LE GÎTE BORD DE MER SUR L'ÎLE DAUFUSKIE

Ce magnifique chalet de deux chambres a tout pour plaire! Situé directement sur la plage avec une vue imprenable sur l'océan, votre maison de vacances bénéficie d'un emplacement imbattable. Vous serez à une minute à pied de la plage.

Chaque équipement moderne est disponible, notamment une télévision à écran plat dans chaque chambre, des chaînes câblées premium Direct TV, une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite et une cuisine entièrement équipée.

Les invités 2019 recevront également une voiturette de golf gratuite pour 4 personnes.

Jusqu'à 6 locataires pourront utiliser la piscine Melrose à proximité (à distance de marche) sans frais, grâce à votre propriétaire.

Le chalet lui-même est parfait pour des vacances en famille, pour des vacances de golfeurs ou tout simplement pour une réunion d'amis à l'ancienne. D'une superficie totale de 1 500 pieds carrés (sans compter la véranda avec moustiquaire face à l'océan), les deux chambres spacieuses ont chacune deux lits queen-size et une salle de bains privative. Ce chalet lumineux et bien éclairé a un plan d'étage fluide et ouvert offrant à tout le monde une vue sur l'océan à tout moment. La décoration est de bon goût et reposante, et le porche grillagé est parfait pour profiter d'un lever de soleil sur l'océan tout en sirotant votre café du matin ou en dégustant un cocktail de fin de journée.

De nombreux visiteurs aiment visiter l'île à vélo, qui sont disponibles à la location, tout en faisant simplement de longues promenades.

La faune est abondante et à couper le souffle. Vous serez à proximité du site d'une grande colonie d'aigrettes blanches et de cigognes en bois, où vous verrez des centaines de ces oiseaux gracieux s'installer pour la nuit. Un nid de pygargues à tête blanche d'Amérique peut parfois être repéré, et de temps en temps les visiteurs vigilants peuvent en fait apercevoir une tortue caouanne qui vient à terre pour pondre des centaines d'œufs dans le sable mou.

L'ILE

La plupart de nos visiteurs prennent également le temps de découvrir le reste de cette île spéciale. Ceux qui réalisent rapidement qu'ils ont découvert un joyau insulaire caché à quelques minutes en bateau du continent. Calme, décontracté et unique, le beau Daufuskie est décrit par les anciens comme similaire à Hilton Head avant un pont reliant cette île au continent. (Le slogan officieux de Daufuskie est 'No Bridge? Aucun problème!')

We had such a lovely time getting to know Daufuskie Island. The house is in an excellent location and waking up to the beach was a dream come true. Every question we had-everything we needed-was taken care of quickly and kindly. It was a wonderful vacation.

Doggie and me!

This was the nicest little vaca. We enjoyed the beach and the island. The folks are so friendly and dog friendly! The cottage was so cute and the location was great! Very comfy and cozy! Everyone made arrangements easy from the ferry over to the island to the golf cart rental. Transport from cottage to dock was not up to par.

Wonderful Adventure!

This was our first time on Daufuskie Island and it did not disappoint! There were a lot of pieces to put together in order to ensure we had a successful vacation but every step of the way someone was available and willing to help us with any questions we had or suggestions for us! Pay attention to all the information you receive. There are a lot of instructions to follow, times to take note of, schedules to adhere to, and packing to be done but trust me they told me everything to consider along the way, and had I not done so our vacation would not have been nice as it was! We fell in love with this island, the beach, the trees, the quietness, the people everything about it. Our home was very comfortable and in a great location! Even after exploring the entire island, I think I would still choose to come back to these rentals. I loved being steps away from the beach. I loved the outdoor shower to rinse off sand too! There are a few properties still being worked on but I'm excited to see the progress next time we visit. I hope the pool and restaurant will have new owners by then and be available. I can see that being a major advantage to staying on Daufuskie! I contacted the property manager and his group many times during my stay with everything from a medical issue to where could I buy a flashlight and received a very kind prompt response every time. This is a wonderful team to work with and a great location to stay. We cannot wait to visit again!

Relaxing and calm

Our cottage was just as presented, very clean and appealing. Set up w several spices and lots of good quality utensils in the kitchen. The yard and beach area we perfect for walks and sunbathing. My daughter and daughter-in-law and myself thoroughly enjoyed our time together at the cottage and our travels about the island on our golf cart. The arrangements to and from the island were seem less. Captain Dan was wonderful to work with. Communication with the management was timely and efficient.

Daufuskie delight

The cottage was perfect and as described in pictures on vrbo. We had no issues with the Seaside Cottage. Perfect for two couples. Beach just steps away! Lovely place to unwind and relax with friends. Sad the pool and restaurant was closed but understand it was due to the resort being recently purchased . We are hoping the transition with the resort will go well for the Island and her resident. Everyone was very kind and hospitable…:). Thank you, Daufuskie.💕

We have been going to Daufuskie since the 80's. My parents used to live there half the year. The cottage was great but the fact that the people I was supposed to contact had "stepped back" or were no longer with the company, was a problem. I contacted DRG not vice versa. I know daufuskie well but to advertise a pool and add a disclaimer is not acceptable. Price adjustments should be made and stop advertising a pool.

