Beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood - perfect for catching up with friends I havenât seen in years. Easy check-in and good communication from the owner.
We have no complaints about our stay here! Weâd come again if we are in the area. The house was as described in the listing, well stocked, and very comfortable. Everything was in good working order. Beautiful quiet neighborhood.
The place was immaculate. Provided all the basic necessities for our stay. From the outside it looked like an ordinary house in a neighborhood. But the interior was very unexpected. High, exposed wood ceilings, wood beams and wood framing. We loved it!
Large, beautiful kitchen. Comfortable bed and couches, My husband loved the exposed timber frame. Town of Holliston had many restaurant choices. Loved Caseyâs Crossing. Neighborhood very peaceful and easy to walk your pet around. Overall dog friendly neighbors. Host was extremely responsive.
The pictures of this property make this place seem shiny and modern. The reality is a bit different, however, as the portions of the living space not shown in the photos are quite old and drab. No complaints really; just that this property is a regular old house with a decor which is dated and a bit stuffy. That said, the owner was great to work with and we had a great time regardless.
Very clean, neat, roomy, good beds, well organized, and well stocked. Kitchen, dining area, and living area were very comfortable. All appliances worked except garbage disposal. Layout somewhat ackward: top floor 2+ bedroooms with one full bath / basement: no bedroom with one full bath. Opening windows a problem. Luggage racks would be a good addition.
I had been impressed by the reviews that I saw before booking this property, and the photos and description are very accurate. Unfortunately, we ran into a number of problems that caused us to only stay one night.
We got no instructions from the owner until 90 minutes before check-in. Even then, only the lockbox code and no check-in/check-out procedures. I expected something stating what to do about linens, dishes, trash, etc, but didn't get that. No local contact/emergency information either.
The slats fell out of the king bed as soon as I sat down. My husband discovered the slats weren't secured at all, so even the slightest shift caused them to fall out. He was able to position everything carefully so we could sleep, but it wasn't a good start. The silk sheets also kind of weirded us out.
In the morning we reached out through VRBO and asked the owner to contact us. After 8 hours he did, and he did offer send someone to come look at the bed. But we were heading out to dinner, so we declined. My husband even said "It's just one more night."
I got a birthday cake out when we got back, but when I set it on the counter I realized there was a large dead dragonfly in front of me on the window sill - unappetizing. My kids mentioned there were dead bugs in their rooms too. Then we found a dirty knife in the block and a dirty plate in the cupboards. We had cake, washed up, and didn't even want to stay the 2nd night, so we left. The owner just thanked me and said "sorry."
Well-supplied kitchen; plenty of beds for a large group; 3 bathrooms was wonderful for a large group. Property manager was immediately responsive to my texts. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.
My mother spent her best years in Holliston and we were thrilled to find a VRBO in town. My two sisters, along with their spouses and two adult children all stayed there with me and my wife. Cousins from Wisconsin and Chicago joined us will our cousins still living in Mass to have a ceremony at Cape Cod Natl Cemetery to join my 97 year old mom that had died with my dad who was a veteran.
The house was a perfect base of operation and everything was as represented. A couple of minor problems were identified and addressed; Orlando was very responsive throughout. It really was a home for us while we were there and was a wonderful place to have family gather and to rest and recharge as needed. We give our highest recommendation for the property. Very homey and comfortable.
Stayed here for a weekend retreat with friends- it was the perfect spot for visiting and enjoying each otherâs company. Great kitchen, plenty of bathrooms and plenty of beds! Nice space in living room for conversation.
Very nice roomy house in leafy neighborhood. The kitchen is large and well equipped. We enjoyed the patio and BBQ outside as well. Orlando (property manager) is very helpful and quick. This stay (with 8 adults) is worthy of a repeat.
The owner is very accommodating. The place is superb , organized and everything that we need are available. We will definitely go back when given a chance.
Clean family vacation home halfway between Worcester and Boston
We wanted a place to stay midway between Worcester and Boston for the Head of the Charles regatta since we were there to watch our beloved college student row. The house is not fancy, but had plenty of space and accommodated our group well - especially when we served a team family dinner the night before the regatta. The place is lived in, but is a fine family vacation home (and likely someoneâs weekend DIY project). Itâs clean and comfortable, but thereâs not really anything within walking distance. Note - restaurants in the area tend to close early (re: 7-8pm) so definitely call before you make the trip to get dinner anywhere.
Great location! Great communication! Great home! No complaints from myself or my family who came from all over the states to watch my brother graduate college. We had a wonderful time. Beautiful home with tons of space and an especially cozy feel where the family can hang out and enjoy each others company. Very welcoming. :)
