We had a great time staying at Barn End Cottage finding it very comfortable.

We had a great time staying at Barn End Cottage finding it very comfortable. It is very conveniently within a short walk to the Monsal Trail and Pennine Bridal Way and we enjoyed some great walks with the dog. Situated in beautiful countryside it was obviously a short drive away from the supermarket in Buxton.

Our second time back here , very rural- can walk from the door .

Our second time back here , very rural- can walk from the door .we love the view of the hills from the lounge window!Barn is always lovely and warm. Also has a log burner , very cosy .Nice comfortable bed , no light pollution so good nights sleep .Owners around if you need them but unobtrusive.Well equipped for a perfect stay .

Beautiful clean property in stunning countryside.

Friendly owners but there had been some confusion in the booking process. We had specifically sought a dog friendly property and the booking confirmation stated house rules relating to dogs but apparently the owners were unaware we were bringing a dog?

The Barn was beautifully clean and well decorated.

The Barn was beautifully clean and well decorated. The kitchen was well equipped but some of the utensils were past their best and could do with replacing (scissors and tongues particularly). Maybe they haven't been previously reported.The only downside was the heating system which didn't work effectively. Downstairs was reasonable because there was a log burner and the owner provided extra logs. Upstairs was very cold, and the plug-in heater didn't provide any real benefit. In summer it's a perfect location for exploring the Peak District.

Fantastic stay.

Fantastic stay. Perfect for a family of four and a dog. We were looking for a quiet location with walks from the house and this delivered. The hosts are perfect. Really helpful but it’s also very private. Views fantastic. Chee Dale gorgeous. Monsal trail close. The property has plenty of space. Highly recommend. We enjoyed a week here in July 2020.

We enjoyed a week here in July 2020. This was their first week opening post lock-down and had been slightly de-contented to meet government guidelines but it wasn't a problem - the only thing that might helped was an additional chopping board and another sharp knife. The location is very peaceful and quite which suited us perfectly but might not suit everyone. There are great walking and cycling trails starting very close to the barn and stunning views. Buxton and Bakewell are a short drive away if you want a supermarket, shopping, or a meal out. We would definitely recommend Barn End Cottage. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Large and comfortable, extremely well equipped, very clean, everything you could possibly want. In a beautiful setting, with lovely views. Owners were very welcoming, but left you to enjoy your holiday after passing on some information. Definitely would return again.

Excellent cottage, very friendly owners. Wonderful views. Only issue for me, being over 6 foot, the main bed could have been larger. Having said that we would stay again.

A very pleasant stay, lovely cottage and welcoming owners. Location is great for walks, and only 10 minutes drive from Buxton and Bakewell. The log burner and underfloor heating meant the cottage was cosy, even on a very stormy winters night!

Barn end cottage was the ideal place to come back to, very cosy and relaxing ideally situated for touring/visiting the area. A beautiful location with breathtaking views. The owners who live next door were very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive in anyway. We had to end our stay early because of a sick cat at home and were very disappointed to leave as we were having such a great time.

This was our 3rd stay at Barn End Cottage and I’m sure it won’t be the last. The cottage had everything you could need and it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the Peak District and the view from the cottage is just beautiful. We could have spent the week sat in the cottage looking out at the lovely views. We had a great holiday here and were fortunate to have glorious sunshine all week. A perfect week in a perfect cottage.

Stunning cottage in pristine condition, perfect for a family of 4. The location is beautiful, with gorgeous views from the large living room window. We enjoyed some great walks, straight from the cottage and also from a short drive away. The owners are lovely, and I'm sure would help with anything, although we didn't need anything because everything was provided. One of the loveliest cottages we have stayed at, and would definitely recommend to family and friends.
