Jolie villa séparée avec piscine, beaux jardins et vue fantastique, sur les collines entre Lucca et Pise. La propriété (220m²) comporte 5 grandes chambres, 3 salles de bains, une spacieuse cuisine bien équipée, buanderie et un élégant salon menant à un patio et aux jardins. Très bien meublée et très confortable, avec toutes les commodités modernes. Un endroit idéal pour se détendre et jouir de la paix et de la tranquillité de la superbe campagne environnante. Très commodément située, c’est une excellente base de départ pour des excursions d’une journée vers la plupart des sites d’intérêt de Toscane, et c’est seulement à 30mn de la côte de Versilia

Villa la Magnolia: Cette jolie maison séparée au milieu des collines avec vue sur Lucca, est à 5min de marche des boutiques et du bar de la localité. Lucca est à environ 6km et les supermarchés à 4km. Dans les jardins, très bien entretenus, et le patio, des meubles de jardin et une longue table accueillant jusqu’à 16 personnes.


Lucca: La ville de Lucca est entièrement entourée de remparts et est pratiquement fermée au trafic. Passées les anciennes portes romaines, on se trouve transporté dans le passé. On peut se promener à pied ou en bicyclette le long des étroites et sinueuses ruelles pavées où les hauts édifices semblent se pencher les uns vers les autres pour se rejoindre dans le ciel. Il y a d’anciens palais, des musées et des églises, tous chargés d’histoire et de culture, et beaucoup de petites mais élégantes boutiques, des restaurants, des bars, des cinémas , le fameux Théâtre Giglio où les opéras de Verdi et Puccini font salle comble.

La province de Lucca: La campagne de Lucca offre quelques unes des vues les plus pittoresques d’Italie ; les antiques résidences d’été et les biens de la noblesse locale avec leurs jardins, vignobles et oliveraies, les anciennes fermes et les villages médiévaux sur les collines sont absolument uniques. Vers le Nord on trouve la station thermale de Bagni di Lucca avec la piscine thermale et de l’autre côté de la Rivière Serchio se trouve la ville de Borgo de Mozzano avec son fameux ‘’Pont du Diable’’. La région au Nord est connue sous le nom de Garfagnana et le paysage change progressivement, passant des collines couvertes de pins à un terrain plus montagneux.

Fantastic stay!

Had a wonderful 6 night stay at this lovely, spacious house with plenty of space for our group of 11. The house has amazing gardens with beautiful views and is in a lovely quiet location. We didn't want to drive and used the bus service from the village to go to Lucca, around a 15 mins journey. The host, Fiona, is fantastic and easy to communicate with. She is very helpful and even arranged for someone to come into the villa to cook a meal for the birthday celebration which was just lovely. All in all, a great time had by all. Definitely recommend.

Quaint traditional house with lovely pool and views of the hills

We had a great holiday here.The owner and host Fiona is half English and went out of her way to be helpful to our three generation family group. The house is not very modern - although bathrooms and kitchen are fine - and has a steep, narrow spiral staircase inside, with a traditional Tuscan outdoor staircase giving easier access to the bedrooms upstairs. The pool and garden are delightful, raised up with lovely views of the hills around Lucca. There is also a huge shaded outdoor dining table which we used all the time. No aircon, and we had above average temperatures in low 30s while we were there, so could get hot especially in bedrooms, but fans were provided and we could open windows shaded with shutters at cooler times. Fast (c.20 mins) 54 bus service to Lucca within 5 minutes walk every 40 minutes during the day - use the stop labelled Via del Brennero Circoscrizione - and less frequent E3 to Pisa (c.50 mins) from stop San Lorenzo Vaccoli. Both buses very cheap and reliable. Recommend dowloading the Autolinee Toscane app for timetables, directions and liveupdates. We absolutely loved Lucca, and there is lots to see and do there. Good transport connections to other places.

Excellent property, great location

We had a wonderful week in this villa which is spacious, peaceful with lovely gardens and beautiful views of Lucca, one of Italy's most attractive cities. The house and pool are excellent and the location is very hard to beat as it is less than 10 mins to Lucca and less than half an hour to Pisa and the beach. From Lucca it is only seven euros by train to Florence if you don't fancy driving. It is good to have a car, however, as the villa is also a great base for exploring the very beautiful Garfagnana area. Barga is worth a trip and is not far away. Mind you, you could spend a week in the villa and be very tempted not to move far as it is so peaceful and well equipped. We very much enjoyed eating our meals on the terrace and looking over the spires and domes of Lucca. Fantastic place and I would thoroughly recommend it. Eve Cameron and her husband, Angelo, could not have been more helpful and deserve praise for the upkeep of the lovely garden.

