Cannot fault this old cottage, perfect location for great walks from door, 2 pubs on doorstep. Really comfy beds, extremely well equipped, roomy for large numbers. Added bonus of netflix and skyq, lovely welcome gift too...300 year old cottage, would definately return.
Wonderful property in a great location.
The house had everything that we needed and was very clean.
Brilliantly located with 2 pubs within walking distance
We had a wonderful stay at Corner Cottage which was very clean and well presented. The location is excellent with Bakewell just a short walk away, with a lovely river walk. There are two pubs within a five minute walk. Mark was extremely helpful prior to check in providing lots of details about the property and surronding area. He also, very kindly, left us a welcome gift.
Weâve just returned from a weekend staying ant Corner Cottage and I canât recommend this place enough. Fantastic location, very comfy, clean and bigger on the inside! Mark the host is amazing and very helpful! Will definitely return.
Lovely comfortable cottage in a great village that can access walks direct from the village. Itâs got all the facilities you need for a weekend away. Two great pubs, one lovely pub grub with good atmosphere the other great dining and very attractive. A tea room for your morning
Coffee and a small shop for essentials.
Lovely little cottage in the heart of a picturesque village close to Bakewell. The owner was really helpful and informative and left us a nice welcome gift too.. Enough parking for three cars which was useful as the village got very busy during the day. Would definitely stay again next time I visit the area.
Lovely few days with my girls in Ashford. The cottage is really well equipped and was perfect for us. The pub in the village is so welcoming, food good and very dog friendly. Would recommend a stay in this beautiful village!
We have just returned home after a wonderful stay at corner cottage.
It is the perfect place to stay, spotlessly clean the photos donât do it justice, itâs much bigger than we thought it would be, and central to Buxton .
Nice little touches for our welcome. Would not hesitate to return on our next trip to Derbyshire
Thankyou Mark
We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The location was perfect. We had lovely food in the village pubs. Mark was also amazing. I had a lovely chat with him and he gave me some great sightseeing tips. Would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at corner cottage and would definitely return! The cottage is lovely and cosy, full of everything you need, and has a wonderful picturesque location with two fantastic pubs and a village shop. Speaking with the owner ahead of our arrival, he provided us with a wealth of info about the cottage, as well as the local area and places to visit. It was our first visit to the Peak District but certainly wonât be the last! Thanks for a wonderful weekend stay.
Property was exactly as described although bigger than expected⊠exactly suitable for our requirements. The cottage is centrally located with 2 pubs, hotel & coffee shop to eat in. Also weâre able to get the hop on hop off bus from the village and Bakewell is about a 39 minute walk away.
Our host was great and quick to get things sorted out when we had an issue with the boiler.
Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. Perfect location for what we had planned with everything we needed in walking distance.
Cottage was well presented, clean and tidy. Kitchen was well stocked for all your cooking needs. Owner was contactable, very friendly and helpful.
Cottage location is brilliant for lots of local walks without having to drive..and the local pub us only 2 minutes walk and the staff and food are excellent
The cottage has really good facilities including a fully equipped kitchen, good sized bed and bathrooms, Sky TV in all bedrooms and living room, really nice furniture and decor. Great location opposite the village green where there is rear access to the pub, and there are plenty of brilliant walks from the doorstep.
Many thanks to the owners Mark and Helen.
Just perfect for my pre-Christmas get together with my kids and their partners. Beautiful location, very peaceful but very handy for Bakewell and some gentle walking in and around the village. Parking wasn't an issue and the house itself is very quirky (mind your head!) but nicely laid out and equipped. The lights and Christmas trees were a nice bonus in our particular trip too. Many thanks đ
6 adults (2 at 20) & dogs , one little & one medium . The cottage was better than expected , the pictures online are good but itâs even better when you are there . Really nice village & the local pub was great , we went twice and ate one night , food was delicious. It takes just 5 mins walk to the pub . Right next to a park and the river 3 mins walk .
This is a lovely cottage, with lashings of character, situated in the heart of Ashford in the Water.
It is more roomy than it appears on the website. There is a well equipped kitchen, a dining room which comfortably seat 6 and a cosy sitting room.
The bedrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.
It all adds up to a perfect venue to get together with family and friends.
We would unhesitatingly stay here again.
