Family vacation
We love going to puerto peñasco, we have never had any issues with with the place we stay at. But this time we had some issues with the house .there is too many to list them all in a nutshell there problems with the A/C the stove showers the kitchen in general was bad.thankfully they replace the fridge early in our stay that helpfull the staff at cansago were very helpfull.in finishing we could not possibly stay there again.
The location was perfect and just steps away from the beach which was great for younger kiddos and our dogs! However, the place is very outdated and not the cleanest. The AC took 3 days to finally cool off the house and bring your own linens, hand soap and cleaning supplies as they offer you nothing!
We had a very hard time locating the home because we got in late and it was so dark. Checking in during the day is a must if you are not familiar with the area. Also, no grill on the property like the description said.
Property has nice ocean views and short walk to beach, access is right across street! This is an older home that had some poor reviews in the past. The owner/property manager took note and made some upgrades. Newer coffee maker, smart TVs, etc. No WiFi. The home was super clean, everything worked and the best part was the location!
The main toilet didn't flush - I reported this issue twice, the management company said
they would have someone out there to look at it in couple of hours - NO ONE SHOWED.
I reported as issue on Monday - our check out date!
The house is nice, however, it needs basic upkeep!
had broken glass table in kids room sliced open my niece leg. had to take to the hospital first night. no one even made sure everyone was ok. didn't even come take care of the table. TV in living room didnt work. had to use my own wifi. no soap and 2 towels. the master bedroom was hot. no one ever came to address the issue. was told I could ask for assistance with towels or toiletries when I did no one showed. also, if you don't have GPS it's hard to find. the view was beautiful but that was the only good thing of this house.
The septic tank smell was so bad we had to find another place to stay. We had the maintenance man there He didnât speak English and didnât fix anything. The kitchen sink leaked and he said it needed to be replaced. That wasnât done. He said he didnât smell anything. Most of the house stunk. People who walked in the door immediately said something. The shower head in both showers dripped He didnât fix it. Water puddled outside of the showers on the floor. He didnât fix it. It was a very un sanitary, unhealthy atmosphere. They have plastic on the mattresses so you sweat all night. The blinds fell down on my head when I opened them. One light next to the bed didnât work several blinds throughout the house are broken off at the ends. Several blinds do not open. All in all a horrible house
When we first arived at the property it looked like it needed some TLC and someone else's trash still left behind. The overall inside was clean. Opened a kitchen cabinet door and the handle fell off in my hand not just once but three times. The fridge must of been recently replaced because the bug guts were still on the side from transport. The master bedrrom fan light worked but the fan inoperable, needless to say the room was hella HOT. The bathroom fart fan did not work and just our luck, my wife and i got the 24hr mexico bubble guts so we had to smell the terror that was coming out of us. The next morning one my family members said that their room was extremely hot and their fan wasnt working either. I go to inspect it and the F()@%!Ă& fan blades are gone. Later in the day the water pressure was low and then went completely out. When checking in at the rental management office they said that the area is running low on water "so please be reasonable with the water", as we all should. From the first day on arrival I noticed a pump under the entry side stairs, maybe thought it was to help push the water from where it was coming from. When the water did go completely out, I went ourtside to inspect the pump and it was constantly running. Thought to myself, "that's weird". Looked around the house a bit more and noticed a large square lid. Just out of curiosity I lifted, hoping it wasn't a man hole, but it was a water cement water tank to the house and it was empty.
Spiders, messy property, poor seating, bad beds, all the blinds are broken, tv falling out of the wall, zero cleaning supplies, no outside shower, master bedroom is hot, no outside seating, noisy beds, broken fans and missing blades, bring towels and pillows. 44 hours total time available to use the house and cost almost 1k. Pretty disappointed. It served its function. We had beds to sleep in and was close to the beach.
I didnât love being off the beach but not the houses fault. Good layout and I liked having a yard. The house needs updating, appliances are old and the TV is in a weird spot from where the couch sits.
Nice house and parking was great we felt very safe and not far from all of the hot spots in Rocky Point. The property could use a little TLC in a few areas but still a very good property. Do not rent this property if you require a wheelchair or strugal walking in any way because it is only stair access to this house.
We have been going to rocky point for over 20 years and this house has got to be the worst house/condo that we have rented. . It was dirty, blinds were broken, windows were cracked, light bulbs missing, etc The couch had dried up throw up from previous renters, disgusting! It was close to the beach, but not worth it at all.
Great location, but lacking a lot of essentials....
The location is great. The beach is a very short walk. There are stairs going down which is very nice. The beach here is awesome. No rocks. The waves are crazy. Itâs nice and quiet as well.
The house has a lot of potential. However, the owners should make note of what has become a standard for rentals in Las Conchas and provide at least the essentials. If they arenât, they should note that in the rental description.
There is ZERO privacy in the master bedroom!! We rigged a blanket up to cover the window. It looks like the mini blinds are missing. Unless you change clothes in the bathroom youâll be giving your neighbors a free show.
There is no WiFi here. That should have been noted on the rental ahead of time. My husband and I both had to work and unfortunately that was made very difficult.
Also, there are no bath towels or dish towels. We were told by the rental management company that âthe owner doesnât provide bath towelsâ. Luckily they were kind enough to bring some for us. We always bring our own beach towels, but never have I had a rental that didnât provide at least bath towels. We used one of our beach towels to dry the dishes. Since there is no dishwasher, dish towels would have been nice.
There was also a grand total of 2 rolls of toilet paper and a half roll of paper towels.
There was no bar soap in any of the bathrooms for hand washing. In every other rental Iâve had in Las Conchas (which has been many), there have been at least little packaged hotel soaps.
It is very difficult to lock the deadbolt on the back door.
The stove is going out. All the burners were working, but on the last morning the two on the left stopped working.
A new shower head is needed in the master bath. You canât move the one that is there to position it so it doesnât spray water all over the bathroom floor.
Usually an owner leaves instructions on what to do in the house before you leave. We did the normal stuff. Put the dishes in the sink and turned off the lights. There was no large dumpster to put the trash in. We bagged it up and put it on the back patio.
We tried to use the garage as it states there is a garage for use as a part of the rental. Seemed like the garage door was broken.
We rent in Las Conchas a lot. While no rental is the same, they at least have all had the essentials. The place has a lot of potential. If the owner takes care of the little things it would be 5 stars.