Great Location, Slightly Disappointing Interior

This is a lovely villa in a great village location, 10 minutes from Lucca and 20 minutes from Pisa. There's also an attractive beach resort 30 minutes away at Viareggio. The villa's gardens are very well-kept, and the swimming pool is generously sized. There are stunning views from the garden across the valley towards Lucca and the mountains. The downside is well described in the review by 'Lovelucca' below. The interior of the house has not had the same care as the exterior. There is a lot of old furniture and the kitchen was a bit musty. What's more, the oven didn't work properly - it took three hours to roast some potatoes - which was a bit of a problem given that we had small children and were confined to the house at dinner times. The hob and grill worked fine, though. Tips: the Esselunga on the way to Lucca is a very good supermarket; parking in Lucca is quite easy if you enter through Porta Elisa, where there's also a tourist information office; great restaurants in Lucca include Da Leo and Locanda di Bacco; and cycle rental in Lucca is very cheap and a great way to get around via the medieval ramparts.

In reply to this review I would like to point out that the kitchen was thoroghly cleaned before they arrived and that the oven is working perfectly and I did show them how to use it. If it was a problem they could have phoned us at any time and we would have come and sorted out the problem. They had all our telephone nos mobile and land line. As to the old furniture, this also is not true, there is a big difference in old furniture as stated and good quality 50's stile furniture, there is one dressing table in the twin bedroom which the top needs resurfacing but this is the only thing that can be said. The rest of the furniture is all in order. Maybe they are angry that we didn't supply the high chairs they asked for and I apolgise for this.

Fabulous holiday spot.

Delightful villa tucked away in a quiet village not far from Lucca, and a half hour drive from Pisa airport. Helpful and friendly owners, who responded very quickly to any queries, before and during our stay. The villa is an older style house, immaculately clean on our arrival. Fresh linen on very comfortable beds, beautifully soft towels - including towels to use poolside. The focal points for our stay were the pool and the dining table on the terrace - with fabulous views to the mountains and Lucca. Pool was clean and also cleaned midweek during our stay. It was a joy to return to after sightseeing! There ARE lots of mosquitoes - BUT we saw many tourists with multiple bites when we were out and about. So, not solely a fault of the villa and grounds, but an issue in the entire area. There were various insect repellent burners at the villa to be used in the evenings, but do go prepared. The internal stairs are a spiral staircase - not easy to negotiate for anyone with mobility issues. However, there is a downstairs bedroom/bathroom. Also, upstairs can be accessed by an external staircase. One of the bathrooms (of off the twin bedded room) has a bath with shower over - but no curtain/enclosure for the shower. So not practical to use as a shower - can be an issue if everyone likes to have a shower. The showers in the other two bathrooms were in good sized corner enclosures. Kitchen is well equipped. We didn’t find lots of shops in the village, but Lucca is only a 5-10 minute drive away and has quite a few supermarkets outside the city walls (Carrefour and Esselunga). If using Satnav/Google maps/Apple maps beware them trying to take you into the walled city if looking for Carrefour! The larger supermarkets are outside of the walled city. There is a very nice patisserie/gelateria about 2-3 minutes drive from the villa on the road to Lucca.

Relaxing San Lorenzo Vacoli

The photographs did not do the property justice. This is a lovely house. One review we read before going said it needed a little TLC and in terms of updating (getting rid of) floor mats, replacing cupboard liners, putting easy wipe covers on the two main tables and putting a curtain on one of the upstairs showers, it does. The oven was difficult to light and a sharp knife and larger frying pans would be an asset to the kitchen. The fans in bedrooms were a Godsend! The views spectacular. We have been taking family villa holidays for nearly fourteen years and we did not have to worry about living in a show house for two weeks so we could all really relax.This is so obviously a home and we hoped we respected it. The pool was brilliant as it was all one depth. The teenagers and children made very good use of it (bring your own pool toys). The gardens, view and generally situation of the house were beautiful. It was generally clean,towels for pool and bathrooms were provided as were sheets. TV channels are limited. You really need a car to get groceries. The local mini-market was closed until September so it was Lucca for food shopping- local taxi drivers grumped about taking us back to the house with shopping. Buses are cheap and easy to access to Lucca but shopping for ten people necessitated several grocery trips there. Bus stops are signs and little else. It was a bit hairy crossing the busy roads to catch buses.The local butcher had good meat and supplied milk/eggs/water. There is a pizzeria within ten minute walking distance and the food is magnificent!! However some of our party have difficulty walking and so we only went once. A car is a necessity here. One of the best things about this rental was Fiona and her father Angelo. Angelo checked the pool/garden everyday and kept an eye on how the rubbish was organised. He was friendly, helpful yet unobtrusive. Fiona rescued us twice, she very kindly picked two of us up from the supermarket after working all day and she also arranged for transport from Florence when another two of us were directed onto the wrong train from Rome. She and Angelo offered to take us anywhere we wanted to go but we did not want to intrude. A family friend, Lorenzo, also gave us a lift to Lucca. Rosey fixed the washing machine and Fiona arranged our pick up and returns from Pisa- again a very kind lady. Highly reccomend this home! Super séjour

La maison est spacieuse et la piscine clos. Nous étions 6 adultes et 6 enfants entre 6 et 15 ans. Les chambres sont spacieuses, un WC dans chaque salle de bain. La maison est bien équipé. La propriétaire est adorable et à l’écoute. Je recommande les yeux fermées. Petit café en bas pour les petits dej, en plus d’être délicieux, le personnel est très agréable.

