach chairs plenty of bathroom towels attention to little details perfect ! I got my perfect sunset photos from the large balcony . If you are staying at sunset do yourself a favor just get this unit we were the envy of the other guests.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The condo was spacious and had everything we needed, great view of the beach and front beach rd. You get the best of both. The balcony is amazing. The pool area is beautiful especially at night. Our teenagers really enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. This condo is set up where if you have a big group you can still have your privacy. The condo was very clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. Elevators were slow when being used by alot of people, coming and going, but the wait was never excessively long. Parking garage was easy to get in and it of. Condo was easy to find and a great location! The only cons I would have would be that in one of the bathrooms there was some mold around the vent in the ceiling. Adding another couch in the living room area is needed for a condo that sleeps 8. Nothing much to complain about. We will be looking sunrise beach resort back up for our next vacation at PCB.
We had an immune-compromised person traveling with us, so before we left for our trip, I asked a rep from Vacasa if the mold that was reported in a past review had been taken care of. I was assured it had. I also asked about the cleanliness because that had been mentioned in a review. She assured me it would be clean. Upon arrival, it was clear that there were areas that hadnât been cleaned. For example, when I wiped up a puddle of water on the floor our first night, the white towel turned brown. Along the corners in the showers, it was black. After 3 days of our immune-compromised member having constant migraines, we realized the water that kept pooling in the kitchen wasnât from the freezer, as we reported. It was condensation from the vents. On further inspection, we noticed water dripping from other vents and mold in them. After many apologies, a visit from maintenance with a promise of a phone call (that didnât happen) to get it taken care of ASAP, a face-to-face conversation where we were told that every single room in Panama City was occupied, we realized we had to stay the night. We turned off the A/C, duct taped the vents and opened every window and door. The next day, we were given 4 alternative locations to finish out our trip. Only one of the places was beachfront like the one we had, so we packed up and moved to a different location. The new place had stained up furniture and carpeting. Reviews as far back as 2017 mentioned both needing to be replaced.
Vacasa was in contact with us throughout the ordeal. Unfortunately, we spoke with different people every time and received different solutions. The woman we spoke to face-to-face said we could get a refund. Others said only 3 days would be refunded and another one said all but 1 would be refunded. They all agreed it had been handled poorly. Nobody was ever authorized to refund fully. People promised to call back in 10 minutes and never did. When I called them, they acted surprised and upset but were never able to resolve the issue. As of today, we have received zero days refunded.
I have rented from VRBO multiple times and Airbnb with no problems. This was my first time to rent from Vacasa and possibly my last. Upon check in I overheard a maintenance lady telling the check in lady that she had sprayed for ants among other things. I immediately thought Please donât let that be our condo but apparently it was. Upon entering the condo we were met with a sticky floor, a kitchen counter with dried food and sand on it. It wasnât long until a live roach was seen in a bedroom. Then we started seeing ants here and there. I know we could have requested someone to come but our group of 6 was very tired after traveling for 8 hours and we just wanted to get to the beach. By the 2nd night our family could not sleep in the first bedroom due to being overrun with ants even in the bed. Those family members had to sleep on an uncomfortable sleeper sofa for 2 nights. Even after I called maintenance and had them spray we still had ants. There is a serious problem with 912 and we definitely will not recommend Vacasa.
This is a very nice condo to stay in. The view is absolutely fabulous and it is well stocked with all the needs of home. We cooked quite a bit to save money. The location is minutes from Pier Park and other shopping if that's your thing. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Did I mention the master bedroom has a very comfy bed?!
The unit was clean which is most important. On the negative side, there were only 2 unmatched wine glasses and 5 unmatched water glasses. Also there are only 2 deck chairs, both low. Another thing to note, the bunk beds are in the guest room that has a bathroom so adult guests must use the hall bath. The master was fine. That being said, we would still rent there again.
The condo was located in a great location, close to pier park and attractions. The condo was plenty spacious for the six of us. The balcony had fantastic views of the fireworks for New Years. We will definitely stay here again.
The room we stayed in could have been better taken care of. The master bathroom shower ceiling was molded. The floor had not been moped for a good while. I went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the Äoorknobs, light switches counters and the walls. The furniture was old and broken. The big TV didn't work and had small TV placed in front of them. The office staff were not very helpful.
In all I believe it could be a nice place it just needs some work.
Great location. However, one again a problem was reportrd but nothing was ever followed up on. Reported large tv in living room had been replaced with a much smaller one. Apparently this was the solution for a previous problem. Reported mold problem in the master bath shower upon arrival. never saw a maintenace person the entire week. Mold still just as bad when we left.
