The location was excellent along with the on-site amenities. We enjoyed the seclusion and drive to and from the cabin. Place was everything we needed to enjoy our sons trip to Cooperstown.
Upon rolling into the property, it very lovely heavily wooded are. The cabin was very nice, small, but really well though out. Nice screened in deck, can sit quietly and listen for the animal russelling in the woods
My family and I stayed in Cottage #2 for the weekend while our daughter graduated from Oneonta. It was under 20-minutes to get to Oneonta, and the ride was unbelievably picturesque. The cottage was super clean, well-stocked, and had a great porch attached to the cottage. Check-in was easy, and we took advantage of the firepit at night. We had a great weekend!
A fantastic place to stay if visiting the Cooperstown area. Felt just like a cozy time share. Clean and comfortable beds. Main bedroom has plenty of closet space and a TV, also a cool loft sleeping area that the kids loved. Full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot and dishes. Living room area has a futon and another TV. It rained while we were there so we enjoyed the screen porch more than the fire pits. Nice quiet location and only few minutes from downtown Cooperstown or Brewery Ommegang only. Highly recommend.
After a couple of horrible experiences with the "other" person-to-person rental service (bed bugs, insert parts and mouse poop on and/or in beds) my main question was, "Does the owner check the mattress(es) thoroughly after each stay, and is ALL bedding washed (sheets, pillowcases AND blankets/comforters)?" Chrissy answered my inquiry in a kind and reassuring way, and I'm happy to report that her caring and attentive manner showed in how nicely the property presented.
Exactly what we needed for our family of 4. Quiet, secluded space with plenty of room for the kids to run. Looking forward to our next trip to Cooperstown and a stay here at the Old World Village.
Totally loved staying here! Loved being away from the typical hotels!
My family and I fully enjoyed our stay. The quietness of the woods and being away from civilization is always a treat. It was a comfy and cozy cabin just perfect for our family. We would definitely do it again!
Cute small cottage that was enough for my families needs during out sons visit to Cooperstown All Star Village. This cottage is remote but just 20 minutes from CASV where we needed to be every day. Easy to find and get back and forth from the park. There is a cute Kayak rental place located 4 minutes away and in the little spare time we had away from baseball we were able to easily rent and launch kayaks right at the location.
The description is honest in that the cottage is small, but we spent very little time in the cottage and it was enough room to fit a family of four. The owner was very helpful and responsive to my questions, needs and requests. There is a washer and dryer in a small shed right next to the cottage that we used to wash uniforms when needed. There are three cottages close to each other and a big fire pit in the middle for multiple families to use if they were renting together.
My two suggestions for improvement would be the following:
The master bedroom bed was on the hard side and pretty uncomfortable.
The shower drain doesn't drain well and the base would fill up with water. Fine for most but for clean freaks like me a bit of an issue. Not enough to complain but would look into it if possible.
Thanks for a great week NY!
This property was located close to both All Star Village and Dreams Park, yet far enough out of town to be quiet and give you a little break from the field. It was clean, and well maintained. The owner was very friendly and we overall had a very enjoyable visit.
We rented all of the cabins and the chalet for a family compound. The facilities were clean & well maintained. Each of the cabins were sufficient to house four adults. Although the ceiling height is low in the loft, you'll only hit your head once before you figure it out. Let's face it-if you're visiting for the CDP experience-you'll be spending very little time at your selected housing. This place has an amazingly large fire pit (perfect for cool summer evenings) and each of the cabins have screened porches (my favorite space). You'll be glad that you stayed here. The owner was super easy to work with and very accommodating.
We went to Cooperstown for our son's baseball tournament. This cabin was a perfect fit for our needs. It is only 15 minutes away from the Dreams Park. Located on a quiet and peaceful wooded lot. We enjoyed the nature by the fire at nights. The cabin has a cute loft our daughter just could not get enough of. The cabin is very clean and fully equipped. We didn't have to pack anything extra. When the power went off due to the weather, Chrissy was kind to bring candles. Thank you, Chrissy! Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin and letting us be a part of your wonderful journey! We wish you the best of luck in fulfilling your dream!
I rented out the 3 cabins & Chalet for a weekend trip up to Cooperstown with a large group of friends. The cabins were in great shape and we really enjoyed hanging out in the common area & using the firepit. The owners provided all the details prior to our arrival and easy access to our cabins. Everyone on the trip had nothing but good things to say for the property, and we look forward to coming back next year!
Very nice and comfortable in a place where it's nice and quiet.
My son played baseball in cooperstown dreams park. It was a very nice enjoyable stay. Super comfy and i was happy with how the cabin was in the middle of the woods.
The house was truly in a quiet, secluded spot, a nice wooded lot off the beaten path. A little small but alright for a short weekend get-away. Highly recommend the Cooperstown area and the Baseball Hall of Fame, put these three together and you have yourself a good road trip.
Cottages are tucked in a wooded area off the main road giving you a feeling of camping without the tent! With plenty of space between each cottage you have privacy even if traveling with others. Each cottage includes a fire ring, charcoal grill and porch to relax on.
All guests have access to coin washer/dryer located centrally near all cottages. There are 40 acres of woods to explore. Enjoy our meadow walk located at entrance, with many critters to keep an eye out for! Our guests have seen rabbits, deer, turkey, turtles and many more. Please note that all our cottages have a low ceiling in the loft area. This is a great space for kids! Like to fish? Only mins away you take a half mile drive to Crumhorn State fishing access. Or rent a kayak for the day and enjoy the Susquehanna River! Again this is only mins away.
