DIfficult to fault anything about the villa or our time here. It is about 30 minutes drive South of Florence and somewhat less to the tramline if you want to avoid driving into the city. It is also superbly placed for seeing the beautiful Tuscan countryside. There is also a smaller but well stocked supermarket in Impruneta and a larger supermarket about 20 minutes away and so provisioning your stay is easy. The villa was clean and the two people helping out with laundry and setting out breakfast etc were friendly and efficient. The pool was most welcome due to the high temperature and they kept up a constant supply of clean towels. When you stay there make sure you take the vineyard and olive orchard tour. Marco was a wonderful guide and we all learned a lot from him. Also have a meal cooked at the villa as Paola is a marvellous cook and it made for a wonderful evening.
This was the most amazing place for a family holiday. The Villa is incredibly beautiful and the surrounds are superb. Kids loved the pool. And just down the road is Florence!
The villa was absolutely spectacular with great services from the beginning to the end. I just think it was farther away than Florence and I had initially envisioned at least half an hour in mild traffic.
Very nice villa with plenty of space. Ideal for families and friends. Good service and very professional handling. Very nice staff. All over very satisfying ng experience
Nice villa in the Tuscan hills. We picked the hottest week of the year so we struggled with the heat but enjoyed the pool and slept well every night in the air conditioning. Itâs half hour into Florence driving and Domitilla and staff were very helpful with recommendations. The meals prepared at the villa were wonderful too. We really enjoyed our family stay with the kids and grandkids!
Our group of 9 persons (ages 19 - 57) was completely enamored with Villa La Cherche and all itsâ offerings (donât miss Marcoâs Wine Tour and Chef Massimoâs cooking). Much gratitude to Domitilla and her wonderful Team for a delightful Tuscany experience!
Our family of 13 people ages 13-80 spent a wonderful week at La Querce in Tuscany.
The villa is grand, offering'comfortable spacious rooms ,beautifully furnished , including a wonderful dining room for family dinners.
The setting is picturesque with lots of outdoor space for the grandkids to play ball, and gather at the very large swimming pool.
We were welcomed and pampered by the staff.
It was a week our family will never forget.
We loved this historic home. The property is stunning. The soccer goals were an added plus! House can get pretty warm and with the mosquitos hard to keep windows open. But overall lovely stay.
The property is fantastic, and met all our expectations. Domitilla was easy to communicate with. She was always kind, professional, helpful and easy to deal with. The family history of the villa and property is special. Appreciated the breakfasts prepared and served daily. Very clean! Loved our stay!
We were so amazed at how beautiful the Villa was. It was everything and more than we thought it would be. The staff was amazing so unexpected. Domitilla , was so sweet and helpful and always answered any of our questions. Our family will never forget the special trip, I hope to come back someday it was just beautiful.
Splendid Week at Villa Le Querce with Our Extended Family
A group of our family gathered at the villa the week prior to our daughter's wedding and we had a marvelous time. The villa is incredibly spacious and the hosts were so kind. We never wanted to leave the property and the beautiful grounds. The chef prepared a delicious meal for us and the owners graciously conducted a lovely wine tour & tasting event for our group and other wedding guests (by pre-arrangement). We would not hesitate to return!
We recently stayed at La Querce with a group of friends, including teenagers. The villa exceeded all of our expectations. It is a lovely property, with beautiful rooms, incredible views and great spaces to relax outside, including the pool. Our kids had lots of fun in the pool and there are many spaces to congregate together or to relax alone. I can't think of a more wonderful place from which to explore Tuscany. Domitilla and the staff make you feel at home immediately. I highly recommend this place to others and hope that I can come back again soon!
Our week at the Villa surpassed all expectations for our family get together! The Villa is truly special. Each room had its uniqueness! The breakfast service was a treat and meals prepared by in-house chef were wonderful. The outside table setting just perfect. Imprunetta village is only a short walk away (though need to be wary of cars)Domitila readily answered all queries leading up to our trip which made planning easy. We loved our tour of the vineyard, cellar and tasting. We really couldnât fault our stay. Highly recommend. Thanks to Domitila and her team
We just returned from a family trip of 9 adults at Villa La Querce. The villa is located on an amazingly beautiful property surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards. Lots of space, plenty of room to spread out and also to get together. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Domitilla is lovely, helpful and quick to respond to all communications. We tried one of her restaurant recommendations - la Padellina - and it was the best meal we had during our 2 weeks in Italy. Jesus and Will made wonderful breakfasts. We all agreed that the whole experience exceeded our expectations, and we hope to return!