Heerlijk verblijf op een toplocatie

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Villa la Magnolia. Alles is aanwezig, bestek, keukengerei en ook beddengoed en badlinnen. Het was heerlijk weer, daarom hebben we dagelijks het zwembad gebruikt. Het was zeer geslaagd.

We hadden een fantastische vakantie in het mooie Lucca. Perfecte ligging van de accommodatie....gastvrije host. Het huis was in orde.Leuk zwembad, afgesloten tuin. De hond had het er naar zijn zin. Jammer van de muggen. Heel vriendelijke slager in de buurt. Het restaurant op wandelafstand was ook in orde.

Vi ankom meget sent aften og møder et hus uden opvarmning, ingen dyner, kun lagener og tæpper. Ved gennemgang af huset dagen efter må vi konstatere at huset på ingen måde matcher billederne. Alt er meget slidt og ødelagt, pletter på hynder og puder. Eneste positive var at værten var meget forstående og hurtigt tilbød at vi kunne få pengene tilbage hvis vi fandt noget andet. Vi havde kun en nat i huset, som vi aldrig glemmer.

Vellykket familieferien i Toscana

Wij hebben met 6 tieners en 6 volwassenen twee weken in het huis geslapen. Prachtig uitzicht, mooie tuin, heerlijk zwembad, ruime kamers en genoeg badkamers. De kwaliteit van de keuken vonden wij iets minder. De oven werkte niet goed, koelkast sloot niet goed en de vaatwasser ging kapot. Gelukkig is dit laatste snel opgelost. Communicatie met Fiona verliep snel en soepel.

Omas 60ster Geburtstag!

Heute sind wir von unserem einwöchigen Urlaub zurück gekommen 😌 8 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder ( 10 M.,15 M, 3J,5J) Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist wirklich hervorragend! Man ist schnell in Lucca und Pisa Das Haus bietet reichlich Platz und ist mit dem sicher eingezäunten Pool sehr gut für Familien mit Kindern geeignet! Pool wurde täglich gereinigt😌Ansonsten war Fiona immer zu erreichen und die Verständigung ( auf Englisch) hervorragend! Sie hat sich kompetent aber unkompliziert und freundlich gekümmert. Das Haus ist an mancher Stelle schon etwas „in die Jahre“ gekommen. Aber die Räume werden nach und nach optimiert! 😌 Zusätzliche Eurostecker wären sinnvoll gewesen ( kann man ja mitnehmen) Waschmaschine und Spülmaschine sind top und Gold wert😌 Alles in allem hat dieses Ferienhaus ein gutes ,solides Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und ist wirklich zu empfehlen!

Lage top- ist war keine Alleinlage und die Nachbarn sind auch nicht immer leise aber trotzdem schön gelegen und Lucca/Pisa/Meer alles easy zu erreichen. Betreuung vor Ort Top, Objekt könnte aber eine Renovierung vertragen. Über eine Klimaanlage sollte man auch nachdenken.

Bra för en stor familj

Ett fint hus för en stor familj! Bussförbindelser finns men går inte så ofta. Det är bra att ha tillgång till en bil under vistelsen. Mycket vänlig och tillmötesgående värd!

Wundervolle Lage und Aussicht

Trotz des Hauses, welches in die Jahre gekommen ist, ist es perfekt für Familien. Ausreichend Zimmer gibt es. Geschlossenes Areal, großer Tisch und sehr schöner Pool😃👍. Ausreichend Geschirr in der Küche. Und eine sehr freundliche Vermieterin, Fiona.

Schönes, aber renovierungsbedürftiges Haus

Wir haben eine schöne Woche in Lucca verbracht und wurden nett von Fiona empfangen. Das Grundstück ist sehr schön und groß. Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz, ist jedoch schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. In einem Bad war leider Schimmel. Die Ausstattung war gut. Enttäuschend war allerdings der Pool, der sehr sanierungsbedüftig ist. Er war allerdings sauber, da er regelmäßig gereinigt wurde. Die Fotos in der Anzeige sind scheinbar schon recht alt, denn er sieht bei weitem nicht mehr so schön aus wie damals. Darüberhinaus auch nicht ganz ungefährlich- gerade für Kinder - wegen der wackeligen Poolumrandung und kaputten Platten rund um den Pool.

our family moved from London to Lucca in order to enjoy the benefits of the lovely area of Tuscany and the excellent position we are in enables us to go back and forth to London so easily. We enjoy country life whilst living within easy reach of major towns like Florence, Pisa and Siena. It' fantastic and now the children are grown up having studied a bit in England and a bit here and have the advantage of being bilingual.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The property is ideally situated in the hills between Lucca and Pisa, 30 mins from Pisa airport having the quiet and peace of the countryside, We live a a large comfortable house surrounded by fields and in a private road just 2 mins walk above the village where we can get everything we need. It is also near the motorway entrance if we wish to go travelling around the country

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

large pretty garden with lawns and flower beds with beautiful magnolia tree. fantastic views over the plain of Lucca with hills and mountains in the distance. very easy reach of the coast at versilia. large comfortable rooms. Supper - barbecue sitting round the very large table enjoying the cool evening breeze while enjoying the views with all the lights from the lain below. Fantastic.
