Relax on the deck overlooking the dock with your favorite beverage. Enjoy the ambience and the eclectic atmosphere of this laid back island getaway. You would never know that you are in the heart of the village. Across the street is the culinary delight, The Blacktail Restaurant and 200 metres from there and above Howler's Liquor store is The Village Hearth, a fabulous gathering spot for breakfast, lunch and happy hour. Included in that same building is the Ocean View Pub and Grill. The best and only pub in town! It doesn't get better than this!! All amenities with-in walking distance!

The property was amazing! Perfectly located - central and close to everything. The space was nice, clean and open for my two dogs and I.Was nice and quiet for a perfect restful stay.The renters was very responsive and quick and extremely accommodating on short notice.The covered porch overlooking the harbor was our nightly spot to wind down.5 - would recommend

Spacious, clean, great location and lots of attention to details (bottle of water & glasses by the bed, snacks in the fridge, etc.). Huge kitchen. I really liked the eclectic style - the island vibe. We were 3 and were able to have a bed made up in a separate space (the laundry) - which worked great. Highly recommend. Will be back.

There is nothing I would change. Better than pictured. You can literally just bring your clothes. Best location and great host. Decorating is to die for.

Nothing less than superb on all counts. 8 minute drive from ferry. You can walk to everything you might need or want in 5-10 minutes. Home is delightful with many design elements that are ingenious and fun. Many treats and basic staples were in the home. One of the best Vrbos we have stayed in! Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Peaceful dockside retreat

We were pleased to find this stay even better in person than the photos do justice. There were so many thoughtful touches, the snacks, the artwork and gardens... they all made this place truly exceptional.

It was a central place to stay on the island. Huge apartment with everything needed plus a washer and dryer. The added extra touches were lovely. We would go back.

This was a great place, in a great location. There aren’t too many options in Haida Gwaii and especially not many are pet friendly. This property gave us everything we were looking for on such a remote island. Comfortable, peaceful and quiet, across the street from one of the few and best restaurants on the island. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Marina view retreat!

We had everything we could have asked for and more at this spacious and artistically appointed studio. Cindy was a great communicator and had food items to get us started on our wonderful visit to Haida Gwaii. The deck was a feature and we were pleasantly surprised with how walkable Daajing Giids is.

Fantastic find in Daajing Giids

We *loved* our stay here and the host was a wonder. Two small notes about the property before covering it's many positives: The shower is quite small; if you are a larger person you may find it challenging. It worked fine for us, but I can imagine it being a squeeze for very tall or larger folks. It is also mostly one very large room, so while there are two large beds they are both in the same space with a half-height wall surrounding it. Both of these things are visible in the pictures, but could be overlooked. They are minor things in the bigger picture, however: We arrived to a bowl of freshly picked strawberries in the fridge, along with some grapes and cheeses, and freezies for the kids in the freezer. The kitchen was very well stocked, to say the least, and there was even pasta and sauce in the cupboard in case we arrived and needed a quick meal. The view is gorgeous, looking out over the wharf and boats out into the Skidegate inlet and it's many islands. The best restaurant in town, Blacktail, is literally across the street, and an ATM and a convenience store is just around the corner. It's a short walk (or an even shorter drive) to the main grocery in town, and 10 minutes by car from the large Coop in Skidegate. Hiking, kayak rentals, and cultural adventures are steps away from the house. Our host was communicative and helpful, not to mention a local. Overall, a wonderful place that we would happily return to next time we visit!
