The house was a cozy home away from home for our family of 6. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas as a nice little surprise. Plenty of linens and home supplies. I would update the listing that there isnât a hot tub. I would also recommend planning for more than 45 minutes to Vancouver by car as some trips took nearly 2 hours with traffic but that could have been Taylor Swift traffic. The Skytrain out of Coquitlam was handy to head into Vancouver for city trips. Overall a wonderful home base for day trips in the area. Cliff Park was an amazing nature hike in the area!
This three bedroom and two bathroom house was perfect for our family with young adult children. Everyone had their own space with a nice home feel. The location was ideal with everything you could want or need within a short commute. The back patio was where we spent a lot of time just hanging out and sharing a coffee or a glass of wine. The house was clean and appropriately priced. We would recommend this rental to others.
We absolutely loved our stay here. It was very homey and we felt very safe. It was quite a ways from Vancouver, about an hour with bad traffic. The beds were ultra comfortable in the home and everything was spotless. We are a partial celiac family and Jacquie left some nice gluten free items for us upon our arrival which was super sweet. The only thing I did not realize was the home has no microwave. It was difficult for us to re-heat items. Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in the near future. Thank you so much!!! :)
1. The owner CAME TO THE HOUSE WHILE WE WERE OUT. Some our things were moved. She even didnât warn us. It was the first time for all my life, when the owner of property came to the rented house, leave alone the fact that she MUST warn me about the visit at least and get my agreement.
2. The appliance (all of them) are very old. We HAD TO BE LIVING FOR MORE THAN WEEK WITHOUT A DISHWASHER, though we had rented a house WITH it. The owner didnât solve this matter until I complained four times and even after my fourth complaint she changed the device in 5 days.
3. The host tried to grab my money. She blamed me for damaging cover for 1 chair a week later after we left the house and tried to charge 400$.
4. A grill was awfully grimy and it worked badly.
This is the worst host Iâve ever seen.
Our party of five (my partner and myself, our seven year old and my parents) stayed at Jacquieâs home for five days this summer. Her house was beautiful, clean and extremely well stocked. Any time I went looking for something (a sharpie! Ziplock bag! Bbq lighter!) I opened a drawer and there it was. Lots of board games too. There are nightlights everywhere, the bathrooms are sparkling, and the beds are comfortable. We especially enjoyed lounging on the the epic back patio!
Jacquie was extremely friendly, and even brought us some toys for our energetic 7 year old to play with. She left a comprehensive booklet of any info you may need and is quick to respond to questions.
The neighbourhood is not walkable, but it is a short drive to some really nice parks and trails. If you want to go Golden Ears, plan in advance as you have to book a parking space and they fill up quick. In town we all really enjoyed the Big Feast resto.
All in all, a great place!
We stayed at the house for a week and had a wonderful time. It is beautifully designed, extremely well stocked and has a lovely quite large garden.
We travelled both west and east and the only problem we had was traffic in Vancouver.
There is a provincial park near by and there are also many stores and restaurants within minutes drive from the house.
This Maple Ridge property has all the comforts of home. The garden was especially beautiful. We picked fresh berries for morning pancakes one day. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the linens very nice. It was a very comfortable stay for our family of 6.
Thank you!
We had a very pleasant stay. The house and garden was beautiful, very well laid out, and well maintained.
The owner responded very quickly to questions we had.
Would definitely recommend and stay there again
Great, newly remodeled, spacious, clean, relaxing home away from home. The backyard has a covered deck that allows you to enjoy the space rain or shine. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The kitchen was fully stocked with a wide array of spices.
Hello, I am Jacqueline Montgomery. I was born and raised in Vancouver, moving to Maple Ridge in 1993 to raise my children. I love Maple Ridge for its easy access to natural beauty and the great outdoors. I welcome you to share the comforts of my home so you can experience all the wonders of beautiful British Columbia. Truly, one of the best places on earth!
Maple Ridge is an incredible community surrounded by natural beauty as well as nightlife and fine dining. Close to Vancouver, White Rock, North Vancouver, BC Ferries, USA Border, and easy drive out of the lower mainland to the Interior, there are so many activities and adventures to enjoy.
Cliff Place is a lovely, comfortable home. You can enjoy the early morning sunrise in the east and sit on the west facing patio in the evening to catch the last of the evening sunrays. Being a rancher it is accessible for all and offers a large open concept design which is bright and inviting.
