Cette cabane en rondins authentique de 2 chambres et 1 salle de bain se trouve sur 8 hectares très privés. Vous vous sentirez comme si vous aviez été transformé en cabane à l'ouest! C'est le cadre idéal pour se détendre ou profiter des nombreuses attractions locales. Profitez de votre café ou de vos cocktails sur le porche ou sur le patio confortable du grenier à l'étage. La cabine peut accueillir 5 personnes confortablement et est équipée de tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour votre séjour. Faites une randonnée sur la propriété ou jouez avec les enfants sur la grande pelouse. Organisez une soirée de jeu en famille avec des jeux de table et des jeux de table fournis. Certaines des attractions que cette région a à offrir sont: la motoneige et les sentiers de randonnée, la pêche, le vélo, la chasse, les marchés fermiers, les restaurants locaux, les visites de fermes, les antiquaires et les lieux de mariage et d'événements.
La cabine est proche du village du livre de Hobart, S. U. Y. Oneonta, S. U.N. Y. Delhi, S. U. Y. Cobleskill, Hartwick College et Plattekill, Beleayre, Hunter et Windham. Également à proximité de Cooperstown Dream Park et Oneonta All Star Village.

Great place away from it all

The cabin was perfect for my family. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The kids had a great time exploring and my husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the covered porch, especially during a rain storm. I would definitely suggest this cabin for anyone wanting to get away for a bit.

Great get away!

We stayed here during our Cooperstown baseball tournament. Great price and only about 35 mins from the fields. Very easy getting in and the host was very responsive! Highly recommended!

Perfect cabin experience

Wonderful location, peaceful and surrounded by nature. My children loved searching for frogs and salamanders. The cabin was well designed for a family and the front porch is the perfect place to have your morning coffee. The hosts were super attentive and helpful for the entire stay.

Rustic charm

Cabin Homebase

Excellent cabin. It had everything we needed. And lots of space. It served as our homebase as we had a lot of traveling to do from going West to the Sterling Nature Center at Lake Ontario and the Renaissance Festival also in Sterling NY, and East to Brimfield, MA to the largest flea market in the country (so they say), North to Six Flags indoor Water park as well as going to the Secret caverns that actually has a waterfall in a cave that you are down about 100ft below the ground. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Fabulous Vacation Home

The place was beautiful. I absolutely loved it. It has everything you can possibly want to make a person feel at home. Very clean and well maintain. The place looks exactly like what is shown on-line. Diane and Matt were very helpful. Any time I had questions, they answered immediately. This place was definitely what the doctor ordered. Peaceful and very endearing. I hope Matt and Diane will have me again. I definitely intend to come back. What a wonderful experience.

A Home away from home

My husband & I enjoyed our time so much at the cabin that we even asked if we could stay an extra night and they were very accommodating. The cabin is outfitted for everything you couple possibly hope to find on a cozy log cabin experience from extra blankets, board games, TV with Hallmark channel, books, and a very well equiped kitchen. We spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the beauty of the location. The wifi is great but cell service was spotty, we didn't mind since we were wanting to get away from it all. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Peaceful cabin getaway

We wanted a log cabin experience and that’s exactly what we got! The place is beautiful and and has a great layout. I enjoyed breakfast on the porch each morning before heading into Cooperstown for my sons tournament. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, laundry available, nice bathroom and pet friendly! Thank you!

RENTER BEWARE

The property itself is great, the issue with this listing is the owner. After charging a cleaning fee, he seemed to want us to leave the listing as we found it, so when we left some dishes and and a bit of cleaning in the kitchen, he proceeded to contact me on my personal line and Curse me and my girlfriend out, degrading us, our lifestyle, our animals, all in the meanwhile screaming and than proceeding to laugh at anything I had to say. Threatening to come after me but I live too far, and let's not forget how he said that his cabin looked like it got RAPED?!?!? Excuse me but tell that to a sexual assault survivor. Long story short it's too bad this good property has such a terribly unique owner. Wouldn't wish this after- experience on my worst enemy. He even proceeds to EXAGERATE damages such as saying his refrigerator was broken meanwhile what broke was the shelf that holds condiments on the door. RENTER BEWARE I now think he may be trying to get his cabin upgraded with FALSE CLAIMS. I've rented cabins for over 10 years with dogs and have always had an excellent time and even invited back. Listing should say Cabin should be left as it was found, and of course he than should not charge for cleaning.

Wonderful stay in charming cabin

My family and I had a perfect getaway in this private, charming, cozy, and well appointed cabin. The cabin was exactly as pictured, which was pleasantly surprising. Everything that we could possible need was provided. I was especially pleased that the cabin was pet friendly, and my pup had a great time running around off-leash in the yard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again sometime soon! Thank you for a great stay!

Weekend Getaway

Spend a 3 day weekend at the cabin. Everything was beautiful , clean and kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the fire pit, had some wine on the porch while watching the snow fall , and also had deers visit every morning. Overall great peaceful stay with lots of privacy.

Woodsy hideaway very quiet.

Lovely surroundings and tranquil - this cabin boasted authenticity even through it's not as old as it looks, ample solitude for refreshment, and a very attentive host. We enjoyed the short scenic drive to Cooperstown and all the other off the beaten path local stores, our favorite being the Cider Mill at Fly Creek. We definitely would recommend this house for the nature enthusiast.

Wonderful Getaway

Our stay was very enjoyable. It was a quiet and peaceful setting. The description was very accurate. I learned they have a UV water filtration system installed that purifies all water going into cabin. We have that system in our own home. It was nice that we could allow our dog to be off leash in the yard and even in the woods (up to the no trespassing signs of neighbors). He’s well behaved and stays near us but he enjoyed himself. For anyone else staying here be aware that you should not run the microwave the same time as running the Keurig since running both will trip the breaker, which will need to be reset (downstairs). We had to contact hosts/owners once due to front porch light being out and it’s very dark at night. They were very responsive and fixed it quickly. Honestly, we enjoyed ourselves and would rent cabin again if we go back. Since we were there in October it was a bit chilly in the morning and evening. While the baseboard heaters work well enough it would be nice to have some type of portable fireplace-like heater to take from room to room as needed. The baseboard heaters in the kitchen and bathroom seem to work best. Having a fully equipped kitchen was huge. We have food allergies so we often cook our own food and having that many pots and pans to pick from was very nice. Plenty of dishes, silverware, mugs, glasses and appliances made things easy for us. The fridge/freezer was newer and large. Plenty of room for our groceries. Range is electric and we prefer gas but no biggie. Upstairs bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Only one working bathroom on main floor with plenty of towels and floor mats. We used the fire pit twice while we were there and that was extremely enjoyable. It was a beautiful time to visit the Empire State where I was born and raised. Did some hiking in nearby Stamford and Hobart and got together with friends. Wonderful time. Oh, and don’t forget to stop by Brooks’ House of Bar-B-Q in Oneonta for THE best rotisserie chicken EVER! We’d recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet getaway in the Catskills but only minutes from Stamford and Hobart. About a half hour from Oneonta.

Your hosts run an alpaca farm approximately 1/4 mile away. Farm tours available by appointment. We want your stay to be a memorable experience so if there is anything that you need, just ask! And if you fall in love with the area and want to buy a house or piece of land, your host Diane is a local real estate agent and would love to help you out!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We chose this cabin to purchase as an income property because it is within close proximity to our primary residence and is set on a private and beautiful piece of property. The cabin was hand built by a local craftsman and exhibits beautiful woodwork. We have made many upgrades to the cabin and property. Although we live less than 1/4 mile away, we have used the cabin as our own getaway and take great pride in its upkeep.
