Full of natural light with 2 balconies, this unique 4th floor apartment is a peaceful oasis in the city. Featuring a workspace with sit-stand desk and ergonomic chair. Renovated with clay tiles, wood floors, and double glass soundproofed doors and windows. Two queen-size bedrooms open onto a quiet courtyard balcony. Historic Catalan details (wooden beams, brick, french doors) and an open floorplan. You will love relaxing here!
Barcelona's biggest park is a 2 min walk away and walking another 5 min. in the park brings you to one of the most epic panoramic views of the entire city (Mirador del Poble Sec). La Rambla is just a 15 min. walk away. The peaceful apartment enjoys a very central location and at the same time, is in a cool family-friendly neighbourhood. A visit to Barcelona does not get any better than this!
The open floor plan makes working, cooking and relaxing at the same time easy. The high ceilings and double french doors provide a lot of natural light and an airy feeling. The workspace (desk, chair, and monitor) has been added in front of the brick wall in living room where previously the low wicker chair was- see living room photo. The workspace features a juniper wood electric adjustable sit-stand desk made by local Barcelona startup Ergo Nature Wood and a Steelcase ergonomic chair. You will love getting things done!
Bathroom: The bathroom is uniquely spacious for an apartment of this size and receives natural light through a frosted glass panel with the adjoining bedroom. The rain shower head ensures a luxurious shower experience.
Bedrooms: Closets and a dresser provide you plenty of room to store your personal items during your stay. Both bedrooms have direct access to the back balcony. The comfortable beds are queen sized (160 cm x 200 cm). Note: the layout photo shows one bed as being smaller than the other. This is an error. Both beds are queen sized (160 cm x 200 cm).
Balconies: The apartment has a front balcony facing the street where you can enjoy people watching and a view of the park and in the distance a view of the mountains that surround Barcelona. The back balcony is quiet and has a cafe table and chairs so you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening tapas while looking out over neighbours gardens and Parc Montjuic.
Washer: A washing machine lives under the outdoor sink on the back balcony. So, it is easy to do laundry during your stay.
Our favorite part about the apartment is that it feels like an oasis in the city. With phenomenal soundproofing, when you shut the doors and windows, you can't hear any noise from outside creating a peaceful space for working, cooking, and relaxing.
Being on the 4th floor provides beautiful views from both balconies, including views of Park Montjuic. And having the two bedrooms on the back side of the apartment away from the street means they remain calm and quiet for sleeping and relaxing.
The apartment has an elegant and uniquely symmetrical layout (see layout photo). And the original brick, wooden beams and Catalan vaulted ceiling are a lovely reminder that the apartment dates back to the early 1900s. We also love that the french doors in the apartment are all original and have been impeccably restored .
All lighting was also exceptionally redone in the recent renovation with dimmer switches included so you can easily customize your preferred level of light in the apartment in the evenings.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
Poble Sec is a locals neighbourhood with beautiful historic architecture at the foot of Montjuic Park. The park has amazing views out over the ocean and city which you can reach within a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The park has many walking paths and is the largest green space in Barcelona's center.
The neighbourhood offers everything you need with plenty of grocery stores, cafes and restaurants. It has recently become known for having some of the best restaurants in the city (check out my city guide or message me for recomendations). A close walk from the apartment, Calle Blai is a pedestrian-only street famous for its pinchos (mini sandwich tapas)! It makes for a fun night out. Also close by, Plaza Sortidor is a charming plaza where you can get a drink or dine outdoors. Poble Sec is the perfect choice to stay in for its central location and its reputation as a quiet, safe, locals neighbourhood. You will feel its friendly laid-back style right away upon arrival.