Beach cottage on spring break

This cottage is GORGEOUS! It was very clean and had every amenity you could think of! The property manager was very responsive and helped out with check in and questions in a timely manner. So impressed with the location to the beach and the beautiful quiet secluded beach! We will definitely be staying here again! Thank you for an amazing spring break!

Seaside Heaven

Cathie is the most gracious helpful host any visitor can ask for! We had a personal issue and had to get something on the island and Cathie went out of her way and was beyond helpful in making it happen. The house is so welcoming, warm and immaculate. It met all our needs and more. Having a cup of coffee in the screened in porch watching the sunrise was one of my favorite parts of the day! Thank you, Cathie and Seaside, see you real soon! Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay in Daufuskie. The cottage has a beautiful view of and direct access to the beach. This is the spot to watch the amazing sunrises on Daufuskie. The cottage was clean and well-stocked . Would definitely return!

Such a wonderful holiday weekend. The home had all the amenities needed for our Thanksgiving. Very comfortable and relaxing. Deborah and her team were very accommodating and pleasant.

Best views and shortest wall you can get to a beach!

Beach is literally a 1 minute walk. Can’t get better access than this. Very responsive property manager. Gorgeous, quiet beach and sand bar. Used May River Excursions for water taxi and highly recommend them. Lucy B’s was the best dining on the option but is only for lunch W-Sa. You must order by 11:30 or you risk missing out on their fabulous seafood and deviled crabs! They do have a great burger too. Go early to produce and seafood stand on Saturdays. Coffee at schoolhouse is excellent.

Ladies- An Annual Trip to this Cottage!!

This was more than a vacation; it was an experience!! The property manager provided detail information for transportation to and from the island; #livewelllearnwellinkwell was our inspiration for having fun, relaxation as we explored our history and enjoyed God’s land and ocean!! A must trip!!This cottage is beautifully decorated!!

South Carolina's hidden gem

We absolutely loved our stay on Dafuskie! It's peaceful and relaxing and just what our family needed to relax and unwind. The cottage was beautiful and had everything you needed in the kitchen. There was a cabana to take to the beach, which was very nice. The property manager, Cathie, stayed in contact to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our stay. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing vacation

This location is very relaxing. Steps from the beach. House is perfect for a family. Beach is very private and not populated. Debrah gave us tons of information that prepared us for our week on the beach.

Best Beach Vacation Ever!

I do not typically take time to review, good or bad, however, this has been an amazing trip. The home was beautiful, clean and spacious. The check in process was easy and the property manager called upon arrival to provide "tips" for around the island. If you are looking for clean, quiet and relaxing beaches, this is the place to be!

Wonderful oasis

My wife and I just returned from a week at this wonderful property on Daufuskie Island. This was out first time on the island, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. From the beginning of our booking, we received great communication from Deborah and her staff. This included what to expect, how to prepare, what ferry and transit services to use, and some information about the island. The house is wonderful. It is well appointed with art from local artists (Iron Fish), tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. We cooked all of our meals but one and we never had to worry about having all that we needed to efficiently cook. When we arrived, we were greeted by Blaine and Sherry, the cleaning supervisors, and they were so kind to help us with our luggage and spent some time telling us about the island and showing us around the house to get us settled. Our favorite spot was on the back porch. It was our oasis for the week. You can sit and watch the sunrise, hear the ocean waves and feel the cooling breeze. You can step outside the porch and be on the beach in less than a minute. Also, the complimentary golf cart was so nice to have...it’s a must for getting around the island. And we will say, the island is just perfect to get away to enjoy some peace and quiet. We travel a lot and had not had a vacation since Sept 2019 due to COVID-19. We needed a place that was safe, yet provided us a respite to refocus and have some down time. Daufuskie is filled with the kindest people. Everywhere we stopped, people talked and offered their friendship. Mike and Rhonda at Indigo Blues, Bryan at School Grounds Coffee, the staff at Lucy Bell’s, the owner of the new D’Fuskies General Store....all so kind and welcoming. The Melrose area is just beautiful with all of the Oaks with Spanish Moss. The egret refuge was one of our favorite places to stop on the way into “town” to watch and listen to the birds. We even saw some gators swimming around. We ventured over the entire island and loved it all. The beach at Bloody Point is a must do for everyone. The beach is expansive, clean, and was barely populated...you can walk and walk and feel like you’re on your own island. We had a wonderful stay and will most likely revisit the island for another week or so in the near future. Many thanks to Deb and her staff for making this house available. It was just what we needed.

Great cottage on what felt like a private beach

We loved the experience renting this unit for our family. The house was clean and we really appreciated the local artwork that hung on the walls. Loved visiting the beach and all the local establishments. Daufuskie is very special- we’ll be back.
