Cottage bien entretenu / bien aimé - à 3 minutes de la plage!

Les clients adorent notre chalet de plage de style nantucket rénové et mis à jour! Venez profiter d'une escapade de vacances propre et soigneusement décorée. Nos porches, tapis, salles de bains, climatisation centrale, ont tous été récemment mis à jour en 2013. Nous avons ajouté un accès Wi-Fi, des téléviseurs Roku et à écran plat. Nous venons de mettre à jour tous les meubles den, y compris un nouveau canapé. Profitez de la préparation d'un dîner de fruits de mer locaux dans la cuisine rénovée et mangez sur notre nouvelle véranda grillagée. Dormez 8 confortablement dans 3 chambres dont 2 lits queen size, lits superposés avec un lit simple et double, et lit simple, 2 salles de bains et douche extérieure. Un hamac sous un chêne vivant, une balançoire de véranda et des rockers attendent votre lecture d'été.

Nous sommes à quelques pâtés de maisons de la plage et à 1, 7 miles du Sanderling Inn et à seulement 2, 2 miles du village de Duck, NC. Un emplacement idéal pour les mariages, les lunes de miel et les réunions de famille, nos plages OBX ont été classées n ° 1 par US Travel. Pour rendre votre visite plus agréable, nous louons du dimanche au dimanche pendant la saison estivale, pour éviter le changement de blocage.

Lovely home

The property was awesome The only issue was the neighbor across the street She made it very clear she did not care for renters and felt they did not clean up after their pets! We were clearly cleaning up after our pet, poop bags in hand, she was not a friendly person! We loved the property and it was very clean! Owners were easy to contact as well.

Clean cozy house, close the beach. Good for small family. Some layout issues and the neighbors broken down cars and boats on the lawn diminish the 'vibe' but overall a decent stay.

A Happy step back in time!

Just like the casual lake cottage of my youth, this house has a rustic laid back vibe. Surprisingly babies that needed naps, tweens, teen and adults had plenty of space to get away from each other. The screened porch was always in use, the neighborhood was very sweet, wonderful neighbors, lovely uncrowded beach. Everyone came home happy.

Great home away from home!

This was indeed a well loved cottage—nothing like the new large flashy homes you find everywhere—but it provided everything my family needed for our week in the Outer Banks. Everyone had his or her own bed, and the children had their own full bath upstairs while my husband and I had our own en suite downstairs. The main floor was bright with many large windows which was very nice. The table was large enough to accommodate five comfortably (which is something you don’t always find!). The kitchen was fully equipped and the fridge space ample. The towels and linens provided were a big plus. There were extra goodies for taking to the beach—which was truly a three minute walk WITHOUT having to cross a busy road. The neighborhood is QUIET!! You do not feel like you are in a resort town, even though you are right off the main road with Duck right there. Its overall location was great. I cannot recommend enough!

Quiet and Relaxing

Lovely neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Our pups enjoyed the yard and all the critters that visited at night. Short walk to the beach and tons of restaurants within 20 minutes.

Stay at Odd Duck Inn

As a group of four adults (one couple and two single adults), this was our seventh summer renting vacation homes in Duck. Upon arrival to the Odd Duck Inn, we were surprised to find the third of three bedrooms was in fact an open-air, non-private space outside a full bedroom with unsuitable mattresses for adult sleeping. As a result, we did need to secure alternative lodging for one adult in our group. Todd issued a 10% discount for the inconvenience, has updated the VRBO description to reflect the sleeping arrangements more accurately, and indicated a new mattress for the double bunk bed is on order. If you are only in need of two private bedrooms with additional bunk beds, then this rental will work for you. The kitchen is well stocked, the screened in porch is lovely, the two private bedrooms are comfortable, and it is a short easy walk to the beach.

Perfect OBX week!

We are a family of 5 plus two dogs and we just got back from a wonderful stay at the Odd Duck Inn. We had the perfect OBX week. The cottage was cozy, clean, and charming. The beach was a 3 minute walk and we were centrally located to so many great things to do. Todd was responsive, easy to work with, and the check in/check out directions were crystal clear. We had a wonderful vacation!

Nantucket Home in Warm friendly Duck

We loved this house and hated to leave! It was more adorable in real life! Very handy outside shower (wash the dogs!) We grilled everyday and had a lobster feast to honor New England style. Lovely screened in porch& decks. We loved this neighborhood. Played tennis at Pine Island, 10 minutes down the road. People are so friendly! Ocean was warm, beach around the corner! We will return.

Duck Adventure

The only concern was the neighbors across the road with so many vehicles and the dog although contained did make us a little uncomfortable. The mattresses could be updated. The location was great though.

Chill beach getaway

Beautiful beach home with all you would need. Not over the top or showy but perfect for quiet relaxation and fun. The screened in porch was a perfect hangout spot with a table for dining and a porch swing. Short walk to a wonderful private beach. We loved every minute of our stay at the Odd Duck Inn!

Great location and very clean house.

Perfect walk to the beach and the bay. House was super clean and the perfect lay out for my family (husband and 2 kids under 6). Very close to all the shops in Duck that we hiked to a few times. Also a nice drive up to Corolla as well.

Great family getaway

The Odd Duck In was perfect for our family of four. The house was immaculate and well stocked with the essentials. Our favorite part was the screened in porch and the kids loved the pirate themed bunk bed. Todd was super helpful with our questions and checkin was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

Picked bad week to stay

Pros Kitchen well equipped Close proximity to beach Outdoor shower a plus Internet good Great restaurants nearby….close to town Great neighborhood…..friendly people Pet friendly Cons No cable….didn’t really need while on vacation….except at night Cobwebs in lamps in bedroom Spiders….lots on back porch ceiling at check-in ….sprayed with Labeled solution on top of frig…..then subsided after 2days Bathroom…..loaded with small black ants around sick. Under control after 3 days with liquid ant trap Neighbor across street…had septic issues…. Front yard on the rental property was flooded for 3 days….could not use. Did not want to use after it dried up. Septic pumper truck came Friday afternoon Neighbor on corner really flooded most of week….smelled like sewer. Not pleasant to walk to beach

Cozy beach cottage

We loved our stay at the Odd Duck Inn! The location is AMAZING! Great neighborhood! The beach access is just a two minute walk down the road. There is so much to do within short drive or bike ride. There were alot of bugs and spiders, mostly outside. Honestly had a 10/10 vacation in Duck!

Our small family had a very nice and relaxing time here. It rained most of the week so part of the front lawn/road was flooded, but the house had all the necessities and comforts we needed. It's a very short walk to the beach and short drive to main Duck restaurants/shops/attractions. Owners are very responsive and neighbors very friendly. We hope to be back again.

We love Duck for the wonderful people, and the unforgettable beauty of the sound, sea, and maritime woodlands. We have spent many summers at this cottage and are happy to give you tips on where and what to enjoy in the area. Ask us about our favorite walking paths, the hidden ship wreck, and favorite coffee houses!

More modest than an ocean front rental, but more than your average beach box, this cottage is perfect for a family that is looking for a home away from home experience. Newly remodeled, the Nantucket style exterior just says 'relax.' Throughout the downstairs warm cypress paneling welcomes you and your family inside while the new screened in porch is perfect for resting between trips to the beach, sound, shopping, or bike path. Updated with new AC, the cottage is also designed to capture the summer breezes from all directions and with two sun decks, swing, picnic tables, and more. There are plenty of places to enjoy family, or a good book, in the out of doors.
