Co-Ed Bach weekend!

Our family and friends had a great time at Windy Acres celebrating us for a low key bach weekend. Everyone loved the basement full of games! Evelyn was a great host and the house was better than expected! Spacious, lots of amenities, and fully stocked with everything we needed. The location was closer to downtown TC than expected and us girls were ecstatic there was a thrift store across the street! Our group included minors, young adults, and parents who all loved the home as well. We look forward to staying again! Thanks so much!

Great place for our soccer tournament weekend

We had 3 families stay at this home for our children’s soccer tournament in TC. The home is a very well maintained 70s house and much of it maintained to its true 70s style and flare. So fun to be in a home like this and able to imagine it back in its 1970s heyday! The home is expansive with so much room to sprawl out. It is very conveniently located and although close to a busy road you barely notice once on property. Will plan to return to this property!

Bowling Weekend

House was exactly as advertised!! Plenty of beds and room for our groups bowling weekend! The location was perfect with a grocery store directly across the street and plenty of food options only minutes away. The basement was awesome with ping pong, pool, darts, and card table to give us plenty to do once our day on the lanes was finished! Will definitely be using this property again in the future when we come up north!

Just what we needed

Our group had such a great stay at your property. Everything was well organized in the home with instructions for all TVs and appliances. We really enjoyed the game room!!! Having access to the garage to the for our golf clubs and equipment was a nice bonus. Looking forward to another visit.

Huge House with everything you need!

We enjoyed our stay in this almost 5,000sq ft Ranch! We had a group of 14 (4adults,10 kids). The house had a 80’s decor and vibe to it and we didn’t mind it at all! Solid house and solid furniture & I loved the old school appliances! The basement Billiards table, ping pong table, black jack/ card table and wet bar with plenty area for all to keep entertained . There was enough beds to sleep 15 with basement pull out sofas but honestly the little kids slept on the couches /sofas because they were so firm and comfy / big enough. Plenty of property outside and we brought a volley ball net to have some evening fun! The backyard was definitely windy that’s why it’s called Windy Acres but we didn’t mind it better then no wind at all on the hot evenings. The house was fully loaded to anything you needed besides actual food which the market is walking distance across the street from house or a 1-2 minute drive ! Downtown traverse city/ public beaches was less than 15 minutes without traffic. Lots of shopping stores and restaurants /fast food/ coffee/ bakeries etc with in minutes drive. Evelyn the host was quick in replacing out the coffee machine when I sent a message it wasn’t working properly we had a new one with a few hours. She was easy to get a hold of via Text and she was nice to let us check in at 10am opposed to 4pm so we had an extra full day. Overall I will be back in this area in the future and would definitely come back here again if it’s available. Thank You!

Perfect for what we needed!

We booked this house because our children were playing in a soccer tournament in Traverse City. We had three families staying here and there was PLENTY of room! The house is really cool - super spacious and had lots to keep the kiddos busy when they weren't playing soccer! There was constant communication with the host and the location was perfect for us, because it was a very short distance to the soccer fields. We will absolutely try and stay here again when we're back up for the next tournament!

Wonderful accommodating home with a thoughtful host!

A BIG thank you for hosting us and working so hard for us to check in early since we were driving 11 hours through the night with a baby. Your personal touch when we arrived with card and gift was so thoughtful. You are an A++ host! We had a fabulous stay! Your home was perfect and exceptionally clean!! I loved all the nostalgia from my childhood and had a blast identifying items and talking about them with my kids. DON'T RENOVATE....spoken by an interior designer! It's refreshing to get the flashback vs. fashion forward on EVERY project I am involved with. The basement was amazing! We stayed up way too late every night having our adult fun after the babies were asleep. We would 100% stay here again! All the accommodations were great! We only needed to add the fun and food.

Very thoughtful, accommodating, wonderful host!

This host is fabulous! She worked very hard to flip the home over quickly for an early check in knowing we were driving 11 hours through the night with a baby. The home was exceptionally clean. We did not want for one item during our stay….just add the fun! We loved the basement for our adult fun after the babies were asleep. This property is also close to Traverse City with a short, easy commute to all the downtown fun. We would 100% stay here again!

Cozy & Relaxing with Plenty of Room

This property was perfect for us to visit family and have our own space during the holiday season. It was spacious and had a great layout. Plenty to do in the basement with ping-pong, pool, darts, etc. Evelyn went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed! We were thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail and kindness of our hostess. The location was great and convenient. Although near a busy intersection, you never felt like it since you are tucked back and the view out the back is nothing but nature. We definitely plan to stay at this property again in the future!

50th Wedding Anniversary

We rented the house to celebrate our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was an amazing time with our entire family. The basement is a family gaming paradise. The house was beautiful and fit the needs for our whole family!! Thanks Evelynn for sharing your families home with our family.

Perfect fit for our large group

Everything that was advertised is present in this home. Everyone consistently commented on how clean and well kept the home is. It is older but very unique and clean. Everything you need is there. Fully stocked kitchen, towels, linens, etc… We had 6 kids, 8 adults and never felt on top of each other. The kids had tons of space to play and enjoyed the basement. Ages from 12-2. The couches upstairs are very comfortable if for some reason you needed to use them.

Great home & property

We had 4 families stay together and this house was perfect. It had everything we needed and more than enough space. It was a plus that the kitchen and living areas were at the opposite end of the house from the bedrooms, so that anyone who stayed up later would not keep the sleepy ones awake! The kitchen had plenty of plates and silverware for our big group, which has been a problem at rentals before. Beds were comfortable, and the teens loved having the entire big basement to themselves. We would definitely stay here again if it worked out.

A great experience!!

This house was perfect for an extended family get together from which we could enjoy Traverse City. The house was very clean and accommodating with enough space that having 12 adults never felt crowded. The multiple family rooms with TVs allowed anybody who wanted space to have it. The game room and wet bar in the basement was a bonus also. The country view was very nice while still being near to stores and restaurants. We would definitely consider this house again when we are back in Traverse City.

Spacious Home

The location of the home, albeit on a busy highway, was not a bad thing as it was far from the road noise. The home was supplied with many items especially the kitchen. Having a combination of various cooling systems was a little tedious as was figuring out the operation of the TV systems. The home owner did provide a fairly comprehensive book with tips and suggestions for activities and restaurants. We used the large dining room table for nightly game night and the kids played in the basement most of the time. Having the pool table, ping pong table, and a bar downstairs was great. A couple of drawbacks to this home is the master bathroom is extremely small as is the showier. The other three bedrooms on the main level have to share one bathroom too. This made coordination an issue along with the need to utilize the basement bathroom (which is large). Lastly, the home is dated and needs updating in many area i.e. appliances but we still enjoyed our stay and made great memories.

Wonderful stay!

We recently stayed for a girls weekend and had a wonderful time! The house is spacious and no one felt like they were on top of each other. There is a patio off one of the living rooms that we enjoyed and the basement is huge & a great hangout spot. The location is close to everything. We would definitely recommend staying here, everything was great from booking to checking in and checking out!
