ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
This spacious Provencal villa sleeps 10-12 people in 6 bedrooms, with 4 bedrooms in the main villa and 2 bedrooms in separate annexes on the property. The annexes are right next to the pool, and around 40m from the main house. The main house has the master bedroom with kingsize bed plus 2 bedrooms with double beds and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 with shower and 1 with bathtub and shower. The studios in the annexes include a double bed, a separate kitchenette and bathroom. The main villa has a eat-¬in kitchen, a living area and an outdoor eating area just outside the kitchen along with an outdoor BBQ by the pool area. There is outdoor lounge space and large car parking, plus a beautiful and large (16 x 10m) swimming pool.

THINGS TO KNOW
Minimum stay: 7 days. Note that while the house welcomes babies and has a crib, there is no high chair and there are no stair gates. The pool is not gated or heated and some bedrooms open directly to the garden; for this reason we recommend it for those with non-crawling babies or children over the age of 6. Non swimmers will need close supervision. Car rental is essential for this location. The main house has 4 bedrooms and 2x annexes on the property each have a further bedroom and separate kitchens.

WHY KIDS LOVE IT
The house is well set up for a family stay with lots of outdoor space, garden toys, a ping-pong table, trampoline and basketball hoop. Bicycles and rollerblades are all there to keep kids busy and having fun. Plenty of toys and books are provided inside too. One bedroom is particularly good for kids and has 2 twin beds; a crib is also available. Teens may love the privacy of the annex rooms in the garden. There are various activities kids can do over the summer in the region, from sailing and scuba courses around the Lerins Islands, to mountain climbing or hiking and biking in Greoliere or Bar-sur-Loup. Water sports are on offer in Juan-les-Pins, which also has the nearest beach (20-30 minutes away) and there are various happenings in Cannes or Nice all summer.

ABOUT THE LOCATION
The residence is in Valbonne, an ancient village on the Cote d'Azur with a large Anglophone population. It has a blend of 16th-century character with a modern town atmosphere and the house is a 25-30 minute walk from it. The Provencal villages of Biot, Saint-¬Paul-¬de-¬Vence, Mougins or Eze are all within easy access for simple day trips. Cannes is both lively and child-friendly. The house is close to markets, restaurants and stores, and is a 20-minute drive from Nice airport.

I was brought up in South of France and in Copenhagen, Denmark . I relocated back to Copenhagen for more than 10 years ago. My three kids (25, 13, 8) enjoy greatly our Scandinavian living which is what we hope to bring back towards our lovely villa in la Côte d'Azur.

Set up with a main villa with 4 bedrooms and 2 annexes in the grounds, it works well for a larger family or group. Kids can run and play in the rose and hydrangea-filled garden while you relax by the pool. Wicker baskets are perfect for taking to the local market; hammocks hang in the shade and a long table in the garden is ideal for lunch and dinner. Stroll into Valbonne, just under 2km away, to experience the market on a Friday and enjoy lunch on Place des Arcades. The location makes exploring the Riviera with kids easy: it is 20 minutes from Antibes and Cannes, and 40 minutes to Saint Tropez or Monaco.

Bohemian dream. Set on 5,000 sqm of gardens on the top of the hill surrounding Valbonne, the villa has impressive views of the mountains, Chateau de Castellaras and the Mediterranean sea. It has a lovely indoor-outdoor feel with french windows in every room. The hallway and the kitchen are laid out with vintage terracotta tiles old enough to give character to the space. Bedrooms have beautiful soft fabrics, wooden bowls and wicker baskets; one has a hanging table from the ceiling. This charming light-filled house decorated in soft tones with refined style and colors. We love the flower-filled garden, the beautiful vintage crockery and the relaxed, free-spirited feel.
