Sehr schön eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht.
My partner and I are unseasoned travelers, having never been abroad. This little treasure of a gite was off the beaten path, outside a small village within walking distance. John readily made himself available, picking us up at the train station, taking us to the car rental place, giving us a tour of Grans, and even rescuing us when we got lost on our first foray to the market, and all with grace and good humor. He explained all that we needed to know about the gite, more than once. The gite itself was a cozy little place to spend a peaceful week. It was clean, nicely decorated, very comfortable. We threatened to never leave. Once we met Susan, that urge deepened even more. This is a lovely, gracious couple who softened the realities of acclimating to new culture.
We will never forget you, nor Lilly & Abby, your frequent visitor cats who also made Le Cabanon feel like home.
We stayed here in May for a short break. The Gite was just as described,it was small but cosy and had everything provided. The hosts Susan and John were excellent and were always on hand if needed.Providing bikes was an excellent idea as we did not hire a car it allowed us to explore the surrounding area.Would highly recommend this Gite and would definately go back again
We are John & Susan and came to live and work in France 12 years ago. It was always our dream to live in the South of France and to have a gite, so we are very happy to have realised our dream and we are delighted to be able to share this fabulous part of France and our beautiful garden and pool with our holiday guests! We are always happy to provide advice and recommendations for places to visit, eat and drink.
We have lived in Grans since we arrived in France 12 years ago and when we had the opportunity to buy a house we waited a long time to find the house of our dreams in the village that we love! Grans is a typical Provencal village which is completely self contained with a lively village life including several fairs, festivals and local celebrations. We are situated 1.5 km from the village centre and 3 minutes walk from the beautiful Parc de la Fontaine Marie Rose.
The village is perfectly situated for visiting all of Provence, there is just too much to see and never enough time! A lot of our guests come back year after year as they don't find the time to visit all the sights when the temptation is to soak up the peace, seclusion and beauty lying on a sun lounger next to the pool. Le Cabanon is completely independent and is the only gite on the property.
