This apartment was a great find! The large bedrooms meant we did not feel cramped, the extensive kitchen gave us scope to cook, eat and talk together and the huge drive was the perfect answer to no street parking worries. The pool was a huge bonus, on days we stayed in it served as our activity. Shops, supermarket and a market are close by, bus to all London attractions stops outside, and rail network only minutes away. Not an ultra modern property, but comfortable and of value. Weâre looking forward to returning next holiday!
Very disappointed and unhappy with the host, host was rude and communication was poor very upset
Very unhappy with how things went after paying full and booking this property as we didnât get to stay in the property we booked at. A month before the dates we booked. I received a msg stating that we will no longer stay in this property due to the fact that we are not a family and that she has put us into two different apartments and gave our booking to a family of 10. With no consulting with us before having a conversation with us. We are all nurses except only one of us out of the 9. There was a few days before the covid regulations were going to be uplifted. I then called Sue to understand what happened and why we were placed in to different flats rather than one flat. We are all family and some friends and we were coming from two households as we all work together too. When I called her she was not sorry or apologetic rather she was attacking me and her attitude was not nice at all. More defensive rather than a sorry attitude. She basically said either take this or Iâll cancel and refund your money! At this point we didnât want to cancel as we didnât know if we could find a place for 9 people so we wanted to keep it so we didnât really have a choice to accept. After my initial conversation I was devastated and upset then my sister called and had a conversation and explained it was out of order for you to not consult us as we have paid for something we arenât even getting! If we wanted to be placed in two different apartments we would have booked two different apartments the whole point of this gate away was to stay together and enjoy a hendo before the wedding unfortunately we were not able to stay in one apartment rather two apartments!
So even if you pay full you might not get what you paid for so be mindful when booking the property.
Second altercation we had was we was promised a day with the pool so we could have a pool party however on the day we were told that we could only have the pool for two hours and we were really upset and devastated because once again we wasnât getting what we was promised. We called Sue to understand what happen she was very defensive again with a attitude and later agreed we could stay till 7.30 again she had double booked and there was another group of people who also booked the whole day or night. Which made us even more upset because the only reason we booked this place was due to the fact that there was a pool!
Regarding the two properties we stayed at - average, outdated and okay

Away from the hustle and bustle but still close to town.
We enjoyed our stay and were pleased with the facilities. The house had everything we needed for our stay and is less than 10 mins away from the station (choice of 2). The train to town couldn't be easier, less than 15 min. to London Bridge station. The bus to Greenwich is also easy and convenient.
The kitchen not only has an oven, gas stove, microwave and dishwasher but two huge refrigerators as well. A big plus for groups.
Included were clean linens and towels and a nice assortment of soaps and shampoos. There was plenty of warm water for
all of us to shower. A few minus points due to the fact that some of the beds were only standing on 3 legs instead of 4 and under these beds were some items left by previous guests. We were also surprised one morning to be awakend by cigarette smoke wafting in through the open windows. The patio is not marked as private and there was a complete stranger sitting there drinking his coffee and smoking.
But on the whole we found the beds, rooms and bath were clean and tidy. Plenty of plates, bowls, cutlery etc. The large kitchen table is where we spent most of our time, as well as the comfortable couches. The property is well looked after, the garden is well maintained and there was a painter doing some touch-up work outside during our stay.
Sue is quite friendly and was helpful getting us oriented. She was especially accomodating before our stay as we had some last-minute changes. Not every owner would have been as understanding! She was on-site some of the time and able to answer our questions. Her 2 dogs were with her and they are very friendly, quiet and well behaved.
The Riverview Park is a treat after being in town all day and after a jog you can stretch out on the sunny lawn. The kids enjoyed the pool in the late afternoon or after dinner. There's a Lidl less than 5 mins away where you can get most of your shopping done and the local markets nearer the station have loads of fresh produce to choose from.
We would recommend this unit for families and groups who don't mind the 10 min walk to the station and enjoy more space than being in town offers. We were 8 and it was spacious enough that we didn't feel cramped.
Would definitely come again!
The properties are family and pet friendly and the area is very well connected to the town of London, only 12 to 20 minutes by train to London Charing Cross and London Bridge but also very close to the stunning countryside, only 40 minutes to be in the middle of the Deer Park in the green Sevenoaks!
The beautiful English gardens, the fish pond, the aviary and the variety of plants and flower will enchant you, along with a stunning Greek-style heated swimming pool and a sauna will charm you.