An oasis during the heatwave of Florence July 2023
The property is exactly as described and better. Domitilla is just a text away to answer any questions. Marco, the wine manager is so passionate about his craft make sure you take the vineyard tour with him. Jesus and Willy, the custodians, are helpful and pleasant. Wonderful to wake up to coffee and toast all days apart from Sundays. They kept the villa and our rooms immaculately. The pool is large and was much used by us all during the heatwave. Truly I can't say enough about this property, we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you
Words cannot describe the villa, the property, the pool, the outdoor dinners, the bedrooms, the wonderful people associated with the property. Domitilla was superb. Her chef Massimo amazing. The two young men who made breakfast for us and kept all tidy and clean were just wonderful.
We are already planning our return.
We were 14- grandparents, children, spouses and grandchildren. Not on wanted to leave. This was a vacation to build memories. It did so much more. Perfection in every way.
Everything about our stay was perfect. We had 11 adults, 5 couples and 1 solo. There was more than enough room for all of us, both inside and out. Our hosts were responsive, kind, and extremely welcoming at all stages of our stay. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the kitchen stocked (but the knives need sharpened!) and the many sitting areas quite comfortable. We purchased a dinner to be cooked and served and OMG it was absolutely delicious. The staff cleaned almost every day and were very helpful and sweet. Our only regret is coming during a season when the pool wasn't open because it looks like a lot of fun. I can't wait to come back to this property once again. Thank you!!!
This trip was for my family (sibilings) and a few of the adult children. There were 12 of us staying at La Querce and it was truly an amazing experience. From the original planning, Domitilla was gracious and helped us with all questions and alot of our planning. She was truly a blessing. The staff (Jesus & Wil) at the property were also great, they prepared breakfast daily and we able to help with any needs we had. The property itself is incredible, the views amazing, a huge home with plenty of room for a large family event. We had a cooking class at the Villa, we had a prepared dinner one evening and both were outstanding. I would highly recommend this Villa and look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you to Domitilla and the House Staff...we could not have been more pleased or had a more enjoyable stay.
My husband and I invited our children and grandchildren to Villa La Querce for a week. We had a fabulous time! We were a total of 16 , rooms are big and quiet so we were able to sleep without being disturbed by the young ones. The property is very pretty but what we enjoyed the most was sitting in the terrace with the beautiful view of Florence from far away and looking at the sunset. We had the chef Massimo cook for us three times and everything was delicious! Daniel and Jesus were very helpful and patient in preparing breakfast for the 16 of us!!! The owner Domitilla was always available since day one of reservation. Kids enjoyed the pool, the ping pong table, we even played , sang and dance by the piano!,, we would have loved to stay longer!, Good memories will last forever! Thank you Domitilla,,
The beautiful Villa and surrounding property are stunning enough to be featured in a romantic movie! We were a family of 14 members traveling together, ranging in age from twelve to mid seventies. The very large villa accommodated everyone well with room to spare. The bedrooms are large with delightful and unique furnishings. Most have en-suite bathrooms. The common living areas are very large and imposing. The grounds were my favorite part of the villa. The driveway has beautiful olive trees lining each side as you approach the entrance. There are rolling hills of vineyards which supply the grapes for the working vineyard. A tour was included- not to be missed. There is an inviting swimming pool with surrounding grounds which looked wonderfully inviting. Unfortunately we were there during November. Had it been warmer, that spot would have been a family favorite. Our experience was enhanced by the lovely people we were fortunate enough to interact with. Domitilla, Marco, Paola, Jesus, and Ivan were so accommodating and helpful. It was a lovely week. Several of the children begged to stay longer- that speaks volumes. Pat Franks and family
This was our second visit to La Querce. We loved it the first time and even more on the second visit. Domitilla and her staff are super hosts in this centuries-old villa with much natural charm and beauty set in the idyllic rolling hills south of Florence, just enough out of town to be in the countryside but close enough for a quick trip into the city when desired. The villa was clean and well-furnished. Domitilla was most helpful with advice on restaurants and attractions as we planned the trip. She and her staff made it super easy to get settled with our first day pre-arrival food shopping and evening dinner after many hours en route. The abundant estate-produced wines available in the villa plus a special tasting and winery tour led by Marco added to our enjoyment. We have so many fond memories of our time at La Querce and highly recommend it, particularly for larger groups of family and friends traveling to the region.
The property is huge. 3 very large living rooms plus a great room. Handles large groups well. On site staff helped a lot. Domitilla the owner gracious. The house is very old but they have made efforts to modernize. Lots of steps to overcome if any physical issues. Beds were very firm. Pool was a plus but mosquitos bit fiercely even with spray. Cabs from Florence was easy, getting cab back to Florence no good. Chauffeured service by Simon excellent but pricey. Overall good expirence
My grandfather Gino bought this property in the 1950s in order to produce wine. Sine then our wines have won a great number of prizes and the villa has hosted many guests from all over the world.
