We stayed for one week and had a great time, easy access and great views.... home away from home... dinner in Luca and close to all the little towns in the region....great place to spend a week....
Highly recommended....
We had a wonderful stay at this villa. The setting is ideal - very private but close to great restaurants and Lucca, and easy day trips to Florence and Pisa. The pool was lovely to come home to after a long day of sight seeing. The layout of the home is ideal, with the primary suite on the first floor and the additional living space separate on the top two floors, giving everybody lots of room.
We had a fabulous 2 weeks at the property. Exactly what we were looking for - from the location, pool, property and dealings with the owner and the property manager, Philip (who was fantastic). Highly recommend it!
The location is just ideal for people wanting to visit Lucca. The view from the house is stunning in all directions. The house met our expectations. We were two 50+ year olds, and two 80+ year olds, mothers and daughters. There are two kitchens, though we used just one, on the middle level. There is no bathroom on the main living level, which means to use one you have to go up a flight, or down a flight. The lower level is accessed only via the outside stairs. For safety reasons for the 80+ year olds, we used the walk-in shower on the ground level only, as the bathtub on the top level (with the 3 bedrooms) has a rounded bottom and didn't feel safe for the 80+ year olds, but this is Italy, so it's to be expected. Leandro was very helpful and any need we had he or the caretakers were there to help us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For us, the weather wasn't as cooperative (Oct 5-12) as we had rain several of the days. It was too cold to enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting (for swimming in the pool or eating outside). In between rain showers we walked all over Lucca, enjoying the varieties of Pecorino cheeses. A deli down the hill, Bandini, provided a couple of salami/meat and cheese trays, great bread and the wonderful apple cake for which Lucca is known.
Wonderful cozy house, just as displayed in the pictures. Great location that is both private for chill time (very spacious and relaxing yard, fantastic pool) and proximate to Lucca, wine tasting and other site seeing. Leandro kept in touch before, during, and just before leaving to make sure we had everything we needed and was super helpful. Highly recommended!
Our stay at Collina Verde was most relaxing and comfortable. The daytime and nighttime views were absolutely breathtaking and enjoyed by everyone, they are etched in our minds forever. We had a fantastic stay and created great memories.
Thank you Leandro

The property had all the amenities that we required and the location was great to venture out to Pisa, Lucca and the other places in the hills. The property is very private, views are great and just right for the the family to relax. One to return to over the coming years as there is plenty left to explore.
Fantastic holiday for two families. House is perfectly set out so that each family has their own space. The pool and garden area is a great place to relax after visits to Lucca, Pisa and the beaches. The owner Leandro was always on hand to give recommendations for restaurants, places to see and arranged for a chef to come in for a couple of evenings. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and will be returning next summer ! Thank you Leandro
What can I say, this house was fantastic. The trip was excellent from start to finish. The owner was very accommodating and provided excellent recommendations on good restaurants in the area. I genuinely felt I was experiencing the local life. Beside going out for dinner we also stayed at the house, the kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a BBQ to grill your own food.
The location was ideal, offering us the Tuscan tranquil life.
Philip did a great job showing up around the house whilst keeping the place comfortable for our stay.
I would absolutely recommend this house, if you are looking for a great experience in Tuscan hills.
Had a fantastic week in a lovely property. It is in an idyllic location with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and hills. There was plenty of space for two families of four to have fun and relax. The gardens and location were so good that we only ventured into Lucca twice. The pool was in constant use. The property manager was very helpful and responsive to resolve a couple of minor questions. Local restaurant Duomo was superb and I would recommend booking for at least one meal there. Overall an excellent villa - we have stayed in many over the years and this was certainly the best.

