We spent a week exploring Boston with our kids, and this home was the perfect base. Very quiet neighborhood, plenty of space in the house. We loved exploring the lake in the afternoons, and we enjoyed the foosball table and shuffleboard too.
Incredible spot in nature just outside Greater Boston
Property is absolutely gorgeous, and great for anyone wanting to leaf-peek during fall and still have quick access to Boston. We were very fortunate to see a bunch of blue jays and chipmunks around the area. Thereâs also lots of access to shopping in the nearby area and an incredible pizza joint within a 5 minute walk from the property.
The owner is especially nice. Would definitely stay here again!
The house was perfectly located with an unobstructed lake view across the street. The game room was so much fun and the large TVâs were perfect for watching March Madness, Bruins and Celtics! This house is close to everything, but feels private and tucked away. I will 100% rent this property again.
Very clean and cozy. Owner told us how to find the address and when not to listen to GPS, greatly appreciated! Owners communication was excellent on any questions we had. The house has a great game room! Nice quiet area to stay at.
This property was excellent. My sister and o stayed with our kids. The house was perfect for us. The layout is very comfortable. It was clean, modern and had everything we needed. The manager was responsive and clear on property rules and expectations. EASY to check in and check out.
Loved it!
Location was excellent for our needs - Lake views a bonus! Very clean! Had our adult children/spouses with us but everyone had privacy when needed. Well appointed kitchen - we cooked every night. Game room a lot of fun for all ages. Host was super responsive to every inquiry and provided concise rules without being overbearing. Would definitely go back!
We are regular travelers renting homes throughout the east coast and would rate Deanâs Lakehouse as a true treasure. Almost at the end of a quiet dead-end road overlooking Lake Cochituate, this house is the perfect retreat for a peaceful quiet getaway. It is one of the nicest, best located, and real value of all the places we have stayed. The Lake House was a spotlessly clean, well-updated home that had everything we needed to feel at home. This house features a game room with an old-school shuffleboard table, bubble table hockey game, and vintage hole-in-one gold video console game, all surrounded by great movie posters (Caddy Shack and Slap Shot, among others) and vintage ad plaques on the walls. Nature walking paths abound around Lake Cochituate to enjoy. Also close by are all several supermarkets to stock up and many restaurants to choose from, not to mention only about 30-40 minutes to downtown Boston. Dean is an excellent host who made himself immediately available if we had any questions or needed anything. We would highly recommend this wonderful lakeside retreat. Thanks again for a great weekend Dean.
We stayed here as a family and had a lovely experience. The house was clean and quiet and it was lovely to walk down by the lake in the evening and watch the sunset. The host was very responsive!
Private & secluded, but still central-ish to tourist stuff. Was about an hour to/from Boston with no traffic & about the same to Newport. Nice lake setting - wished weâd stayed one more day to hang out on the lake.
We enjoyed our stay at this quiet, comfy and fun home with it's lovely lake just out front. We watched sunset from the little beach's hammock and had fun playing shuffleboard together in the games room. The host was great to communicate with making our stay relaxing and rejuvinating.
