Au cœur du marché historique de l'Est, une maison en rangée qui faisait partie de la visite de la restauration historique n'attendait que vous et votre famille! L'une des rares maisons en rangée qui ont été complètement modernisées tout en conservant le charme fédéral ancien, elle sera confortable et exactement ce que vous recherchez lorsque vous visitez le Capitole des Nations. À quelques pas du métro, des magasins et restaurants de Barracks Row, du stade Nationals et du Capitole lui-même, cet endroit est imbattable! Avons-nous également mentionné que nous avons un jardin? La plupart des maisons ne sont pas assez grandes sur la colline pour un barbecue en plein air. Alors, prenez vos courses pour la semaine dans les deux épiceries (Safeway et Harris Teeter) et économisez de l'argent pendant que vous êtes ici. Nous avons également un système d'alarme et un bricoleur disponibles 24/7 si vous avez besoin d'aide.

This was one of the most special properties we’ve stayed in. Such a gem! We loved the historical charm of the home and the location was perfect. We walked to several different coffee shops, bakeries and Trader Joe’s. We were walking distance to the Capital Building. This home is just lovely - we felt as though we were staying in a museum. Thank you for such a memorable and comfortable stay for our family of six.

We had an amazing stay here in DC. The location was absolutely perfect and made it easy to explore the city while still feeling comfortable and relaxed at the house. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully prepared, and the hosts clearly put effort into making our stay feel welcoming and special.The house itself added so much to the experience. The theater room in the basement was a huge hit with our family and made the trip even more fun. We also loved spending time in the backyard, which was peaceful and relaxing after long days exploring the city. The neighborhood felt safe, charming, and full of character.We truly loved our time here and plan to absolutely stay again.

This place is fantastic! The hosts are amazing! The home is beautiful. The location is great. 10 out of 10 for sure. The house may be over 150 years old, but it does not look it, and it has all the modern conveniences one would expect (and more). The house is oozing with charm and character that you will not find anywhere else. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We had a wonderful stay. The hosts are amazing, super chill, and so very helpful. Probably the nicest hosts I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Next time we go to DC we will definitely be staying here again.

Kitchen was great for preparing all kinds of meals. Nice sleeping accommodations. Location was superb. Close to grocery stores, metro, and restaurants. Using Uber/Lyft or just plain walking was a breeze.

This property is in a great location for visiting the many attractions along the Mall. We definitely appreciated all the work the hosts put in to make the house extremely charming and fun to stay in. Spotlessly clean. Lovely garden and patio. Locks could be a bit wonky but it's an antique house so slight imperfections are not unexpected. The "man cave" in the basement with the projection TV was a big hit, although what you can watch is seemed to be a bit limited to Apple TV, there is no Roku or smart TV that we could tell. Directions to things inside the house were generally lacking, but the hosts were super responsive if we had questions. Street parking was relatively easy although spots directly in front of the house were not a guarantee. Parking permitting was a breeze with the hosts handling everything once we provided vehicle info. Kitchen was extraordinarily well stocked with good kitchen knives, plastic bags, aluminum foil, real wood cutting boards, and very nice copper pans in great condition. We did have to purchase a few essentials that had run out, but quite minor compared to how much was available for our use. Walking distance to Trader Joe's and 5 minute drive to Safeway with free parking garage. Really hated having to leave. I would definitely like to stay again in the future. Highly recommend.

We had the very best time on our trip! This house far exceed our expectations and was truly one of the highlights of our trip as it was a treasure trove of history in and of itself. We had the loveliest time staying in your home! We were in town for a wedding, and this was the perfect spot for base camp, winding down with family, and enjoying the beautiful DC area. Just loved the character of the home, well-appointed and modern, and also full of history and old charm. Home was exactly as described and the owners were very helpful and responsive. Charming historic Capitol Hill home with lots of character and a great location. However, several things impacted our stay: allergy flare-ups due to past cat presence (not disclosed), a leaking air mattress, worn bedding, and only one parking pass for a multi-bedroom rental. Some appliance instructions would also help. With better transparency and small upgrades, this could be a great stay.

PERFECT!!!!

It was truly a delight to stay at this property!!! We stayed there for the week of our daughter's wedding and it could not have been more perfect! The location is fabulous, the house was very homey and wonderful for our family time together, and the hosts were incredibly gracious. The parking permit they provided made our stay extra convenient. The property is beautiful and functional. We utilized the indoor and outdoor space and both were delightful! We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself!

This Capitol Hill home was perfection for location: steps from the metro, parking for our rental, and a quick stroll from Eastern market made it so convenient. The house had all the luxuries you want away from home-a nice selection of pillows, cozy bedding, hot showers with great water pressure, a well appointed kitchen, and immaculate design and decor. Our family of 6 fit perfectly and the neighborhood felt quite safe while out walking with our children. Lovely outdoor areas were enjoyable day and night with a friendly cat who checked in occasionally. Despite the Smithsonian being shutdown, the eclectic decor and history of this home made it feel like a mini museum that has been carefully curated. The owners were great to work with and very communicative.
The kitchen had everything we needed.

great location

very roomy place for a major city- housed all 10 of us! Comfortable and nice! This is right in Eastern Market- a total hidden gem in the DC area, and easy access to the rest of the city! Great spot!

Historic DC home

This is beautiful home! Large, comfortable rooms. Kitchen is awesome with lots of high end amenities. Kids loved the basement with the big TV. Perfect location to relax after a day in DC. The walk to the closest metro was .4 miles

Beautiful and comfortable home in very central part of Capital Hill

We were three adults and two children enjoying all that DC has to offer. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating. The property couldn’t be more beautiful and is clearly restored with love. The location made it easy for us to see anything we wanted to with minimal travel time. The kitchen and accommodations also made it easy for us to cook in and enjoy family time after a long day of seeing the sights. We thoroughly enjoyed and plan to return again.

Beautiful property. Great location, centrally located. A little tight for 10 people, specially since there was no closet space for guest to use as they were all full with owner's belongings. Was worried we would accidentally break some of the decorations as the house had them all over the house (very pretty, though). Overall a great experience.