Fabulous
In short words - if you can afford it, look no further! The owner and the property manager were both very helpful and provided a lot of useful information. The villa speaks for itself - well maintained, just a short drive from Lucca and Pisa airport, and equiped with a lot of stuff to keep you entertained during your stay. Plus breathtaking views over the city of Lucca. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, comfortable and relaxing
The views from the villa are stunning. It is clean, well-run and the pool and gardens are perfect to relax in. We had a lovely week. There are lots of thoughtful touches and properly laundered sheets and towels.
We could not have been happier. It was more beautiful than the pictures on the website. Casa Collina Verde was perfectly located in the hills above Luca with stunning views and surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. The villa was extremely clean and the grounds well cared for. The pool was almost brand new. The property manager Philip was helpful courteous and went far and beyond our expectations. He organized a private chef to cook for us amongst several other favours. We have travelled extensively all over the world and this was one of our best trips. We will be back. John and Michelle.
Perfect place to explore Tuscany or simply relax !
We have just enjoyed another wonderful week at this thoughtfully furnished holiday villa located on the Tuscan hills overlooking the spectacular Roman walled city, Lucca. This is our 3rd return to Casa Collina Verde and each time feels like the first.
This is the perfect place to escape for a few days and we have not yet been disappointed. The villa is so comfortable and the setting amongst olive groves cannot be surpassed. The owners have put a lot of thought into making it a home from home .
This area of Tuscany is rich in culture and fascinating places to visit. However for a relaxing break you don't really need to leave the villa - we spent most of our time in the warm summer sun relaxing around the large outdoor pool where the owners have recently added a pagoda folly providing a great place to read or snooze in the shade with a nice glass of chilled local wine.
We will certainly return to Casa Collina Verde again - next time we might even try 'out of season' when the pool is not so much of a draw as there is so much we have yet to explore in the area.
A very well appointed house with wonderful garden and pool and simply stunning views.
A fantastic week at this wonderful home. House contains everything you need and the pool and garden with such wonderful views made us reluctant to leave. Many thanks
After a steady gentle climb into the hills above Lucca we were stunned by the beauty that is Casa Collina Verde. Its position and homely charm gave way to a substantial holiday residence with everything we could have wished for, and more. As a party of four friends we loved the space inside and out with plenty of room for privacy. A morning dip in the swimming pool set us up for breakfasting on the terrace, which even in May was a very warm and sunny spot. We spent most evenings at home cooking food bought at the local Supermarket 20 minutes away and cooked in the well equipped kitchen. The birds in the day and lovely fireflies in the evenings entertained us as we sat on the terrace eating our meals.
We found driving into the hills and down to Lucca quite easy with the use of a satnav provided by the owner and internet access was good.
Eating out was also easy and we highly recommend Tuscan food and wine from the local vineyards.
Truly a beautiful and memorable holiday.
Simply a wonderful villa with breathtaking views !
The pictures really don't do it justice. The moment you pull into the drive at the front of the house you are taken away by the views. The location is simply beautiful. The house is immaculate and you can see the owners have thought about everything you might need and more. Even walkie talkies which my kids loved.
The booking process was slick and Leandro the owner was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had and Philip their property manager was a great asset to their operation.
We spent most of the time lazing by the pool which is large and well maintained. The garden was also well looked after.
We enjoyed the ping pong by the pool and had loads of BBQ's whilst there. There were plenty of local restaurants in the surrounding hills where I can honestly say we had some of the best food I've ever eaten and the local people were very friendly.
We visited Pisa and Florence which was about an one hour away. We went into Lucca several times which is a wonderful town.
There were plenty of local amenities just a few minutes away in the car with also a very large supermarket.
We all loved our holiday and will return. What a villa !
We stayed at Casa Collina Verde for a week in mid June.
This place is surrouded by coutry hillside and offers stunning panoramic views from each bedroom. Lucca is only a short 10-15 minutes drive away and there are also quite a few local resturants that do great local food/wines.
The private pool is a very good size and the expanse of gardens offers a great array of fruits such as lemons, figs, oranges, plums and much more.
Highly recommended for a lovely Tuscan holiday!
We spent 2 weeks at Casa Collina Verde. The villa and grounds were simply stunning and it is of an incredible standard. The photos on the website do not do it justice. The villa is a home from home, with everything you could possibly need. There are lots of little special touches from a pre-programmed sat nav (which was invaluable to us), laptop, Wi-Fi throughout the villa and grounds, and a welcome folder detailing lots of useful information about the villa and the surrounding area. Our 3 boys loved the large pool and grounds, and this is where we spent most of our time relaxing. The owners are very responsive to any questions you have by email, and the instructions to locate the villa from the airport, were extremely detailed and helpful. On arrival, we received a welcome pack, which was gratefully received, especially as we arrived very late at night, as it set us up for the morning. The villa is located high up in the hillside, so views from the grounds and every window in the villa are breathtaking. During our stay, Philip, the property manager, was extremely helpful in answering any further questions we had, and maintaining the villa to a high standard. The villa is situated perfectly, and during our stay we visited Lucca, Viareggio and Pisa. We hired a big estate car which made the first few trips up and down the last section of road to the villa a little daunting, however, we quickly became familiar with the stretch of road and subsequently made many trips, day and night without any concerns. The villa exceeded our expectations and we would definitely recommend this villa, and we look forward to returning again.

We are from and live in the UK, but have family in Lucca. After several years of searching for the right property we came across this country farmhouse. It had everything we were looking for, the fantastic views, tranquillity, great position, close to local amenities and Lucca. We fell in love with it instantly, though the house needed a little updating, so the renovations began.
We've spent as much time as we can over the past few years putting our own stamp on the house and have now become very attached to the property. Its now part of our soul and we like to spend as much time there as we can. We've attempted to make the house feel like a home from home.
