A lovely getaway to Devon with all it had to offer - so much to see and do, even on a showery day. The chapel is beautifully converted and everything we needed for our stay was there. Lovely space, comfortable beds and the children loved the hot tub! Short 15min walk into town and along the marina front. Great to stretch the legs. Parking could be an issue but the fact that you can leave it 200 metres down the road at the garage was a huge plus - the gentleman at the garage was very helpful and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay in your home. One little improvement which could be beneficial and I hope a helpful pointer is to have access to recycling bins as currently there is only a good sized general waste bin.
The property was beautiful and the location absolutely perfect for our needs, but it pains me to say that we had some issues that went unresolved due to poor communication from the host during our stay. We couldn't get the washing machine to operate (it was seemingly faulty) and the host did not respond to our messages about it until after our stay. As the heated towel rails were not working either, we would have had damp towels for the duration of our stay if not for having family nearby to help out with our laundry issues. Otherwise the communication was friendly and I feel sorry to have to point out these negatives for an otherwise wonderful accommodation.
8 friends stayed in this amazing property and wow we were not disappointed. Everything in the property was of high standard and attention to detail has been a priority. Whether we were relaxing in the hot tub or walking to the Harbour to enjoy the food at many eating places we were happy. I would highly recommend this beautiful property to take a holiday in âŠâŠâŠ just perfect â€ïž
Beautiful house, well equipped with super comfy beds. The owner was great at responding to messages and provided lots of useful information. The property is in a brilliant location, an easy walk into Brixham and a shop just 5 minutes down the road. It has everything you need for a fantastic holiday. I would definitely recommend.
Spacious clean well equipped
Loved the property, parking slots accross the road for 3 cars 15 min walk to harbour but no steep hills and pleasemt commute
Friendly helpfull hosts 10 out of 10 highly reccomend
Five of us stayed for a week here and it was lovely. Its within walking distance of Brixham and the coastline for lots of lovely walks of all lengths. We loved our stay in Devon.
Fantastic property with plenty of room for us to not feel like we where under each other feet. Great facilities in all rooms meaning the children could spend time in the rooms on evenings watching tv while the adults could unwind in the main area. Hot tub creating a relaxing area after a busy day out. Local shop stocked with essentials for the daily groceries. Handy location to all the local visiting spots. Only negative was the confusion over parking at the local garage who when asked clearly had no idea of the arrangement made.
All in all an excellent stay.
High quality converted chapel, 15 minutes walk into Brixham, hot tub is a big bonus, communication with owner is excellent, would definitely stay there again.
This is a lovely property to stay at, in a great location for Brixham Harbour (15 minute walk). It's on a main road although not particularly busy so road noise was barely noticeable. The fact that there is no parking outside the house is slightly annoying but there is parking provided a short walk away and when we arrived we just briefly parked up opposite to unload luggage and shopping. It's generally well equipped but there were a few items missing that I have generally found as standard in other self catering properties that I stay at. There were no tea towels (the owner did ask the cleaner to drop one off but that never arrived so we used a hand towel from one of the bathrooms all weekend instead) and no oven gloves either so without tea towels to handle hot baking trays etc...we had to use the hand towel for that too. We didn't get some of the items mentioned in the welcome pack too (kitchen towel, wine & cake) but I note that has been changed on the property listing now. We also didn't have a bath mat in our bathroom so when stepping out of the shower the bathroom floor was quickly soaking wet. These are all really small points and obviously didn't ruin our stay. They are just more attention to detail and thinking through everything someone might want/need. It's a great house though and well worth booking to experience Brixham whilst staying in a nice property. One point to note is that the courtyard garden is on two levels. The upper level has no fence and a big drop so one to watch with children and/or dogs.
Great place to stay, lovely comfy beds and everything provided to make it a real home from home . The hot tub was a real hit with everyone making it extra special.
We had a wonderful stay with friends in this beautiful church. The location is great and the place offered just what we were looking for.
Unfortunately we did have to deal with unfair and dishonest complaints from disgruntled neighbours, and hairs in the bed... somewhat putting a dampener on our nursesâ break.
The house invites fun and relaxation, which we had in abundance. Thank you!
