Property was just as listed. Clean, large, and a great location for wine tasting, local restaurants, and more. The owners were super helpful in planning some local outings. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed this well equipped home and kitchen. The views out of every window and door just keep amazing us. The sunsets just took our breath away! The scent of jasmine in the air accompanied by birds songs, and the hum of bees among the flowers⊠almost a sensory overload really⊠even the family dogs who visited us every day contributed to our fantastic time in the country!!
Our stay was amazing. The location was beautiful and easy for us to explore the surrounding area with ease. The house was beautiful, very clean and our host was most gracious. Upon arrival we had made a passing comment on how beautiful the patio terrace was and how a fire pit would be a nice touch so that we could enjoy it longer into the cool night. After the dinner our host organized for us at a local restaurant we returned to having a fire pit and wood on the patio. They went above and beyond to provide for our group and I would highly recommend this property should you be traveling in the area.
The villa is even more amazing than the photos. We were 11 people, and everyone had their own bed and no more than 2 people per bathroom. LOTS of room to spread out and have group or alone time. The terrace was our favorite place for drinks and meals. Judi and her entire family are lovely, gracious, kind and extremely helpful. Perfect hosts. We enjoyed the dogs so much...both Cosmo and Lamu were sweet to have around, and to go for long walks around the vineyards and the creek. We would recommend a car, as we found the bus service very challenging, which is NOT the fault of our hosts, it's just an Italy thing. Judi and family kindly drove us a few times, but even if you're a large group, I'd suggest even one car to run errands and pick up groceries. Judi is a tremendous resource for restaurants, drivers, wine tasting, pizza! We very much appreciated the food she left for us in the villa on the evening of our arrival. We would ALL return and stay again. The town of San Casciano is wonderful, but the road to walk to it is narrow and busy. We especially like Market day on Monday morning for both clothing and food. Thank you Judi and family for a wonderful getaway!
